Melody's POV

When I woke up on Christmas morning I found Frank sleeping soundly beside me. He looked absolutely adorable curled onto his left side with one hand resting beneath his cheek and the other clutching my stomach protectively. His dark, shaggy hair fell over his eyes and his lips curled into a small smile.

I smiled to myself as I wiggled out of his grip and tiptoed toward the door. Ray and Gerard were lounging on the couch playing video games while Mikey and Chris stood in the kitchen sipping from their coffee-filled mugs.

"Good morning and Merry Christmas, guys."

"Merry Christmas, Mel." Mikey and Chris echoed.

"You guys need any help with breakfast?"

"Nah. We're almost done." Mikey answered.

"Is Frankie still sleeping?" Chris questioned.

"Yeah. Poor guy. I think he's exhausted."

"It was late when we got home last night and he didn't sleep too well while we were gone. I think he was too worried about something happening to you or the baby." Mikey frowned.

"I wish he wouldn't worry so much. It's not like I was alone. Gerard was here."

"Yeah. I know but since the.....the accident he has been super protective over you. I think it would kill him if anything ever happened to you or the baby."

"I know but I don't want him to worry himself to death over me or the baby. We're fine now."

"It doesn't matter what you say because he's going to do it anyway."

"Yeah. That's just the way Frankie is." Chris shrugged.

I shrugged back. "Should I go wake him up?"

"Yeah. Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes."

I nodded before making my way to Frank's room to wake him. I perched on the edge of the bed and gently shook him until he began to stir. His face scrunched up as he groaned and rolled over. His eyelids fluttered momentarily before revealing shimmering hazel orbs. He rubbed his tired eyes and shot me a lazy smile.

"Mmm....good morning."

"Merry Christmas, Frankie. How are you feeling?"

"Tired but otherwise I'm okay."

I sighed. "Frankie, I wish you wouldn't worry so much about me and the baby. You shouldn't be losing sleep over it."

He sighed heavily. "Mikey told you?" I nodded.

"I'm sorry. I just can't help it. I am terrified that something will happen when I am gone. That's what happened last time and I...I just....it terrifies me."

"Frankie, that wasn't your fault. It wouldn't have mattered if you had been here or not. It would have happened either way."

"No it wouldn't-"

"Frankie, just stop, please. Let's just go eat breakfast and open our presents."

"Okay."

Frank slid from the bed and followed me into the kitchen where Chris thrust a mug of coffee into his hands as we took our seats at the table.

"Fuck Mikey, this looks delicious!" I groaned as I glanced at my plate which held pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage.

"Thanks Mel." Mikey chuckled.

Once breakfast was over every one gathered around the living room to open presents. Ray began passing out the presents and I quickly made my way over to him.

"Ray, the four presents at the back that say Frankie are for last. Don't give them to him yet, okay?" I whispered.

"Okay." He smiled, knowing exactly what they were. In fact, everyone knew except Frank.

Once Ray had finished passing out the presents I had five small packages sitting before me.

"Okay, ready?" Chris questioned.

Everyone nodded and then began tearing into their presents. I opened the one from Mikey first. It held a gift certificate to a spa for the full spa treatment. I smiled to myself, thinking about how much I could really use a spa treatment. Next, I opened the present from Ray. I smiled when I saw it was a gift certificate for my favorite clothing store in the mall. I set that present aside and opened the one from Gerard. It contained a gift certificate to that awesome new salon in the mall. I was starting to see a reoccurring theme with their gifts. I opened the one from Chris which held a gift certificate to the world of shoes. Lastly, I opened the one from Frank. My eyes nearly bulged from their sockets and a weird mixture of a gasp and a squeal tumbled from my throat. I heard Frank chuckle and I launched myself into his arms, hugging him tightly.

"How did you know?"

"I called Benji and asked him who your favorite band is. He laughed and said we were so I asked him who your second favorite band is and he said Fall Out Boy."

"Thank you so much! I cannot believe you got me tickets to see Fall Out Boy!"

"It's no problem. They are friends of ours so it was easy."

I glanced down at the two tickets in my hands for next month and grinned widely.

"So, who's going with me?" I grinned.

"Whoever you want to take." Frank smiled.

"Hmm...will you go with me?" I questioned him.

"Of course. I would be happy to."

"Thanks." I hugged him. "So, how did I do with your presents?"

"We haven't opened them yet. We wanted to see the look on your face when you saw your presents." Gerard grinned.

"You guys are awesome. I love all of them but I want to see you open your presents now."

They laughed and began tearing into their presents from me.

"Mel, this is awesome." Mikey smiled and hugged me.

I had gotten him a new Iron Maiden hoodie with a matching beanie.

"Fuck yeah!" Gerard cheered and he too embraced me in a tight hug.

I had gotten Gerard a new faux leather jacket since his old one was getting a little ratty looking.

"Awe. Thanks Mel." Ray grinned, enveloping me in a hug.

I had gotten him a Pink Floyd guitar strap and a matching guitar pick.

"Fuck yes! I am so using these at our next gig." Chris screeched.

I had gotten him a customized set of black drumsticks that read 'Chris Motherfucking Green' and a matching shirt.

"Mel, these are amazing." Frank grinned and pulled me into a hug.

I had gotten him a pair of custom Misfits shoes and matching fingerless gloves.

"Okay Ray, give Frankie the rest of his presents."

"Wait, what?" Frank shot me a look of confusion as Ray set four neatly wrapped presents before him. "Mel, what is all of this?"

"Each one is labeled with a number. Open them in the number they are ordered."

He quirked an eyebrow at me. "What are-"

"Just do it." I ordered.

"Okay, okay."

I watched as he opened the first package and pulled out a baby bib which read 'I love my daddy'. He glanced at me with furrowed brows.

"Read the attached note." I smirked.

He retrieved the note and read it aloud.

"I do not have a face to see or put inside a frame. You cannot stroke or kiss my cheek. You have yet to call my name."

He gave me another look of confusion and I directed him to open the next present. He did so, pulling out a fifty dollar bill with another attached note.

"You cannot hold my tiny hands or count my tiny toes. You cannot tickle my belly or tweak my baby nose. Mel, I am so confused right now."

"Just keep going." I smiled.

He opened the next gift which held a red onsie with the word 'Ninja' on it.

"It's still too soon to sing to me or whisper in my ear. You cannot read to me a story or cuddle me so near."

This time he didn't question me as he opened the last package. He pulled out the enclosed shirt that read 'Father of a ninja'.

"But all will change this April. That's when they say I am due. I'm your new baby girl and I can't wait to meet you. Melody, I'm really....." He trailed off.

I watched as his face transformed from a look of confusion to one of realization.

"I-I....it-it's a g-girl?" He gasped.

"Yeah."

"Oh my god! Are you serious?!"

"Yes."

He pulled me into the circle of his arms and squeezed tight.y. I felt him kiss the top of my head and I smiled.

"I can't believe it. We're having a little girl."

He pulled back from our embrace and placed a hand lightly against my stomach. I could see the tears welling up in his eyes as he stared lovingly at my stomach where our baby lay safely nestled.

"Thank you." He murmured.

"For what, Frankie?"

"Giving me the best gift I could ever ask for."

"No Frankie, thank you. You gave me the best gift I could ever ask for." I smiled as I lay my hand over his on my stomach.

First and foremost, I am incredibly sorry for the lateness of this chapter. I really wanted to get this out sooner but certain circumstances would not allow that. I have been in and out of the hospital with my sister since January 3rd because her mother had an accident and is currently in ICU. I really hope this chapter isn't too shitty because it's been kind of hard to concentrate on writing new material with everything that is going on right now. I really hope I can get another update up within the next couple of days but I am not making any promises because I don't know when I will have to go back to the hospital with her. I am incredibly sorry guys.

The poem idea I got from google and I have no idea who made it up but I thought it was cute.
