As William played with Frank's hair, the newly-acquired Dandy purred at his side, earning a please smile from his Master. "I'm so glad you took me in," Frank said as he turned his olive green eyes up to look at William,.

"You were too beautiful to allow Tom to let you go to waste as some pathetic errand," William replied as Frank laid his head on his Master's leg, giving him better access to his hair. "You were being under-appreciated, and you deserved so much more."

"Only you could ever fully appreciate me Master," Frank said as he smiled up at William, his eyes showing the love and devotion he felt for his new owner.

"That's right my love," William purred in Frank's mind. "You were so eager to join the life and leave your old one behind... To kill for your Master. Such a rare quality." William paused his actions of playing with Frank's hair to trace a finger along his jaw line, smiling when his new pet moved his head with the finger like a car being petted.

"Master William..."

William looked up from Frank's little pleased grin, to see his other newly acquired Dandy, Tyler standing in the doorway of the library he had currently settled in. "Yes?"

"Aubrey Cyprus is at the door, waiting to be let in," Tyler answered to explain his interruption. "he says you and him have an arrangement to discuss?"

William gave a nod. "Send him in, Tyler, I have been waiting for him to arrive." He looked down to Frank as Tyler left the room. "Do you wish to stay, or leave, while I speak with Aubrey?"

"I'll stay Master," Frank replied as he shifted his body so that it was no longer by William's side, but instead between his legs, and seated in a position that would allow him to watch the interaction that was about to take place.

"I'm going to need you to speak for me, love, since he will not connect his mind to mine, even for communication..."

Frank leaned his head back and smiled upside down at his Master, who gave an amused look and ran his fingers through his pet's hair. "Anything for you, Master William." He brought his head back up as William looked to the doorway and gave a nod to the person that had just walked in. Frank took in the appearance of the male, who had just walked in with a dog by his side, without a leash, or even a collar. "My Master would like me to greet you to his home," Frank said, addressing Aubrey at his Master's mental command.

Aubrey looked at Frank and raised a brow at the Dandy, which was unfamiliar to him, before he shifted his eyes to William, who was eyeing the dog at his side with a curious expression. "Have you actually kept your word of my pet's safety this time, William?" Aubrey questioned, getting William's attention.

"He says that he has indeed taken care of your pet," Frank replied for William as he smiled at the dog that came over and nudged his knee with her snout. "He is in the cells below the mansion, awaiting you. If you'd like you may go retrieve him yourself, or he can send someone to do it for you?" He pet the dog's head and looked to Aubrey.

"Actually, before I retrieve Sabine, I would like to ask William what he plans to do now that he has defeated his enemies?" Aubrey said as he looked at William as the dog to sit by his feet and took up staring at William.

Frank looked back at his Master before he looked to Aubrey. "Why do you want to know?"

Aubrey gave a nonchalant shrug. "Call it curiosity," he answered as refused to look at Frank. "I've had to put up with his games this long, he could at least satisfy my curiosity."

"He says he will answer your question, if you answer his question. He wants to know who the dog is. Apparently your pets and fighters can shape shift so he feels as if you've brought unnecessary protection," Frank said as he let his eyes wander to the dog, wondering if the dog was indeed a vampire. He watched with wide eyes as the dog did indeed shift before his eyes, and in the dog's place now stood a female vampire that oozed power that tickled his skin. He quickly rose to his feet and took a protective stance in front of his Master and bared his fangs at Aubrey. "Who is she!?"

"Calm yourself, young one." Valencia spoke as her eyes moved to William, who stared at her with wide eyes that were full of recognition. "Hello, William," she said with a small smile at her old pet before she looked to Frank, who was looking at her with pure confusion, and offered him the same small smile. "In no way am I a threat to William, I merely wish to speak with him." She looked to William. "Have you blocked me from you?" She questioned, smiling when he slowly shook his head. "I have no blocked you either, please speak with me instead of having your pet speak for you..."

"Yes, Mistress..." He replied with a nod of his head.

"It is good to see that you're still alive after all this time of me letting you go," she said as she motioned for him to sit back down as she herself took a seat near him.

William nodded slowly as he allowed Frank to move to sit on his lap, sitting sideways so not to block his Master's view of the woman. "It's good to see that you've still managed to survive," he replied. "But I have to wonder, to what do I owe the pleasure of your surprise visit?"

"Well, it appears that your activities have reached outside of what you might have known," Valencia answered as she studied the pair. She glanced at Aubrey. "Would you mind?" She questioned, her eyes begging him to adhere to her wishes. "You could use this time to go collect your lover..."

Aubrey nodded with a grim expression, and sent a soft mental apology to his old friend, before he left the room with Tyler who had appeared at a request from William.

William looked to his old Mistress once Aubrey was gone and frowned a little. "What do you mean?"

Valencia brushed a stray lock of hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear as she looked from the place once occupied by Aubrey, to William and Frank. "Do you remember the story I told you, shortly after I took you in, about those who believe they can rule all of the vampires?" She questioned, earning a short nod from William. "Somehow word of what all you've done since you left my home got back to them and they sent me to fix the mistake of letting you go."

"You mean, to make me your pet again?" He questioned, all politeness gone from his tone, replaced with a bitter resentment. "I have to warn you Valencia, I will not return to your control."

Valencia straightened her spine as she regarded her old pet. "William, I have been alive for longer than the recoded history," she spoke, her voice hard and cold. "I have seen many empires rise and fall, cultures appear and disappear, and different changes in the way this planet looks... Do not presume that you can speak to me that way, just because you are no longer my pet. I am not a threat to you now, nor did I intend to be. So, drop the sudden change in attitude before I make you a sniveling imbecile who doesn't even know left from right, up from down, or black from white."

[Author's Note: I really do like the image I painted for Frank and William, both just as blood-lusty as the other, and seriously, how old have I made that damn woman? Lol I don't even know and I made her! Well, Holly helped make her. She came up with the last name Rose and I named her Valencia and she wanted to name her Victoria... But she helped me pick how she would act and whatnot. So... how far is William really going to push his luck with Valencia? Guess you'll have to read on to find out =) Two updates left!!!]
