The night had just began; the trees were blowing along with the wind as if the trees were dancing along. I look out the car window up towards the stars, I always hated doing this it wasn’t right. I look up towards the front to see my parents, they were happy in love so maybe this wasn’t bad after all. But no matter how hard I told myself I couldn’t rid of that bad feeling, I lay my head on the door hoping I would feel asleep.


Sleep never came to me I still had my eyes closed in hoping if my parents saw I was asleep, we would leave. I felt the car stop I knew right then we ere here. My heart was beating out of my chest I wanted this night to be over with.

“Come on sweetie I know your not asleep, “I heard my mom say.

I open my eyes to see my mom smiling; I couldn’t see how she was smiling.

“I’m scared what if he doesn’t like me, I said while looking at her.

“Honey you’ve been waiting for this moment, don’t be afraid he will like you. You’re almost ten it’s time, “My dad said.

“It’s hard not be scared, I just want him to like me, “I whisper.

“I promise you sweetie he will like you. Your almost a women, it’s now or never, ‘my mom said.

I was hoping for never but I knew my parents wouldn’t let that happen, I knew once I got this over it I would be much happier. This was going to be my first time, I was scared out of my mind; I wonder if anyone else has ever been scared.

“Are you ready honey? “ My dad ask.

“Ready as I’ll ever be, “I replied a nerves smile.

“I love you sweetie, ‘my mom said while looking at me.

“Love you too mom, “I said.

We all got out of the car, in that house would be my future husband.
