Emma's POV:
After spending time with the newly married couple, we left them alone at Ellie and Franks house so they could spend some 'quality time' together. Frank was staying at my house that night. Dad was out with his friends again, he had been all week. We got into mine and decided to watch a movie together. I put dawn of the dead into the DVD player and snuggled up to Frank on the sofa. We watched it in silence for a while before Frank asked me a question.
"Emma, what's you dad like? I mean, he's never around, I just wondered...?" he said and trailed off.
"Hes an alcoholic. He spends all his time either out getting drunk, or passed out in his room. It started when my mum died. We knew she didn't have much time left, the cancer was spreading too fast, but after she'd gone, dad just spiraled downwards and never came back. I think sometimes he forgets he has a daughter. I just had to take care of myself for years" I said and realised I was starting to cry.
"Youve got me to look after you now though" He comforted and hugged me closer.
"But with this baby on the way, you being it's uncle, your not gonna end up... preocupied?" I asked him
"Emma, sure I'm gonna be an uncle to this baby, but you will always be my baby. And anyway, you'll pretty much be it's Auntie!" he said. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek.
"Im excited that they're having a baby,
They're just so damn cute!!! and it's our job as it's auntie and uncle to spoil it rotten... and make sure it doesn't turn into a justin bieber fan!!!" I joked and tickled him
"When we have kids I hop they look more like you than me" Frank mused out loud
"What?" I asked half laughing
"I hope our children look like you. I mean, you will make beautiful babies, we don't want my ugly mug getting anywhere in the mix!" He joked but I shifted myself so I was compleatly facing him
"Frankie, your not ugly!" I said
"Well I'm not exactly handsome am I?"
"Frankie, you are beautiful. Never forget that. Every inch of you is utter perfection" I told him. He blushed and looked extreamly cute. i decided to tell him how cute he looked which made him blush more.
Frank had gone up stairs to get something when he called me up. I ran into my room and found him sat next to my CD player.
"I was thinking the other day, we don't really have 'a song'. It was just an idea, if you don't like it we can find another one but..." he said pressed play.
The song filled my ears and I listened to the lyrics as it played out, finding the meaning ...
/Another turning point;
