"Things Much Worse Than Death"

You know, there are some revenges that are sweet, others that are bloody and some that are so, so sweet. This is one of the sweetest of them all - to force Voldemort and Bella to spend the rest of their existances as the one thing they hate the most - Muggles - and to spend the rest of their lives having to suck up to Muggles to survive. Oh, the humour of fate.
You managed to get Bella's character just right. As for Tom... yeah, he would be a butt-kisser if he couldn't be king. It is just so typical for the playground bully personality.
Well Done!

Thanks for the review, BenRG. I laughed A LOT while I wrote this. I kinda think that merely killing these two would only give short term satisfaction. This is the gift that keeps on giving…

This is innovative and clever. Occasionally one hears of someone forcing a Death Eater to "live as a muggle", but you've gotten the day-to-day humiliation that it would really mean.Author's response

This was a really quick, well thought out, got the joke, story for a good laugh. Can't you just see Bella spinning some red-neck around, trying to put one of those smiley face stickers on his Nascar t-shirt? HE!HE!HE!Author's response
Thanks. I really LOVE torturing Bella!"Things Much Worse Than Death"

Oh, if only the series would have a fluffy but evil ending like this! I hae friends who work at Wal-Mart, one as a cartpusher, so... oh, man, that's amazingly evil. I especially love how Tom is all into it. That's hilarious! And the poodle bit at the end is a nice touch.Author's response
Death is amazingly short-sighted as a punishment, I think. A minimum wage slave in the clutches of Wal-Mart is much worse, IMO. And of couse Tom would love it. He recognizes an evil empire when he sees it, and in his twisted mind it's only a matter of time before he rules it. (He reminds me of the Brain, with Bella as his psycho, totally not funny Pinky.)
Sadly, I think he's totally outclassed at evil by corporate America. But until you've worked in retail, you might not apreciate that fact."Things Much Worse Than Death"

Thank you. That was a great start to a monday morning. Bella as the queen of Tommys double wide. I can see them in 20 years. 3 cars in the yard Tommy in a wife beater out in the yard cussing at the lawnmower and Bella, pregnant again, in a beehive and a moomoo"Things Much Worse Than Death"

LOL! I actually live in South Florida, and I am never going to be able to look at the greeters at my local WalMart the same way again! I wonder, what is it about WalMart and the Dark Arts that makes them go hand-in-hand? For example, one of my goals in life is to get a temporary Dark Mark, wear a t-shirt, and walk around WalMart. And then this story. Hmm. WalMart must be run by an unconvicted Death Eater.
