Chapter 11- Thanks for all your positive feedback! I am enjoying reading your stories too!
Eva dreamt of Mr. Way that night- the teacher, not the rock star and she knew it was dangerous territory, but she didn’t care. She pictured his smile when they spoke, and how his accent was so thick against everyone else’s. She even went over the storeroom scene replacing the anger with lust and sexual tension. Her mind was the only place she couldn’t be interrupted. Unfortunately, reality could take over and she understood that it was impossible for that to happen. Not only was he a rock star, but he was also her teacher.
Eva’s parents were arguing again because her step father was going on a business trip to L.A and her mother wanted to go with him to see what he did over there. After much arguing it was decided that Eva would have to spend three weeks on her own while both headed overseas. It was a built trust that she had earned with her parents. They were to be leaving on Tuesday morning and Eva would be sure to miss her mother. She wasn’t to tell many people, but Eva could now be free for once without the hassle of her parents behind her.
The rest of the weekend passed normally. Eva spent most of Sunday morning reading up on Gerard Way a bit more to find that his disappearance had caused a stir. There was no news on the band website and there were heaps of fans wondering what had happened. Eva felt bad, not for the fans, but for Mr. Way. He had obviously left a lot behind.
Monday morning came and Eva was back at school with a smile on her face. Liza had kept asking about the weekend, getting bitter when Eva answered she had a good time but not letting out any details.
“You never have a good time on the weekend, you always just say it’s normal- what happened?” demanded Liza.
“Nothing! I swear. It was just good to get out of the house. Which reminds me... what are you doing this week?” replied Eva.
“Nothing,” said Liza.
“Do you want to come over on Tuesday night?” said Eva.
“Is that you inviting me to your house?” said Liza.
“Nup, it’s me just asking for no reason,” said Eva. They both laughed.

When Tuesday morning came, Karen gave Eva a huge kiss on the cheek before she left for school. After a few last minute lectures Eva was free to leave.
Liza and Eva discussed their night on the bus and Liza demanded that Eva cook rather than they go out because she had heard that Eva had a way with food. When they got to school they saw Mr. Way walking in the distance and he waved at both of them prompting Eva to give an embarrassed smile.
“He always looks at me every time I see him,” said Liza excitedly. “Like you know that look guys give when they want to see a girl?”
“No, I don’t know what look but it sounds cool,” laughed Eva, the comment kind of hitting a nerve.
When Legal studies came Eva almost hurried to class like she couldn’t wait to see Mr. Way. It was pathetic she was acting this way but she couldn’t help it. He was in his class standing there handsome as usual and Eva had to shake the thought from her mind. It was just like her to get obsessed when someone gave her the least bit of attention.
“Before we get into this lesson, I want to let you know about an excursion coming up that would be very interesting. It is a camp in Australia’s parliamentary state- Canberra and for three days you will explore parliament house. It is in two weeks, which makes it late notice, but it would be extremely useful for you to go,” he said handing out the permission notes. Eva looked down at hers and read over the details. It would mean a five hour bus trip getting there alone with people she didn’t really like. They would be staying in a hotel and would be visiting parliament house and watching a few debates.
“Canberra is a hole Sir, there is nothing to do there and it’s always cold,” whined Nick.
“You don’t have to come Nick,” said Mr. Way bluntly.
The lesson continued at its usual pace, with Mr Way going through various aspects of the law. He was so intelligent and it made Eva stare in awe. She didn’t want the lesson to end but unfortunately it had too. Eva was sure to notice the small smile Mr. Way gave when she was walking out the door.
“Shake it out of you head, Eva- you don’t need a man” she thought.

Eva headed home to begin preparing for Liza’s stay. She spent a short time preparing bruchetta mix and toasting breads as well as preparing ravioli and sauce along with some garlic pizzas. She even had some time to toss together a couple of salads and prepare some chocolate mousse. By the time everything had been finished and set, Liza had knocked on the door. Nothing ever happened on time, but today everything seemed to be prepared right to the dot.
“Come in!” said Eva hugging Liza and taking her bag.
“Oh my God, what is that awesome smell?” asked Liza.
“You’re just in time...” said Eva humbly.
The girls ate and discussed school and life and eventually resorted to chatting on the couch cuddled up in blankets.
“I have something to tell you, but you can’t get mad,” said Liza a smug look on her face. Eva’s heart leapt.
“Ok, tell me,” said Eva hiding any form of worry on her face.
“I think Mr. Way likes me,” said Liza smiling so hard.
“What? Explain...” said Eva still trying to show a look of happiness on her face when in reality her heart had been shot.
“I don’t know, he just always talks to me all the time and says I’m good at art and texts me...” she continued getting lost in her words.
“He texts you?” said Eva.
“Yeah! All the time, but I can’t tell you what he says cause then you’ll get creeped out.” Continued Liza.
Eva felt more depressed than creeped out.

When Liza had fallen asleep Eva did something she couldn’t forgive herself for. She went through Liza’s phone. Sure enough, Liza was not bluffing. There was an inbox full of texts from “Gee”. Eva shook her head, part jealous, part worried.
The first text in the inbox read “Me too, but it’s best we stop.”
As she read through all of them there were about half a dozen sent to each other this night.
Liza: I’m at Eva’s right now LOL.
G: Oh. Are you having fun?
Liza: I guess, she makes a nice spread. She just talks too much about aliens and the future. What are you doing?
G. Marking your art essay. Let me guess, did she do it for you again?
Liza: You’ll probably be able to tell from whether it’s good or not. I hope you aren’t mad...
G: I can’t stay mad at you. It is rather good, I have to admit. Does she know we text?
Liza: You told me not to tell anyone. She’d probably cry if I told her.
G: Why?
Liza: When does she not cry? Probably some weird obsession she has with you. She can be annoying.
G: Don’t tell her, she’ll get the wrong idea.
Liza: Pfft. If she says anything I’ll just throw it in her face that she has other teacher’s numbers.
G. Well, I did only give you this number solely for texting me when you were having trouble with your essay. That was before I found out you weren’t doing them.
Liza: I like talking to you.
G. Me too, but it’s best we stop.
Liza: Why?
The messages had stopped there. It was at that point Liza’s phone started vibrating. Eva turned ninja and quickly put the phone back and jumped in bed. She could not sleep but forced herself too. She felt Liza by her side slowly wake up, look to see if Eva was sleeping and reach for her phone. It would be a long night.
