Joe sat on the couch in the living room, staring at the blank tv in front of him. His eyes were red, from all that crying. Divorce?
Joe's POV
I'm here at the house, all alone and frustrated. I'm frustrated at myself. I always told Cyrinda I would never cheat on her and look at what I did. I feel so stupid and ashamed of myself. Heather, She looked so familiar like someone I had seen before. I just can't put my finger on it. I really want to know how she got Cyrinda email. Cyrinda doesn't give it out.
I don't know what to do. Yesterday, She called me. I was so happy to hear her voice. When I heard the word "divorce" my heart sank and I froze for a moment. I don't want to divorce. I love this woman so much, I don't want this marriage to end. I need to persuade her not to divorce me. She means a lot to me.

"It's going to be fine!" Joe said to Cyrinda.
"Not it's not! Your mom doesn't like me!"
"Yeah she does!"
"No she doesn't!" She mumbled. They were going to visit Joe's parents in Hopedale, Massachusetts. This was their second time visiting them. This time, They were staying the week there. His parents wanted to take them somewhere. It was a surprise. The first time they went to his parents house was for Joe to introduce them to her and to have dinner there.
"We're here!" Joe cheerfully said when he parked his car in their driveway.
"Yay" She said sarcastically. Things didn't go good between Cyrinda and Joe's mom at the last visit. She caught his mom glaring at her the entire time they were there.
"Should we take our stuff out or leave them?" She asked
"Nah, leave them. I'll take them out later" He replied as he stepped out of the car. She got out and followed him. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door. The door opened and Joe's mom immediately wrapped her arms around Joe.
"I missed you!" His mom said
"I missed you too mom" He said back
"Hi Mrs. Perry!" Cyrinda said
His mom smiled at her and told them to come inside.
"Where's dad?" Joe asked
"He left to the store a few minutes ago."
"Oh okay. I'm going to show Cyrinda the entire house okay?"
"Yeah that's fine" The mom walked off to the living room.
"I'll save the best for last" He said to Cyrinda quietly, almost in a whisper.
She giggled. He showed her the attic, basement, and where the bathrooms were.
He stopped in front of a closed door, put his hand on the knob and turned the knob and walked inside.
"This is my room" He said, flipping the light switch on. They walked inside the room.
His room was the biggest room in the house. The wall was covered in posters of the Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, and The Beatles. The door closed. She turned around and looked at him. He had a smirk on his face.
"No" She knew exactly what he was thinking.
"Please?"
"Your mom is in the house!" She whispered
"Yeah so?"
"Doing what you.. want me to do, is disrespectful!"
"Disrespectful? Come on!"
She sighed
"Please?"
"No"
"Please?"
"Fine but I'm not-" He cut her off by lightly pushing on the bed. He began kissing her and working his hand down her pants. He began rubbing her clit...
They were under the covers and the lights were off. His hands squeezed her hips as he moved in and out of her slowly. He'd pick up his pace but then slow back down.
"Oh god" She moaned when he picked up his pace. Her hands were placed on the back of his neck.
Then they got distracted by someone knocking on his door.
"Joe? Are you okay? I haven't heard a peep out of you for a while!" It was his mom and before Joe could answer back, she walked inside. She opened the door wide open. The light in the hallway covered most of Joes' dark room.
"Oh my god" Cyrinda quickly said and used Joe as a shield.
"Mom!" Joe angrily said and pulled the blanket over him and Cyrinda.
"Joe!" His mom said surprised
"Mom please leave"
The door closed. The room became dark.
He pulled out and said in embarrassment "Well, I'm not turned on anymore."
"Yeah neither am I" She said in a hushed tone.
"So uh... yeah" He felt his face turn red.
He got out of the bed and flipped the light switch on.
He got to the side of the bed and got her clothes first. He handed them to her and he got his own clothes. They dressed in their clothes without saying anything. After they finished dressing, Joe fixed his bed.
"What now?" She asked
"I don't know, I don't want to go out there."
"Neither do I." She answered back. Then the room became silent.
They heard the front door open and close, followed by a man saying in a loud cheerful voice "All right lets party!"
They laughed when they heard that. It was Joe's dad. He was always in a happy mood.
"Where is everybody?... What?... Oh... Okay" Then they heard someone walk down the hall. The door knocked twice and then the door opened. Joe's dad walked inside the room.
"Hey you guys dinner is ready" He said, winked at them and then left the room.
Joe and Cyrinda stood in the room for a minute.
"Hey" Joe said to Cyrinda
"Huh?" She looked at him
"I love you" He said and smiled at her. He always told her that. It's true, He did love her. He still does.
"I love you too" She gave him a quick kiss and pulled away. He brought her back closer and wrapped his arms around her. He looked into her eyes and gave her a slow passionate kiss.
"What was that?" She said after the kiss.
He shrugged and nervously laughed.
"You're so silly" She laughed "Come on lets go."
He watched her walk out of the room. He turned off the light in his room and walked after her.

Joe's POV
I remember that day. It was so awkward during dinner but then my dad started telling jokes. I think that was the last time I spent the week at my parents. When I think about it now, I find it hilarious but back then I didn't find it so funny.
The house is quiet. The phone hadn't rang all day. I sighed and got up from the couch. I'm going to go take a shower. I feel... dirty...
