  They don't accept NC-17 stories. for those you need to use Adultfanfiction.net, That is why some people posted here, because Fanfiction.net pulled the stories for being "too explicit".

  Mediaminer is also ok
  Restrictedsection.org was set up to cater for this and the site is better programed but it hasn't been updated in a while. Perhaps with this demise they may come back up.

  Personaly, I like http://www.hpfanficarchive.com/stories/ , since it's easy to overview, and isn't too restricted, unless your into exstreme cases with underaged/adults (mostly this means non-consensual/rape involving adult minors) or slash (though it doesn't have a problem with fem-slash).
  If you want slash, I think it has another site thats dedicated to that.

  while there is a lot of slash at ff.net there are also regular asult stories my favorites over there are filled with them.

  HoosYourDaddy has been posting the story "It can only happen to Harry" on ffn. That's the canary in the smutty birdcage for me...if that makes the cut as a "M" rated story, then most anything posted here on ficwad can.

  FFN seems to be erratic on what they allow. The only guideline that seems to apply is that slash stories are given full freedom (God I get tired of wading through the draco anally impregnating harry crap).
  
  I find it sad that this site may close. I've enjoyed reading here during long dull periods at my office (self employed).
  
  To those writers that have contributed here you have my thanks. Several of you should in fact get off your asses and start writing professionally!!! :)
