Well, I'm definitely enjoying it! I'll admit to being a little distracted by one of the characters having a name similar to the male lead in Mary Poppins. I don't know if that's intentional, but it keeps jarring me out of the story and filling my head with images of Dick Van Dyke (which I doubt is your aim! Although it does reference another PATD video).
But, names aside, it is an interesting tale that is slowly (but not too slowly) unfolding. As a good writer, you are getting people to read several chapters despite no cliffhangers. That's pretty impressive actually.

I'm surprised that I've never replied to this. That crappy of me.
I see what you mean about the dame similarity. =) Some of the names of the characters are actually characters from an group of entertainers called the League of STEAM that performed as extras and worked as steampunk consultants for the music video. =) I've actually met "Crackitus Potts" and many other members in real life.Ballad of Mona Lisa

My mistake - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but same guy.
Sorry I haven't had chance to read the rest yet, but I will. You have very good way with imagery that makes it easy to visualise everything.

Thank you so much for all these lovely reviews. Ah! The dad... yeah you had me really confused when you said Mary Poppins. I sat staring at my computer for a few minutes thinking, "Bert? The chimney sweep?" Oh well, I love all of Dick Van Dyke's characters.Ballad of Mona Lisa

I'm telling you cliffhangers are important, it gets people wanting more faster hence they comment for more.
Or that's what I go for anyway.
I love how the little girl saw him and waved. Were you playing in to the fact that children seem to have a deeper 'sense' of what is around, supernaturally speaking?Author's response
Hehe... yeah but it doesn't really get me more comments. o.0 I think it's because my stories are so mild to begin with.
I'm glad you picked up on that! But yes, I feel like the more untainted someone is, the more aware they are to what is around them.
