Some of the characters contained in the story are references to the video for America's Suitehearts. All the characters in the video are references to lyrics throughout Folie A Deux.

CHAPTER 1:
We meet Mr Sandman - he is Pete's character in the video. He is referenced in Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet. He is described in the chapter.
CHAPTER 2:
We meet Dr Benzedrine - he is Patrick's character in the video. He is referenced in 20 Dollar Nose Bleed. Although the lyric is Mr Benzedrine, they used Dr Benzedrine in the video, I've stuck with this for consistency.
CHAPTER 4:
We meet Donnie, The World's Greatest Catcher - he is Andy's character in the video. He is reference in (of course) What A Catch, Donnie. He is described in the chapter.
CHAPTER 5:
We meet 'The Photographers' - Freelance criminals in The Hills. Using their cameras to obtain what they want, they then sell to the highest bidder
We also hear about The Guv'nor - more about him later.
CHAPTER 14:
We get a reference to Joe’s character in the video – Mr H Shoe Crab, The Luckiest Man Alive
