Oh, wow. That was all kinds of heart-breaking but it was really touching at the same time. The only thing I really feel after reading this is the touching power of love that is carried through all of the books. Really well done.You Should Have Known

I can very much see the canon Harry doing this. There was no bitterness in him, although he was uncared for by the Dursleys, he would still not want anything bad to happen to them.
His parting gift to Petunia is very much in his style as well, something to help her in her future, but at the same time a 'slap in the face' to her. 'I will help you and remind you that I am a better person than you.'

When I've read the summary I hoped Harry will finally grow a backbone, take a page from Tom Riddle's book and show Dursleys exactly why you don't abuse a magical child. But I guess he'll never be able to get over Dumbledore's 'forgive and forget' brainwashing.You Should Have Known
