Joe set the phone down and had a confused look on his face.
"Huh."
"What? Who was that on the phone?"
"It was the cops. They want me to come down to the station."
"Did they tell you why?"
"No." He put on his shoes "They just said to come down to the station."
"They just probably have more questions to ask. Or just probably want to know what happened." Cyrinda shrugged.
"Maybe" He put on his coat "I hope that's what they want."
He walked to the door "I'm gonna go now okay? I'll be back later."
"Okay be careful."
"Yeah I will." He walked out.
30 minutes later
Joe walked back in the hotel room and announced "Geez, it's cold outside!"
"Did you see how cold it was?" Cyrinda asked, looking away from her book.
"Around the 20s. It's December, So I don't find it that surprising. The cops wanted to hear what happened last night."
"Really? See told you!" She set her book down on the night stand beside her.
"You're always right!" He layed down on the bed.
"Damn straight!" She giggled. He looked around the room.
"Wow everything in this room is white. That's the only color that's in here. Well except for our clothes and bags."
"And you just noticed?" She laughed. The door knocked.
"I'll get it." Joe mumbled as he got out of bed. Two police officers came in.
Joe looked confused.
"I was just at the police station. I told them what they needed to hear" He thought to himself.
"Mr. Perry you are under arrest." One of the cops said as they pulled out a pair of handcuffs "For the attempted murder of Jared Elliot."
"What?! He tried mudering me!"
"Yeah right!" The cop scoffed at Joe.
"He did!" Cyrinda said.
"Please turn around and spread your legs and hands."
"Why?"
"So I can see if you have anything illegal in your pockets."
"Oh no! You're going to find that gram of coke I'm hiding in my pocket!" He sarcastically said.
"Mr. Perry, we can do this the easy way or the hard way!" The other cop added. Joe didn't want to get tasered or hit with a nightstick, so he turned around. He didn't have anything on him.
"Put your hands behind your back." Joe did what the cops told him to do and put his hands behind his back. The handcuffs clicked. Cyrinda watched the cops take Joe out. The door shut. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair.
'Great.... Just fucking great'
