Melody's POV
It's been three weeks since Greyson and I had our fight. He apologized but we've still been drifting further apart. He is usually here at least once a day but he has been visiting less and less as the weeks drag on. We hardly even talk or text anymore. In truth, it's probably more my fault than his. I have been pushing him away. My guilt has done nothing but eat away at me both mentally and physically lately. I barely go out. Hell, I barely leave my room. My parents haven't noticed since they constantly work and Alyson is always with Ryan. Even Benji has been absent from my life these past few weeks. He has been spending most of his time with Zac. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for both of them but I do miss my best friend.
I lay on my bed wallowing in my own misery when my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey sexy!"
"Hey Benji."
"You sound happy." he snorted.
"Yeah, yeah. What's up?"
"Come shopping with me and Zac."
"Eh, I don't know."
"Please Mel? You need to get out of the house. Have a little fun."
"Fine. Okay. I'll meet you there in an hour."
"Yay!"
"Bye Benji."
"Holla Mel!"
I groaned as I slid from my bed and went to my closet. I really didn't want to do this but I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans, an old band tee, a hoodie, and a pair of shoes. I dressed, did my hair and makeup then left. I drove straight to the mall and met Zac and Benji at the food court.
"Hey Mel. I've missed you. Thanks for coming."
"Of course Benji. I've missed you too." I smiled my first genuine smile in weeks then hugged him.
"Hey Melody." Zac waved.
"Hi Zac." I waved back.
"Okay. So, I found this awesome department store on the second floor. We should check it out." Benji gushed as he linked arms with both Zac and I, dragging us to the store. I have to admit the store was amazing. My mood even lightened somewhat.
"Oh my god! Look how cute this skirt is. Mel, you have to try this on!" Benji squealed.
"This shirt would go perfectly." Zac grinned.
I took the items from them and walked to the dressing rooms. I changed then emerged from behind the curtain to look in the mirror. I have to admit it was cute. Both of them have great taste in clothes. The mini-skirt was black with rips in it. It had a hot pink skull on the right lower corner. The shirt was hot pink with a black skull on the lower left corner. It had rips down the sides.
"You look fucking hot!" Benji shrieked and Zac nodded.
"Thanks guys."
"Oh and these shoes are perfect." Zac grinned, holding out a pair of pink and black heels.
After I bought the outfit we went back to the food court to grab something to eat. I was starving.
"Damn. I want pizza." I practically drooled when the smell hit my nose.
"Pizza it is then." Benji smiled.
We grabbed some pizza and sat down to eat. I devoured mine in no time.
"Dude, I gotta pee. I'll be right back."
I went to the restroom but it wasn't to pee. I felt nauseous and before I could say 'pizza' my lunch was meeting the toilet.
'Great. Now I'm getting sick. This is just my fucking luck.' I thought to myself.
I rinsed the vomit taste from my mouth and splashed my face with water. I hoped I wasn't getting the flu. I strode back to the table and slumped into my seat.
"You okay Mel?"
"Yeah. My food just didn't agree with my stomach."
"You look a little pale. Are you sure you're feeling okay?"
"I'm fine Benji."
After they finished their food they dragged me around the mall some more.
"You know what we should do?" Benji questioned.
"What?"
"We should go to the Lava Club tonight."
"Yeah. We should." Zac agreed.
"I don't know."
"Come on Mel. Please?" Benji pouted at me and Zac mimicked him.
"Damn. Okay. Just stop giving me those damn puppy dog eyes."
They both cheered, jumping up and down like five year olds. I laughed.
"Let's go back to my house and get ready since it's the closest." Zac offered.
"Sounds good to me." I agreed.
I followed Benji back to Zac's house. I pulled into the drive, got out, and followed them inside. We went up to Zac's room and got ready. I slipped on the new outfit I had bought at the mall earlier. I borrowed Zac's straightener and straightened my hair. I let Benji do my eyes in red and black shadow then we left. We pulled up to the club, flashed our fake ids and went in.
"Good thing I got that fake id for you last week, Zac."
"I know. This place is amazing." Zac looked around in awe.
"First time here?" I questioned him.
"Yeah." he blushed.
"Let's get our asses on the dance floor!" Benji squealed and pulled us to the middle of the floor. We danced for hours. I danced until my whole body ached.
"I need to sit!" I shouted at Benji over the loud music.
"Me too!" Zac agreed. We pushed our way through the crowd to an empty table.
"I'm having so much fun. Thanks for making me leave my room."
"Of course. You know I love you." Benji grinned.
Suddenly, I felt nauseous again. "I don't feel so well."
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know."
My stomach churned and I bolted for the restroom. I found myself hovering over a toilet for the second time today. I felt my hair pushed aside and heard a familiar voice.
"Mel, are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah. I think I might have the stomach flu." I groaned.
"Mel, you don't think you could be pregnant, do you?"
"What?! Hell no! No way! Don't ever say that again!"
"Okay, okay. Calm down."
Benji helped me clean up and then took me home. I crawled into bed but couldn't sleep. My head was buzzing with a thousand different thoughts.
'There is no way I could be pregnant. No fucking way!' I thought to myself.
I would just make a doctor's appointment and clear this whole mess up.
