Basically it's about a slightly neurotic girl who meets some pretty weird people, but are they just weird? Or is there something else?

The lesson smudged together in a blur and as I was walking out the door, Alex leant over my shoulder and put his mouth close to my ear. I was about to jerk away when he whispered two simple words,

"I know"

He gave a solemn looking face and walked off.

He knew? He knew wha-

My train of thoughts seemed to crash.

He knew.

A cold flush came over me. He couldn't mean-? Could he? I was about to follow him when a hand delicately tapped me on the shoulder. I spun around in confusion and my heart stopped.

Oscuro.

I must have looked like a scared rabbit as his face softened just a little.

I felt like I was a kite, flying high above the meadows... Ok a cheesy bit of my brain there for you...

I tilted my face down in embarrassment in been within a meter radius of him and careful he lifted my chin up to meet my eyes. Without given a chance to think he grabbed the back of my head and crushed his mouth to mine.

It was like my whole life had exploded but yet my mind was blank.

My arms hung lamely at my sides, not responding to my brain, meanwhile Oscuro kept pressing our mouths together as if the world depended on it.

My guilty conscience was screaming at me but I reduced it to less than a whisper as I concentrated my thoughts on Oscuro. His breath smelt of mint with maybe perhaps a hint of dirt' Odd combination.

I'm sure we were getting some funny looks, but I didn't care. Then, without warning, he pulled his face away and I was left gasping for air in a completely unattractive way. He smirked at me, seeming to be completely unfazed by this whole ordeal. It quickly disappeared as his eyes locked on something behind me. His face quickly returned to his more confident expression as I swiveled to face a very pissed off looking Alex.

Fast as lightening Alex shot forwards and shoved Oz up against the wall and practically spat, "Don't you ever dare touch her against her will!!" He looked him directly in the eyes and Oscuro seemed to squirm under his gaze. Alex cocked his head to the side and grinned, then spun and once again walked away.

Quite a crowd had formed around us and Oz, looking flustered, didn't want to seem the weaker male so he chased after Alex and leaped up to dive on his back but Alex was faster and turned and smashed Oz into the lockers mid jump.

How did he know th-?

My mind was cut off as Alex sprinted over to me, grabbed my hand and practically dragged me outside, into the open...

I struggled as I tried to fight free from his secure grip on my wrist. "Let go Alex!!!!" I shouted, trying to sound intimidating. He refused to answer as he pulled me across the slightly muddy field.

Oh great. Now my converse are muddy...

We reached the gate and he dropped me hand and started examining the lock.

I folded my arms and waited until he would give up.

The gate creaked open.

Alex looked over his shoulder, smiled and winked at me. My mouth hung agape in amazement. "Well? Are you coming or are you just gonna stand there looking pretty?" He taunted at me. Obediently I trudged after him; curiosity had seemed to take over me.

Overhead the clouds rolled in and set the mysterious scene with a dark atmosphere. A light drizzle picked up and I wrapped my coat tighter around my shivering body.

EVery so often Alex looked back over his shoulder to check I was still following and smiled every time he saw me. We eventually reached a secluded area which I'd never even seen before. He tilted his body so that he was directly infront of me and said, "I don't like Oscuro, he looks at you, and every other girl for that matter, as if he's in charge and he can pick and choose," his face seemed to be think with humiliation and he lowered his head so that he stared blankly at the floor. I tried to interject a protest but he cut me off.

"He'd treat you awful," He took my hands and looked me in the eyes, "You don't know what he's capable of..."

I liquid acid seemed to burn through me. I had known Oscuro all my life and he thinks he can come into my life and tell me who to love and who not to!

"And you do?!" I retaliated.

He seemed taken aback by my tone and his face softened a little, "Look, trust me. This isn't exactly... the first time I've met Oscuro." The words seemed to slice the air and I raised my eyebrows, questioning him. "I can't explain... It's too complicated," He trailed off looking down again.

"Complicated?! What kind of an excuse is that?" Anger was still boiling through me. "You brought me here in the rain and cold just to wimp out?!" I flung my arms around me and the rain and wind seemed to pick up for empahsis.

He grabbed either side of my face and pulled his face close to mine. We were both breathing deeply with the tension in the air. "I'm sorry. I'm trying to protect you!" Tears stung at his eyes and I realised he was been sincerer. My thumb traced his cheekbone and slowly I rose to my tip toes and kissed him. Not like when Oscuro had kissed me with passion, this was gentle.

Raindrops pattered on the ground and on our faces and I lifted my arms around his neck and he continued to hold my face close to his...

That's when we heard a gunshot...
