Cyrinda woke up after hearing a loud bang. She looked and saw Jared holding a gun. He shot Joe and pointed the gun towards her. She bolted out of bed as he pulled the trigger. She ran out to the hallway and out into the cold air. She knocked of her neighbors door, asking for help. Their neighbor slammed the door in her face, telling her to stop doing drugs and that she's not being funny. Then she froze when she saw him standing beside her. She screamed as he pulled the trigger...

Cyrinda woke up at 3 am, drenched in sweat. She looked to her left and realized Joe was not there. She walked out and saw him sitting on one of the chairs in the kitchen table, smoking a cigarette. There was an empty shot glass in front of him. The lighting was dim. For some reason, he looked pretty cool sitting in a chair in dim lighting, smoking a cigarette, with an empty shot glass in front of him. This is something you could put in a movie. Joe would be sitting there, waiting for somebody to stop by and give him the money they owed him. He'd find out they didn't have the money and he'd pull out a gun and shoot that person. Either that or Joe would get interviewed and the interviewer would take a picture of him like that and put it on the front cover.
"Hey what are you doing up?" She sat down on one of the chairs.
"Just thinking. What are you doing up?" He exhaled from his cigarette.
She sighed "I had a nightmare."
"What happened?"
"Seth came back and killed you. I ran to go get help from the neighbors and they all told me to stop doing drugs and telling them that was not funny. Then he found and shot me."
He exhaled his cigarette and lightly tapped on it to dump some of the ash on the ash tray in front of him "Oh wow... That's freaky."
"So I hope you don't mind me asking but what exactly were you thinking about?"
Joe let out a deep sigh "Just thinking y'know. About all this drama. I wasn't expecting this to happen. Fuck, I never really thought this would ever happen."
"Oh." She said in a low voice.
"Why didn't you tell me about him?" He crushed his cigarette on the ash tray in front of him. He leaned back and crossed his arms.
"You don't talk about your exs and neither do I. I don't tell anybody what he did. Nobody knows except for you and me. It's none of their business anyway. When he came back and raped me again, I thought if we were going to get married, then I would have to come clean to you about this."
"Oh I understand now."
"Yeah..."
Then they sat in silence until Joe broke the silence.
"I think we should... well... um... take some time apart." He said quietly and looked down.
"I thought you said you would never leave me and you'd support me. What the hell?!"
He shrugged his shoulders and quietly answered "I'm just under a lot of stress. I just need to think and need to be alone."
She angrily sighed, "So what? We're not getting married anymore?"
He looked up and answered "Sounds like it..."
She stood up, took the ring off her finger and set it down on the table "Here take it"
He looked at the ring and then at her "I'm sorry."
"You know there were so many times where I wanted to break things off between us, but I decided to stay because I loved you. For god sakes Joe, I left Jared to be with you!" She said loudly and walked away when her eyes began to water. Joe got up and followed her.
"I just wanna let you know that I still love you."
"Then why are you doing this?" She snapped "Do you know how hard it was to leave him? He kept calling and coming to my apartment a week after he broke up."
He sighed "All I need is some time alone. That's all. We've been fighting most of the time and when we finally stop, something bad happens!"
She threw her hands up in the air "Of course we've been fighting because you've been accusing me of cheating!"
He stayed quiet.
"I still don't know why you're doing this. You've done stuff to the point where I wanted break up with you but did I? No, I stayed by your side because I loved you!"
He didn't know what to say next. She had a good point. He'd piss her off and would think she was going to break up with him but she never did. He realized how lucky he was to be with her. He was beginning to think he didn't deserve her.
"I'm gonna go sleep in the living room and before you ask, I heard everything you said." He left the room, feeling extremely guilty.

Later
Joe sat on the stoop outside of Steven's apartment, smoking when Steven asked Joe how everything was with Cyrinda. Joe told Steven about Jared, how he broke into Joe's car and left and note, and how they are having trouble with their relationship.
"I don't know what to do. I still love her but I don't know..." He shook his head and looked down.
"You sound sad..."
"Well I am! She told me I've done stuff to her to drive her to the point of almost breaking up with me. She didn't break up with me though because she loved me and wanted to stay by my side. Now to think of it, I don't even deserve her." Joe sadly explained and looked down at his feet.
"Don't beat yourself up." Steven replied.
Joe looked back up and asked "What should I do? She gave back the ring."
"Why?"
"I forgot to tell you that part. I told her that we should take sometime apart and she threw the ring at me! Okay I exaggerated, she set the ring down."
Steven looked at Joe and shook his head. "Yeah I remember when I first met him, He gave me attitude."
"He beat her." Joe said quietly.
"Well good thing is you don't do that to her!"
Joe stayed quiet
"WHAT?!"
"I know, I know. I didn't mean to though. Now I feel horrible. What should I say to her?"
"Apologize. Don't go up to her with roses because that's cheesy." He chuckled.
"Then how?"
Steven shrugged his shoulders "Be creative."
Joe sighed and stayed quiet for a moment. "I'm gonna head back. Y'know, to see if she hasn't thrown my stuff out." He laughed a little and stood up.
"Call me and tell me how it was."
"Alright. See ya"
"See ya later man" Steven waved. Joe walked to his car, turned the car on and backed out of the driveway...

Back at the apartment
"WHERE IS HE?!" Jared yelled. He had just got there. He came by looking for Joe but he wasn't there.
"I don't know!" Cyrinda yelled back.
He took out a gun and pointed it at her "TELL ME OR I'LL FUCKING BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT!"
"SETH, I'M BEING HONEST WITH YOU! I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE'S AT! I GOT UP THIS MORNING AND HE WAS-" She explained but got interrupted by Jared, who had pushed her to the fall.
"I DON'T WANNA HEAR A STORY!" The gun clicked and he pointed it to her. She swallowed hard and felt her heart beating fast. The door opened.
"Hey what are you doing here?"

Cyrinda's POV
I was lying down on the ground, looking at the pistol Jared was pointing at my face. This is it, he's finally going to do it. Then all the sudden, I heard the door open and heard a voice call out. It's Joe. I'm so glad to see him here but at the same time I was scared because he was in danger too. Jared turned around "There you are."
"What do you want and why is my fiancee on the ground?" He reffered to me as his fiancé. Wow am I glad to hear that!
"Your fiancee?" He laughed "You're getting married to this slut? Oh, you're the one who took her away from me huh?"
"I was tired of you beating me!" I blurted out, making things worser then it already was but I had to say it.
"I wouldn't have done that if you had done what I told you to do! You ungrateful slut!" Jared snarled.
"Don't call her a slut!" I looked at Joe and he appeared to be very angry. Jared turned around and fired his gun at Joe. The bullet barely missed him. Joe ran towards Jared and tried getting the gun away from him. A gun shot fired again but it hit the wall. A couple of gun shots fired and I saw a body fall to the ground...

Who got shot? Does anybody die? The next chapter will answer all your questions... Maybe muhahaha lol jk :]
