normally I find nothing of Snape to be useful or positive.. it seems here a realistic approach to a guy in a proverbial rock&hard place scenario.
just don't let Harry name the kid Albus Severus..(G)A Fist Full of Galleons

I wanna see Draco's attempts leave him being punished by his own peers or father/Snape until he offs himself in the most embarassing way... hehe...A Fist Full of Galleons

interesting chapter, and I find the new, pragmatic Snape an extremely interesting character.
Looking forward to more

Hmm, now that's a bit different Snape, even from canon. He seems to have grown weary of serving both his masters and appears to consider helping Harry to be a better approach to resolving matters. It's obvious he put the best possible spin on matters, but that's not -that- unusual a behavior for anyone. I have to wonder if Severus is going to shade his reports to his masters to aid and abet Harry's delaing with the situation? Not because he likes Harry but because Harry represents an alternative he dislikes less than either of his two masters. I suspect it's going to be interesting to see what happens when the Slyterhin students try to harm Harry's friends, there may well be several spending considerable time with Madame Pomfrey.A Fist Full of Galleons

Clell -- now we all know better than to totally trust Snape. I think canon!Snape wanted two things -- to survive, and for Volde to lose. He got half of what he wanted. We saw that Snape will do anything to come out ahead, including killing his protector when there had to be better ways which should have prevented the situation from fully developing. Snape's only hope was to put his faith in Dumbledore's plan (not that Snape knew the whole plan until near the very end of book 7).
Does this Snape like or trust Harry? No. Does he wonder, for the first time, if Harry has the guts and brass to do what needs to be done? Yes.
Will Harry show Snape he can be more ruthless than Dumbledore but not as bloodthirsty and greedy as Voldemort?
1st clue, next chapter!

Great chapter, Snape is one of my favorite chars in the books and it is nice to see a side of him that most people do not show. Great way of including the potions book by having Snape give it to Harry. I look forward to seeing the next installment of this story.

Good chapter. This seems to be a bit more self aware Snape than many. Thanks for writing. W.A Fist Full of Galleons

Ewwwwww "good" Snape you know he is not a good man according to cannon he is a murderer who wanted lily potter as a sex slave and greately handicaped britian with shortening the numbers of potential healers and aurors not to mention the fact that he fought the potential death eaters that it was perfectly acceptable to hurt people for fun
