(#) warwornlipstick 2009-05-28Aw! Oh my gosh, that chapter was just to great :D
I'm glad Gerard got Frank the guitar he'd been wanting, even though it wasn't, according to Jackson, that one special gift he needed to show Frank how much he loved him.
And I'm thinking, if Frank and Gerard were to get a kid of their own, would it make everything better? Would Gerard's agreeing to wanting a child be the gift that Frank needs? Ohh, so many questions.
Anyways, great chapter. Can't wait for more :)
- As much as i love him, I don't entirely agree with everyone about the "dont kill Frankie" thing. Or else its just too predictable, you know? Its like oh a happy ending, he doesn't die after all and its all happy ever after. but then he cant die, cos that happens in so many stories, and its like oh well this is fate, its meant to be, its my time. And its all peaceful and tears and sad yet happy, and ARGG I don't know its just so HARD to be original these days. Oh well, Whatever you have planned i know it will work PERFECTLY, I cant wait to see!!!!!!
(#) thegayestgoth 2009-05-30keep the original ending.
if frank lives, the story is ruined in a way. meaning since it's based on the movie. life has more crappy endings than happy ones. i say leave it the way the movie did. it'd be so much more...real.
but you're the writer. while i'm wanting frank to live, because the human subconcious can't really accept death, i persona;;y say keep it the way it is. since you're the writer and we, the audience, know what's coming, it can technically be manipulated for our comfort. but all writing isn't meant for comfort. i'm DYING for the end of the story. i'd given up hope that you were alive, lol! but i'm glad you're back and i'm tatally digging where the story is going. keep up the good work, my dear!
okay. on to the review. three parts stuck out to me.
"My mama raised me."
for some reason, that pinched my heart really hard. it made me think of the current relationship with my parents. how my old man flaked when i really needed hime, how it was basically just my mom who raised us, and how my old man wants to take an interest in my life now. i liked that part because it was relateable, thus making it very ral. you know how a reader loves to be able to identify with a character in the story! so i'm sold for this one! when i heard gerard say "mam" instead of "mom", it seems to me there was still a hurt child somewhere inside of him. or a prud child. "my mam raised me," gee said with passion. i love how you used the word "mama". it's more...hmmm...human.
"don't you believe in second chances?" BAM!!! karma just took a huge bite of gerard right there. i like how you said gee "was prone to second chances these days". that part made me laugh for some reason.
for the third part, i had to go back. i don't remeber what part it was that spoke to me, though. i think it may have been the part about the wedding reception, and how sweet frankie wished he'd had a "real" wedding. and cake. that was so cute! frankie wanted cake!!! awwwh!!!
- i love this! i just found it threw different fan fics and i was like this is fringing amazing!!!!!! i dont want frankie to die! i want something to happen to make him live! i also want to know what the gift is that gerard is suppose to give frank... please please please please please please update soon! it's really amazing!
