A little interaction between Tom and his pet, with a little interference from William... Does this surprise us any?
1Insightful
Tom frowned when he felt his connection to Salcido severe abruptly, a sign that his servant was no longer amongst the semi-living. His body must have tensed, because his mate looked up at him with curious brown eyes, the movement causing Tom to turn his attention to the waking male.
“Master, what’s wrong?” He questioned as he reached up and touched the spot between Tom’s brows where they were pushing together.
“Salcido’s gone,” Tom answered, moving his hand along his lover’s naked side before he got up from the bed. “If he’s dead that means things have to move quickly before they escape and we lose them.”
“Are you going with your fighters?”
“I want to make sure things go right, so I don’t lose anymore of my men,” Tom answered as he pulled his clothes on and proceeded to pull on his coat to have more storage space for some small guns. His coat has two holsters in the sides, as well as two pockets to the side of those for extra ammunition storage. “I knew there would be a risk in helping William, but I would rather save as many men as possible.”
He looked up when he saw his lover, already dressed, standing before him. “I want to come with you, Master,” he stated, the determination in his tone bringing a smile to Tom’s lips. “I need to.”
“Revenge shouldn’t interest you, love,” Tom said as he cupped the male’s face. “You are better than that. Besides, I’m not bringing you with me because I could lose you too, and that is one loss I would never forgive myself for. Stay here.”
“I’m coming with you.”
“You’re staying here and it’s final, Andrew,” Tom snapped, his fangs barred to show it was the final word, leaving the younger Wentz looking down at the ground with a hurt look that softened Tom’s features. “I’m sorry, my love, but what would you do if the situation was switched? Could you bring me, knowing of the risk it held?”
“But I need to see him,” Andrew softly muttered as the older vampire caressed his cheek. “I need to.”
“It’s too dangerous, I won’t repeat it again,” Tom growled, his loving demeanor once more disappearing.
“Give in to staying,” whispered a voice in Andrew’s head.“I’ll help you, just let him leave.”
“Why should I trust you?” Andrew questioned the voice as he bowed his head. “I’m sorry, Master,” he whispered. “Please calm down. You wouldn’t want to go into this fight without a level head. I’m sorry I upset you.”
“I’ve helped you before, haven’t I? Isn’t Tom the love of your life?” Countered William. “What reason have I given you to not trust me?”
Tom’s demeanor cooled as he kissed his lover’s bent head. “I’m sorry my pet, but you have to understand that you mean the world to me. I already lived so much of my life without you, please don’t ask me to spend the rest of my eternity the same way. I can’t lose you, Andrew.”
“I’ll stay Tom,” he replied as Tom’s hand came up under his chin to lift his bent head. “Just come back to me, alive. I don’t want to spend my eternity alone either.” “Do you promise you can help?”
“I’ll swear on anything you want me to, young Wentz.”
Andrew gave a soft sigh of content when Tom’s lips captured his own in a slow, passionate kiss. “How do you plan to help me?” His eyes closed as the kiss grew deeper and Tom drew him closer.
“We’ll talk when your lover and his group have gone.”
“I’ll come to your room when he is gone…”
“Until then…”
Andrew moaned as Tom’s hands moved to his hips and gave a small squeeze before he broke away, his darkened eyes staring at Andrew. “Promise me you’ll come back Tom.”
“I promise, my love, I promise.”

After his Master had left, Andrew found himself standing out the guest room, waiting for William to come to the door after he had knocked on it. His nerves were standing on end as the realization replayed over and over in his mind that he was about to disobey Tom. Normally he wouldn’t do such a thing, but he needed to this for himself.
When the door opened, William’s eyes met with his and with a movement of his hand, gestured the younger Wentz inside the guest room that he had taken up residence in. When Andrew was inside the room, he shut the door and turned to face the younger Wentz that he had taken so long ago and looked him over, noting how much he had changed since he first had him. “Thank you, for trusting me,” he spoke in Andrew’s mind. “It means much to me to have anyone trusting me these days.”
“Maybe if you would stop playing games with people they would have more reason to trust you,” Andrew suggested with a raised brow. “Were you actually going to help me, or is this another game of yours?”
“You wound me with your words, Andrew,” William replied, his lips pursing slightly. “I have never played a game with you.”
“You’ve played games with Tom though,” Andrew countered, folding his arms over his chest. “I’ve heard of what you’ve done to him in the past.”
“If he has forgiven me, maybe you should as well.”
“Even if I forgive you for Tom, I won’t forgive you for Pete.”
William’s eyebrows rose as he looked at Andrew, confusion written all over his face. “For Pete? The brother who gave you up to me after you pushed him away? The brother who sealed your fate as payback for hurting him?”
“I’ll never forgive him for what he did to me, William, but it all goes back to you, and how you turned him,” Andrew explained. “If you had never turned him, I wouldn’t have pushed him away, and none of this would be happening.”
William frowned as he moved to his bed and sat on the edge of it. “I’m beginning to wonder if you even do want my help. Why do you need to be there to watch your brother get killed anyway?”
Andrew frowned. “I need to see him get what he deserves.”
[Author's Note: What a twist! Sorry, but that popped in my head and I had to type it lol. Okay, so this is almost a week late, but at first it was my fault cos I couldn't write, then the internet went wonky on me. Luckily it was the whole house, not just the comp Chris Jr. gave me and Shaun. So yes, here is the next chapter, I'll be posting the next one on the 25th, but I have to ask, what did you think of the bit with Andrew? =P)
