Emily heard the shower stop and the door open as she laid there, her heart was beating so quickly she didn’t hear the bathroom door open, Gerard yawned as he opened the bed covers and slid into bed, his hands slowly found Emily’s as he pulled her closer to him, Emily remained silent and relaxed as she felt his tender lips touch her forehead

“Goodnight sweet heart, sweet dreams” he whispered Gerard’s breathing slowed down as he drifted to sleep, Emily cursed him for getting to sleep so quickly, she laid there Gerard’s arm holding her close to him, she looked over and saw his face, she gently pulled her hand free and cupped his cheek, gently feeling his soft skin, Emily sighed and closed her eyes

“Goodnight Gee” she whispered as she fell asleep after some time.


Gerard woke up to find his bed empty, he cursed as he quickly put on some pants and stormed out of the bedroom

“Emily where are you?” he asked quite loudly

“In the kitchen” came a reply, Gerard quickly walked down the stairs and turned into the kitchen, he froze when he saw Emily still wearing the shirt he gave her, Zach was up eating his breakfast as Emily kept cooking the French toast

“Hungry?” she asked as Emily turned around, Gerard couldn’t speak so he nodded, Emily smiled as she turned back around and put the French toast on a plate

“Well breakfast is ready” she said as she turned off the stove and picked up the plate taking it to the dining room, Gerard walked over and poured himself a cup of coffee, slowly looking around his surroundings

“Did you sleep well?” asked Emily as she looked at Zach, when he didn’t reply Emily turned around

“Everything okay Gerard, you’re very quiet?” she asked, Gerard nodded as he sat down next to Emily

“I did thank you, and how about yourself?” he asked, Emily smiled

“Very well thanks” she said as she poured some maple syrup over her French toast, Gerard smiled

“You never really got out of that habit did you” he said as he poured some honey over his, Emily smiled

“It’s how I like it best” she replied and then took a bite, Zach smiled as Emily gave him a small piece of the bread soaked in maple syrup

“You are a very hungry boy today” she said as Zach chomped away, Gerard smiled as he took a sip of his coffee

“He is a growing boy, plus I ate a lot when I was younger” he said, Emily laughed

“Ohhh I know that from previous experiences” she said, Gerard smirked as they finished their breakfast

“So what are you up too today?” asked Gerard, Emily shrugged

“I should be getting home, I have work tomorrow” she replied, Gerard froze

“This is your home” he said, Emily shook her head

“Are you asking me or telling me that you want me to move in?” she asked, Gerard looked up and stared at her

“I’m asking” he replied as he picked up his coffee and finished it, Emily nodded

“What if I say no to your invite?”She asked, Gerard frowned

“Then it we wouldn’t be a family after all” he said, Emily sighed

“Okay, we will stay but I need my clothes and Zach things” she said, Gerard nodded as he grabbed his phone, he stood up and walked out of the room, Emily looked at Zach

“Welcome home honey” she said as she picked him up and went to change them both


Gerard walked in on Emily putting on her jean and Zach playing on the bed

“I hired a truck, Frank and Mikey are going to help you” he said, Emily nodded

“What are you doing today?” she asked, Gerard smiled

“I have to go and do some things, when I’m done I will meet up with you guys” he replied,

“Okay” she said as she picked up Zach

“Can you take us back to the apartment then so I can start packing” she said, Gerard nodded as they left their house.

Gerard arrived when the truck was getting pack, Emily was nowhere to be seen as he climbed out of his car, he walked through the entrance and climbed up the stair

“Hello anyone” he called out, Emily poked her head out of her room, she saw Gerard and smiled

“Hey, I’m just finishing this box and then we are all done” she said as Gerard followed her into her room

“Where is Zach?” asked Gerard, Emily smiled more

“Frank went to shops to grab a drink, so he took Zach for a walk” she replied as she picked up a small bag and placed it in the box, Gerard touched her hand

“Come here?” he asked, Emily looked at him confused but nodded as she came closer to Gerard, he smiled as he gently kissed her lips, Emily tried to think of a reason why he was trying so much to make it work but she always had her doubts as Gerard gently parted

“What was that for?” she asked, Gerard smirked

“Do I need a reason my wife to be?” he asked, Emily blushed as Gerard smirked

“I guess not” she said as Gerard got down on his knee

“I know I am meant to do this romantically and all that but since I already asked you and you have said yes so this is just me doing it right” he said as Emily gasped, Gerard rummaged through his pocked and pulled out a ring

“Will you marry me? Will you be mine forever and will you let us become a proper family?” he asked, Emily took a deep breath

“Yes you know my answer is yes” she said, Gerard smiled more as he slid the ring on her finger, Emily went to admire the ring as Gerard took her hand and gently brushed his lips upon the ring


“Forever” he whispered which Emily didn’t hear
