Its going to be real interesting to see how the world react to find not find that Dumbledore wasn't as light as others thought. The pure-blood key players will be starting to find ways to stay on top while turing the other cheek.I do hope that Draco does find his own way in life without the bad influenaces in llfe.YOU DON’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ASK FOR

Very nice. Wonder if he gave them enough of a push. Most people tend toward inertia. ;)

Blinks...... Dr T, as always you've provided an excellent story! I loved that scene with Harry and Ragnok; that was one of the nastiest colaborations I'd even seen!(grin) Ah well, Dumbles should be happy in the afterlife; Voldy's gone and he'll get some if not all of the credit. He might be worried about the speculation about what he and Snape were doing in the dungeon with Voldy but a litle dirt keeps people interested. As for Snape.....well he would have tripped up at some point anyway and he's not a great loss. Draco might miss him, but few others. Then again Draco might be joining him in the very near future! It's not suprising that Hermione figured out Harry's involvement with Dumbles death, and I'm glad that she was able to understand why Harry felt that it was necessary. It's also good that he was able to tell her the entire story. Bye the way, nice ending for Rita! Has anyone missed her yet? Thanks for the chapter! :)Author's response
Well, people will wonder why Snape and Dumbles had to be naked for whatever they were supposed to be doing, which will bring up a lot of rumors about the flamboyant wizard. . . . As for rita, for some reason if any is missing her, no one really looks for her!YOU DON’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ASK FOR

Another great update. I really enjoyed the way Dumbles, Snape, and Riddle died. It was very appropriate. Also going to the goblins about the last Horcrux was much simpler than what JK came up with.YOU DON’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ASK FOR

I wonder if APBWD would have put more effort into getting at the
Hufflepuff cup if he realized that his alacrity was his
self-judgment of worthiness of the oxygen he consumed?
I also wonder if Harry and the Goblins had and used any sure
means of detecting whether Voldemort was most sincerely dead
rather than merely mostly dead. Or was that what the ritual
working was for -- arranging for an honor guard to accompany
him?
I also wonder if Gellert Grindelwald will notice that Dumbledore
no longer puts in conjugal visits at Nurmengard.
Hermione isn't exactly 'bathed in Light' herself if she
understands the need for APBWD's termination-with-prejudice just
on seeing the likely alternative from the alternative history.
Harry's snark about Paths of Light aside, it looks like she's
more apt to join him on the Paths of the Just. That bodes well
for a lifelong partnership, and the world at large.
This tale continues to entertain and surprise. Pray continue.

Gellert will miss the visits, but will giggle everytime he thinks of Dumbles and Snape dead and naked togetherYOU DON’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ASK FOR

I'm certain the news will definitely give Geller the chuckles and giggles. I do like this way of tying up loose ends; it's certainly tidy and makes certain that Dumbles' and Snape's reputations receive the proper accolades they deserve. Meanwhile, now that Voldie is no longer anchored, do they kill him immediately or let him choose the site of his demise?Author's response
The folks at the Dept of Mysteries weren't sure if Voldie was in that construct or not (they knew from Pettigrew he was in one, but can't prove he was in this one). We know, however, that he was. So, with all horcruxes gone, killing the construct sent the last piece of Voldie to that waiting room/gateway to the 'next great adventure', along with a shocked (and naked) Dumbledore, and a reluctantly admiring (and naked) Snape. When no sign of voldie is ever seen, even the most paranoid come to accept that he is most sincerely dead. And he is in this version of the PotterverseYOU DON’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ASK FOR

Nice chapter, kind of left you wondering how the whole scene got set up but oh well. Guess Dumbledore should have acted a little faster if he wished to live.
