Let's have some Alex and Celeste time and for good measure throw in some Jack Barakat sexiness.

Thanks again for the rates and the reviews. I dont want Realmonsters to hijack all of the grilled cheese so I am posting today. This story is just pouring out of my fingers and I want to get as much out to you as possible. Here is the next chappy. Enjoy!

“So. Umm your homeroom is here on the first floor. We don’t have the same homeroom but you do have homeroom with one of my friends.” Alex said guiding me around the corner from the main office.

I sighed maybe a little to loud because Alex noticed.

“You alright?”

“Yeah just fine.”

“Ok. So where was I?”

“Your friend.”

“Yeah. He is really easy going. You’ll like him.”

I didn’t like the idea of being handed off from one person the next. The feeling was uncomfortable and I had spent way to much time making sure I didn’t need anyone to take care of me (Besides Joseph) to let it all slip away. Before I had a chance to think my slight annoyance took over.

“Let me guess he has the second shift?”

“Sort of.”

“Well just how many of you are there?”

“how many what?”

“babysitters?”

“We are not you babysitters. We are just a well selected group of kids that have been chosen to be at your beck and call." He paused and sighed in defeat. "Okay well maybe we are a bit like babysitters. But how bad can it be being watched all day long?”

“You didn’t answer my question Alex. Please tell me how many watchers there are.”

“Fine. There are three guys including myself and one girl for your gym period.”

“geez. Think I might reconsider home schooling.”

“Hey its not that bad.”

“Really. Any you know cause you are blind right?”

“Um. Look I didn’t mean… that’s not what I meant. I’m…”

I could feel the awkwardness. I had made him unintentionally nervous and in the process was a total bitch. This was not his fault and probably was not his idea. Beside he probably had better things to do than show a blind girl around the school. Putting this short and sweet, it was not his fault and I knew it. Time to apologize.

“Look. I’m sorry. I just hate being treated like a charity case. It bugs me. I didn’t mean to take this out on you.”

“No Problem. Hey if you want I can trip you or maybe let you walk into a wall or two.” He said letting go of me elbow. I could feel him chuckle. “that was a joke by the way.” He stated grabbing on to my elbow again and pulling me to the left.

“I know.” I said smiling.

“Ok here we go. You homeroom teachers name is Ms. Klein. Your locker is right outside this room. At the end of the day one of us will bring you here so you can get your things and then we will walk you where you have to go.”

“Cool.”

“Here let me help you.” Alex said grabbing my backpack and walking me into the room. There was no use in arguing with him. This was how it was going to be. “Ms. Klein, this is Celeste. She’s new.”

“Celeste. I’ve been expecting you. It is very nice to meet you. I want to have a word with you before you head off to first period which is in this room. But first I think you need to be introduced to your other guide. Jack, can you please stop throwing paper balls at Andrew or I will have to give you detention on the first day of class.”

I could hear laughter all around me and then the sound of a chair scrapping against the wood floors. Then I could hear someone walking forward and step out of the room. Alex grasped my elbow and lead me out. I heard Ms. Klein giving out the rest of the schedules while Alex introduced me to my second babysitter.

“Celeste. This is Jack Barakat. Jack this is your first propriety from the hours of homeroom to 2rd period. Well that and passing algebra.” Alex said with a laugh.

“Hey. I passed math last year. I should do fine this year.” I heard him say. The air shifted a bit and I could tell that he had taken a swipe at Alex.

I couldn’t help but smile. I also couldn’t help but notice that though Alex had a mature voice, Jack’s was different. It was mature but childish at the same time and edge to it playfulness almost. I would have no problem separating the two.

“Okay Jack take it easy. But in all seriousness. This is important. You know…”
Before Alex could continue his sentence Ms. Klein came into the hallway.

“Alex I think you should get to homeroom. I am sure that Jack is more than capable of taking over from here. Celeste does not look like she is going to be much trouble at all. Are you Celeste?”

Before I could stop, a case of word vomit hit.

“I wont be much trouble. Now walls and stairs and desks and the likes will be trouble. They have a way of just placing themselves in front of me and before I know it I wind up on my butt, tripping over air or banging my head right against a wall.”

Jeez what the hell was wrong with me. I never ramble like that. I knew that I was blushing. I could feel the color moving into my cheeks. Thankfully Ms. Klein saved me.

“Well then, we will be sure to keep a close eye one you wont we Jack?” She said as she took me from Alex and lead me into the room.

“Yes Ms. Klein.” He said.

Before the door closed behind us I heard Alex whisper something to Jack. Whispering was never a good thing. Especially when it came to me and boys.

I could tell that today was going to be an extremely long day.
