Very nice premise, I can see a very good story coming of this.
HOWEVER, this chapter feels to me like you just info dumped 2 or 3 chapters worth of story into a single chapter. Heck there are several sections of this chapter that could be fleshed out into whole chapters.
Moving the story along is fine, but please, please don't rush it.Harry James Parker?
