Quite an interesting start, and a characterisation of Sybill Trelawney that I haven't seen before, complete with a rationale for her canon image. Well done.
This chapter is the pivot-point for the divergence from the canon timestream; the next will establish the vector of departure. We'll see then where you go from here. From what I see so far, I'm optimistic: clear writing style and natural handling of characters hints that some real thinking will go into this. Can't wait. I'm adding this one to my fetcher list right now.Let's Try That Again, Shall We?
