Steven told the judge everything that happened that night. He said Jared was holding the gun, and was the one who shot Joe. The judge dismissed him. Steven sat down next to Joey. Then they called Cyrinda up to the court.
'Weird, they never told me I would be testifying' She thought to herself as she sat down.
"Will you please tell me what happened on November 18, 1977 and December 1, 1977?" Jared's lawyer asked "And please do not leave out anything!"
"On November 18, I woke up and found myself home alone. I had just finished fixing the sheets on our bed in the bedroom when I heard the front door knock. I went to go answer it and when I did, I found Jared standing there. He pushed me and walked in. He asked me where Joe was at. I told him I did not know where he was at. He thought I was lying and took out a gun. He pointed the gun at me and told me he would kill me if I did not tell him where Joe was at. Then I found myself on the ground and I heard the gun click. The door opened and I saw Joe. Jared tried to shot Joe but he missed. Then I saw Joe run towards Jared so he could try to take the gun away from him. Gun shots were fired and they were both on the ground." She looked at Jared. He was glaring at her. She glared back.
"Okay can you tell us what happened on the night of December 1, 1977?"
"Sure!" She paused and told everybody what happened that day.
"Okay you can sit back down" The judge said. She walked back to her seat and sat down. Joe was looking at her, smiling. She smiled back and watched him turn back around. The jury had to go make their decision. They came back 5 minutes later and spoke to the judge. The judge banged on the gravel and said "We, the jury, find Anthony Joseph Perry..."
