Emily and Gerard heard a gasp which made them turn around to see Donna standing in the doorway

“I was just calling out for dinner” she said as Donna turned and walk back inside the house, Emily looked up at Donna and smiled, after all this Donna was still there for them even with their differences on each other

“What’s your answer?” he asked, Emily shook her head

“My answer is No” she said as Emily took a few steps to the house, Gerard grabbed her arm

“It’s the only option without going to court” he said, Emily took a deep breath

“What makes you think that you would win?” she snapped, Gerard looked at her intently

“Because I have plenty of money and I can afford the best” he said, Emily shook her head

“Please don’t do this” she said, Gerard smiled

“I will unless you marry me” he said, Emily felt the tears slide down her cheeks

“That’s not fair” she snapped, Gerard smirked

“Life isn’t fair sweetness” he replied, Emily raised her hand and went to slap Gerard as he caught her hand quickly

“I wouldn’t do that if I was you” he said, Emily froze as Gerard placed her hand down her side

“Your leaving me with no choice” she said softly, Gerard sighed

“I’m getting bored, either you say yes or I will contact my lawyer” he said, Emily took a breath

“Looks like I have no choice but accept your offer” she said quietly, Gerard grinned as he pulled Emily into a tight hug

“You won’t regret it” he said as Gerard took her hand and led her to the kitchen

“Everyone” said Gerard, Emily froze

“We are getting married” he said, Donna burst into tears as she hugged Emily and then Gerard, Frank came up to Emily and hugged her

“Talk later” whispered Emily, he nodded as he hugged Gerard, Gerard held her hand as Donna walked over with champagne, Emily smiled as she took a glass, Gerard shaking his head as Emily took a sip

“Everyone sit down and let’s have some dinner” said Donna as they sat down, Gerard sat down next to Emily and took her hand

“Look who is awake and wanting his mummy” said Mikey as he walked in, Zach smiled when he saw his mum

“Mummy” he said as Emily took her son as Donna sat down

“Please enjoy everyone” she said, everyone smiled and made small chit chat as Emily gave Zach some chicken, Gerard leaned over and kissed Emily on the cheek, Emily tensed but forced a smile when Donna looked their way

“Aww such a beautiful family” she commented, Gerard smiled

“I am very lucky” he said, Franked looked at Emily and saw the mask she placed so she wouldn’t look as bad as she felt.

After dinner Emily sat in the lounge room with Zach, he was gently falling asleep on her chest as Gerard walked in

“All ready to go home?” he asked, Emily nodded as she carefully stood up, Donna walked in and gave everyone a hug a kiss on the cheek

“Take good care of them” said Donna to Gerard, Gerard smiled

“With my life mum ” he replied as he watched Emily put Zach in the back seat of his car, Gerard hugged his mother one last time as he climbed into his car, Emily looked at Gerard as he started the car, he smiled and gently touched her hand

“Let’s go home” he said, Emily froze

“You mean my place?” she asked, Gerard shook his head as he turned a corner

“We are getting married I expect you and my son to stay with me” he said, Emily just agreed

“I don’t care, I am so tired” she replied, Gerard pulled out a remote and pressed a code as he slowed down the car

“Come I have been busy setting up Zach’s room” he said softly when he stopped the car, Emily nodded as they got out, Emily picked up Zach who was asleep again, Gerard opened the house and let Emily and Zach walk in as he locked up

“Up the stairs” he said as he followed Emily as she walked up the stairs, Gerard opened a door and turned on a lamp

“This is Zach’s room” he said, Emily nodded as she walked in and gently placed Zach down on the bed, she gently kissed his forehead as Zach rolled over and snuggled into the pillows, Gerard stood next to Emily as he lent it and kissed his head

“Good night little man, sweet dreams” he said, Emily felt the tears fall down her cheek, what the hell was she doing, she prayed it was a night mare and would hopefully wake up any minute.

“Let’s go to bed” said Gerard as he yawned, Emily’s eyes shot opened

“I am not sleeping with you Gerard” she said as Gerard shut Zach’s door

“I am not in the mood to play these games Emily we are getting married, and I did say let’s go to bed to sleep” he said as he walked down the hallway, Emily sighed and followed Gerard as he opened the double doors at the end of the hallway, Emily walked inside and then stopped when Gerard took off his shirt

“I don’t have anything to wear” she said, Gerard looked up and walked over to the drawers, he pulled out a shirt


“Here you go, I am going to take a shower, goodnight” he said and walked through the walk in wardrobe to the bathroom, Emily looked around the room she heard the shower start as she stripped off her clothes and quickly put on the shirt, she climbed into the huge bed and closed her eyes,
