“What are you doing here?” she asked,

Gerard looked at her, his eyes looked at hers with intent
“Where have you been?” he asked,

Emily shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes
“You need to leave Gerard” she said softly,

Gerard shook his head as he pushed through Emily and walked inside
“I am not going anywhere until you tell me what the fuck is going on” he said raising his voice, Mikey moved over to him and grabbed his shoulders

“Gerard, please be quiet” she said softly, Gerard pushed his brother off him
“You left me, you left everyone and yet I am not allowed to get my point across” he said with anger as it shook through his body

“You gave me no choice Gerard, You pushed me away” she said with a stern voice, Gerard laughed
“All because I didn’t say I love you” he replied, Emily flinched
“The past is over with now Gerard, I don’t what to see you again, just leave” she said, Gerard shook his head

“Not until you tell me what is going on Emily” he said, Emily sighed as she heard a scream from up stairs

“Thank you very much Gerard” she snapped as she stormed up stairs, Mikey looked at Gerard and sighed as he sat back down

“Mikey what the fuck” he said still staring at the staircase, Mikey ran his fingers through his hair

“look Gee, I think you might need to talk to Emily some more, this is really serious” he said, Gerard turned and looked at his brother
“Is Emily okay? Is she sick?” he asked, Mikey shook his head
“She isn’t sick but she is not okay at all” he replied, Gerard tensed up as he heard footsteps, Gerard sat down and looked at the stairs

“It’s all good” she said softly as she reached the bottom step, Mikey looked up
“I think I should get going, Alicia is going to kill me if I don’t spend more time with her” he said standing up, Emily nodded

“Thanks for coming over and listening, We should catch up soon” she replied, Mikey nodded and left himself out as Gerard sat there waiting for some time to ask the three hundred questions he had built up in his head

“We need to talk Emily” said Gerard softly, Emily felt a tear slide down her cheek and nodded
“We do” she replied

“Is the child mine?” he asked his eyes not moving from hers,

Emily took and deep breath and nodded, Gerard froze and tried to breath
“Is it a boy or girl?” he asked, Emily smiled as she thought of Zach

“Zach is a boy” she replied, Gerard looked up
“You name him Zach?” he said, Emily nodded

“I knew it was a name we both liked, Zach Gerard Black” she said, Gerard stiffened
“Why not my last name?” he asked, Emily shrugged

“Because you were not here and I dealt with this on my own” she replied as she sat down next to Gerard, he moved so he could see her better

“You must really hate me to not contact me about this” he said in a barely whispered voice, Emily stiffened

“I don’t hate you Gerard, I just didn’t know what to do” she said, Gerard looked up and stared at her

“Didn’t know what to do, I have a son in which I don’t know at all and you were worried because you didn’t know what to do” he said with venom in his voice, Emily flinched as she grabbed her hands

“I was alone Gerard, I was extremely sick and I was worried, what else did you want from me?” she asked, Gerard frowned

“You were sick?” he asked, Emily nodded
“Extremely, lucky Ben was so good to me, always let me have breaks” she said softly
Gerard sighed and ran his hands through his hair
“It doesn’t matter now we need to be there for our son” he said, Emily looked up and shook her head

“You have your own life Gerard, Zach is perfectly fine without you” she said, Gerard shook his head

“He needs a father and I intend to be there for him, I am his father and he will have the best of everything, something we both couldn’t get” he said standing up, Emily frowned
“Money cannot buy everything” she said, Gerard turned and looked at her
“You don’t think I don’t know that, but it helps, it will help him become successful in his life” he said

Emily stood up her eyes intent on his

“This isn’t going to work, we can sort out some kind of visiting agreement” she said, Gerard stiffened
“I am not going to be a part time father, we will both live together so I get to see him all the time” he snapped, Emily gasped

“No Gerard, Your never home, it won’t work” she said, Gerard shook his head
“It’s going to work, I am not taking no for a answer Emily” he said as he fixed his jacket
“My mother is having a dinner tomorrow night, you will come and bring Zach, he needs to meet his family” he said, Emily frowned

“I really don’t think this is a good idea” she said, Gerard grabbed her arm
“It is a good idea, just come, if not for me but for mum, she would love to see her grandchild” he said, Emily didn’t have any other option

“Fine” she snapped, Gerard smiled as he pulled Emily into a hug
“You’re so beautiful” he whispered, Emily froze

“No Gerard, You may want us to be this happy family, but it won’t work and the sooner you see that, the better our lives will be” she said, Gerard smirked and shrugged
“See you tomorrow, say four o’clock” he said, Emily nodded as Gerard kissed her cheek and walked out the door

“Tomorrow Emily, you better be there” he said as he closed the door, Emily sighed as she locked the door, she turned off the lights and walked up stairs, Emily checked on Zach and the retreated to bed for the night as she tried to sleep.
