When I finally got myself out of bed, I smelled something sweet. So, I started heading downstairs. I didn't realize that I was wearing my soffee shorts and a tank top. I must have changed before I went to bed, I just can't remember doing it. When I walked into the kitchen mom was flippin' pancakes and Landon and Luke were at the counter eating some.
"Well, good mornin' sleeping beauty." Mom hollered
"Ayyee." I said rubbin' my eye
My brothers just sat there eating their food. Landon my oldest brother, is a senior and 18. He has medium length light brown shaggy hair with dark brown eyes to match, he also has a tan left over from the summer months. Luke my other brother,which is a sophomore and the same age as me 16, but he is older by only a couple months is like a miniture Landon. Luke, though, has curly brown hair with his dark brown eyes. He is also tan. These boys must be out in the sun all the time. The only thing I have in common when it comes to looks with my brothers, is my hair. I have long dark brown hair past my shoulders. But, I don't have brown eyes, I have blue eyes. I'm not naturally tan, so I have to go to the tanning beds to get my color. My brothers take after my mom and I obviously take after my dad.
"What? Your not gunna say hi to me. I see how it is." I said to my brothers putting out my hand like whatever
"Oh, I was too into my pancakes to notice you standing there." Landon said
"Ya, i'm sure of it."
"Hey." Luke said
"Oh, hey there brother. At least you say hey to me." I said jokingly
"I'm the nice one. You should know that by now."
Landon gave him a nudge with his elbow, after he said that.
"So, what were you guys doing yesterday that was so important you couldn't be home to greet me?" I said givin' them the stare
"Friends. You know how it is." Landon said with his mouth full
Mom just gave him a stare after he said that.
"I seen you went to bed early last night." Mom said
"Oh, ya. I laid on my bed and before I knew it I was out." I said taking a seat my Luke at the counter
"Well, you did have a big day yesterday."
"Mhhmm."
Mom put a plate of pancakes infront of me.
"You do like pancakes...don't you?" Mom said
"Ya, its just that i'm not quite use to it, living with dad in all." I said
"Ya, well get use to it now, cause mom does it 24/7." Luke said
"I will."
By the time I was finished eating, Luke and Landon were off doing their own thing. It was just mom and I, since Steve was off at work.
"Did you bring anything besides shorts and tanktops?" Mom asked
"Umm, not really. I didn't realize it was going to be this cold." I said with a chuckly
"Well, we will just have to go shopping won't we?" Mom said with a big grin
"Yes, yes we will."
After I had got ready mom and I were off to the mall. Mom had a nice cadillac escalde. It was black with white leather interior. She was rollin' big.
"Dang! Mom you be rollin' big." I said
"OH, ya this was a birthday present for me from Steve and the boys."
"Man, ya back home dad got me the new 2010 Mustange Gt for my 16th birthday."
Oh, your probably asking how in the hell can you afford that. Well, my dad is a high time lawyer with his own firm. He makes good money to say the least.
"Well, did you just leave it there at his house?"
"I didn't know how to get it over here."
"Oh, well we are going to have to find something for you to drive." Mom said with another big smile
I just looked at her. What does she have planned is all I wanna know. We got to the Jackon mall. It was pretty big.
"So, where do you wanna go first?" mom asked
"Hmm, I guess A&F." I said looking at her
We walked in the store and they had that funcky music they always paly goin' and the smell that is to die for.

"What'd you buy?" I heard Landon ask as mom and I came in with all my backs
"Well." I said getting prepared to tell him the long ass list
"I got 7 shirts, 4 pairs of pants, 3 tanks tops, 2 fury vests, and a coat from A&F. Then 2 pairs of boots from Buckle. Some stuff from Hollister, Pacsun, AE, and other stores." I said all finished
"Wow, big shopper." He said with a light laugh
"What can I say, I'm a girl." I said shruggin' my shoulders
I went upstairs and put all of my things up. Then I got on the computer to check my myspace. I wonder how my friends are doing. No one ever texts me or anything. I haven't even got a text from Connor. Can we not still be friends or is he going to make it hard? When the page opened I had new messages and comments. The messages were from one of my friends named Nancy.
"Hey girl, how are things going there? I Miss you! I wish you could have stayed here. Connor has been a mess since the day you have left. We barely see him anymore. Well, talk to you later."
I didn't feel like being on here anymore so, I got off. I couldn't deal with old memories. I guess I had been up in my room for over 2 hours because it was like 7. I decided to go downstairs and see what everyone was doing. When I walked into the living room there were not only my brothers, but a huge group of guys.
"Who's the chick?" I heard one of the guys ask
Landon and Luke look back.
"Oh, that's our sister. She is living with us now." Landon said back
"You guys never mentioned you have a sister."
"It's not something we brag about." Landon said with a laugh
"Oh, thanks. Way to make my self asteem go up."
"Are you gunna introduce us?" Another one of the guys asked
"Oh, sure. Guys this is Kamby, Kamby guys." Landon said to into his video game to even look up
"Where did you move here from?"
"California."
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Someone asked
"Hey." Luke said
Uh, someone would have to mention the whole boyfriend situation. Now, it's making memories come back. Memories I don't want to think about. So I just run upstairs and slam my door.
"I guess that's a yes." He said
"Dude, you can't say things like that. She's a little messed up."
"What do you mean.. messed up?"
"Just forget about it." Landon said giving Luke the evil stare
"Fine." The dude said
After I slammed my door I jumped on my bed and the tears just started flooding out of my eyes. I couldn't help myself. I started thinking about Connor as much as I didn't want to. I heard a knock at my door.
"What?" I asked trying to hide the fact that I was crying
"Can I come in?" I heard someone ask
"Uh, hold on." I said getting up and looking at myself in the mirror
I went over and opened the door. It was the guy who asked if I had a boyfriend.
"Hey, I didn't mean to upset you about the whole boyfriend situation." He said apologizing
"Ah, it's ok. I just get so overwhelmed when I think about it." I said going back over to my bed with him following
"You can sit if you want to." I said looking at the bed
"Thanks."
"Are you one of Luke or Landons friends?"
"Well, im both but more on the side of Landon." He said with a chuckle
"I'm Kamby." I said holding out my hand
"Ya, I know, I'm Austin." He said shaking my hand
"So, what grade are you in?" He asked
"Sophomore."
"Senior." He said flexing his muscles like he was hot shit
"Ha, are you trying to tell me something by that." I said pointing to his arms
"Nah, I do this for all the ladies." He said taking them down now
I gave him a little shove.
"So, do you like it here so far?" He asked
"Well, it's no Cali, but it's pretty ok."
"Ya, you came on a good week."
"Why is that?" I ask
"FALL BREAK BABY!"
"Ohhhhh.. nice." I said laying back against a pillow
"Our school is pretty ok too, i'm sure you'll make friends in no time." He said trying to cheer me up I could tell
"Oh, at least I have one?" I said looking at him with my eyebrow raised
"Who?" He asked being smart
I just shoved him again.
"You don't have a girlfriend I should watch out for do you?"
"OH,no. No girlfriend with this god."
"You are weird." I say
"You know you like it." He said giving me a shove now
"Do you have a phone?" He asked
"I believe so."
"Can I have yo numba?" He asked
"Ha, sure. Just one thing."
"What?" He asked confused
"Give meh yours." I said
"Ahhhhk." He said handing me his phone
"Just put it in here and I'll put mine in yours."
"Well, I guess I should head back down with the guys before they think i've went missing." He said getting up
"Ok. Thanks for talking to me." I said
"Anytime. That's what friends are for." He said looking at me
After he left I just stared at my wall. Austin was kinda cute. He was probably about 6 foot 1. He had brown curly hair and dark brown eyes. He wasn't tan like my brothers. He had frekles. He also had a really deep voice. Which was good.
