“Woah, you coming to the party Gerard?” Bob asked and I nodded as I walked down the hall where they were waiting at the door. I stuffed my keys and phone into my jeans pockets and shoved my feet into my battered black converse which still had the blood splats from the beatings I got at high school.
“Frank! Hurry up!” Ray called and a few seconds later Frank came running down the stairs and slammed straight into my chest.
“Oops! Sorry I ran into your…well, they certainly cushion the blow.” Frankie murmured and I giggled as he blushed and looked down.
“You look cute when you’re embarrassed, you know.” I found myself saying and I clamped my hand over my mouth.
“As sweet as watching you two make a fool out of yourselves is, my brother doesn’t want to be responsible for people getting murdered by him. You know he hates parties Gee.” Ray whined, opening the door and rushing out with Mikey and Bob and running ahead to Ray’s house which is just around the corner from mine.
“Please don’t run, Frankie, it kills when I run.” I told him and he nodded, understanding.
“Let’s go then.” He linked his arm through mine and I laughed.
“Let’s skip over!” I suggested as I locked the door.
“Won’t it hurt your uhm…” Frank glanced down at my chest.
“Not as much as running does.” I assured him and we kept our arms linked as we skipped down the road and all the way into the party. Ray saw us and came over.
“What are you two doing?” He asked, confused.
“FROLICING!” Frankie shouted and Ray rolled his eyes, supressing a giggle.
“There’s someone I’d like you to meet, Frank. He knows more about guitar than I thought was humanly possible, I’d like you to meet my brother, David.”Ray said and I shuddered- David didn’t like me.
“Alright then.” Frankie said and let go of my arm.
“You alright on your own for a minute, Gee?” Ray asked and I nodded as Ray and Frankie darted off through the crowd. The house was packed! But Ray was well connected, so his parties always were. I grabbed a beer and sat down on the edge of the couch, just observing the people and feeling nervous, I don’t like crowds, they scare me. I took a large swig of my beer to try and calm myself down.
“Hey sweetie.” A man’s voice tickled my ear.
“Uhh, hello?” I replied, not wanting to seem rude.
“You’re pretty, I don’t see you at many parties.” I looked at the man, he was tanned and had long black hair tied back into a pony tail and his eyes were big and brown, very pretty.
“I don’t go to many.” I admitted, he put his hand on my knee, I didn’t want to shrug it off. Tonight I was going to be confident, or at least try, of that I was sure.
“Oh, but honey, you should.” He whispered seductively in my ear, “We should go somewhere less crowded, so I can get to know you better.” He whispered and me, being the idiotic social recluse of a fool I am, agreed.
“Okay.” I said and he took my hand in his leading me upstairs. When we got to Ray’s room he pushed open the door and pulled me in, shutting the door and locking it behind us. His lips crashed onto mine and I froze up, I didn’t want this! He tugged at my shirt but I swatted his hands away, he had me pinned against the wall and there was nothing I could do.
“Feisty are we?” He grunted against my lips as I carried on struggling. He pushed his hand up my top and grabbed one of my breasts roughly, which hurt and brought tears to my eyes which were squeezed shut to avoid seeing the horrific scene which was unfolding and happening to me in front of my eyes.
His other hand slid down and he had my belt undone and across Ray’s room in one swift motion.
“Stop! I don’t want this!” I cried and he silenced me by biting down hard on the soft skin of my neck. He ripped my jeans down and discarded them and his teeth started nipping at the delicate flesh of my inner thighs.
“Get off me!” I yelled and he growled, picking me up and shoving me on Ray’s bed, straddling me and kissing me harshly once again. He ripped off my boxers as I continued to struggle helplessly. He saw what I was and growled. He looked incredibly angry.
“YOU FREAK!” He yelled and punched me hard in the face, causing my nose to bleed. “YOU’RE UNNATURAL! YOU’RE A WIERDO!” He screamed and punched me in the gut. “PEOPLE LIKE YOU DESERVE TO DIE!” He screeched and punched me in the ribs, then kicked me in the head and ran out of the room. I lay on Ray’s bed, cuddling down in the covers that smell like my best friend and started crying as I bled. It wasn’t my fault I was this way, I certainly didn’t want to be this way. So why did people have to be so horrid? Why can’t they take me for what I am?
My phone started ringing and I retrieved it from the pocket of my jeans and looked at the time on the screen- it was three a.m.- I must have passed out. I answered the phone- it was Mikey.
“H-hello.” My voice was hoarse and cracked.
“Gee, where are you?” Mikey sounded worried.
“I’m in Ray’s room.” I started crying again. “I think I passed out.”
“No wonder, we’ve been calling you for hours? Are you okay?” He asked concerned, I couldn’t tell him what had happened, he’d be disappointed in me.
“I-I’m fine.” I whispered, my voice breaking as I started to cry.
“Okay, I’m coming up now.” Mikey whispered and put the phone down- he could always tell when I was lying to him. I went back to Ray’s bed and curled up in a ball, if the party was still going it could take a good ten minutes for Mikey to get here. So I curled myself up in a ball and started crying. Again.
