Act 1 Scene 2
[As the hearse “drives” sitting at the side of stage left, the backdrops and props change to a city scape wasteland with raining ashes. The orchestra version of Helena fades into an orchestra version of Welcome To Black Parade as the stage hands set up the next scene. The front lights turn up giving a little bit of a shadowy silhouette look. The Lights reveal a group of guys with black marching band uniforms. They were the same guys who played at the funeral not to long ago except Gerard has his Revenge Era make-up on(don’t kill me I hate when his hair is short and I hate when his hair is short and white so his look is his Revenge Era look but he still has his Black Parade outfit on). They walk over to the Hearse as the music still plays as the take the casket out of the hearse. Gerard picks her up out of the casket into his arms and gives her smalls shakes to wake her up. She soon wakes up and he helps her to her feet. The music quiets down but is still playing.]
Gean
W-what...is..g-going...o-on
[Gean is completely speechless and doesn’t have to much of her current memory. The music fads into the actual piano intro of Welcome to The Black Parade. Gerard takes her arm and start escorting her to the middle of the stage as the rest of the band follows]
Gerard
When I was, a young boy my father took me into the city, to see a marching band...he said son when you grow up..
[the rest of the band members except for Gerard and Gean march off the stage and give a solute as the drum beat comes in]
Will you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned? He said will you defeat them, your demons and all the non-believers, the plans that they have made, because one day I’ll leave you
[he lets go of Gean’s arm and walks towards the back of the stage]
A Phantom to lead you in the summer, TO JOIN THE BLACK PARADE
[Gerard does a spin in place and the city scape back drop splits in half as a moving Parade float with people in black garb marching behind it and the same group of guys in the black marching band outfits are on the float playing their instruments. Gerard begins flaunting in front of it like Willy Wonka. Fear and Regret climb on top the lower level of the float and lift Gerard up onto it]/]

[As the tempo begins to pick up the members of the Black Parade run out from behind the float and start to dance on both sides of the float. Gean is trying to run away but keeps getting repeatedly pushed back by the dancers]
Sometimes I get the feeling, she’s watching over me, and other times I feel like should go. When through it all the rise and fall, the bodies in the streets. And when your gone we want you all to know.

[Fear and Regret come down off of the stage to the back of the theater and open up the door and Mother War comes out and they escort her down the isles of the theater to the stage]

[Fear Regret grab Gean by her arms and Mother War grabs her cheeks hard]
So paint it black and take it back let’s shout it loud and clear. Defiant to the end we hear the call. To

[Mother War gives and evil smirk and she lets go of her at the same time Fear and Regret let go of her. She falls down and continues to try to run away but fails when she is pushed back by the dancers]

[Mikey,Ray, and Frank line up at the edge of their level of float and start acting like rock gods and shred. Gerard picks up a drum major baton and incorporates it in his choreography]

[Gerard has his arms raised straight up in the air and slowly brings them down and the whole band puts their feet in 5th position as Bob’s drum beat comes in to end the song. Gerard gives a drum major cut off to end the song]

Aubergine Welsh, better known as Gean, I would like to welcome you to your new after-life as a member of The Black Parade. There are no rules that I can think of. So on behalf of the band and me, The Parade’s Drum Major, welcome to the place were you carry on.
[Gerard smiles and reaches his hand out to her. She looks scared and starts to try and run off but Fear and Regret grab her and bring her right back]
Gean
Your saying I am dead sir, I can’t be because I was just partying with my friends and my boyfriend
Gerard
Well you wouldn’t be here if you were alive. Every new member looses allot of their memory when they first join, don’t worry you will gain it back.
[Gerard jumps of the float to her and kisses her hand]
Gean
Me,dead, what,no, this isn’t possible. I was supposed to live happily ever after with my sweet heart. My art was supposed to finally go on display at the art gallery in the city I live in. I am not dead, I am probably passed out on the floor of my apartment from a really crazy party. This probably all just a crazy drunken lady dream were I have died and went on to a crazy after life of a parade of zombies.
Frank
Heeheeehee, Zombies,heeeheee, man this chick is going through some hard denial.
Bob
What would you know Frank, we don’t even know if you were actually human with the way you act all the time.
Frank
Hey the nurses adored me
Ray
Frank, you told us that the nurses thought you were an awful fuck

They only thought that because they only go it once
[Frank then does a sexual gesture then laughs]
Gerard
Frank we all know you are a sick person, ok now back to business. Gean, you aren’t alone,we are all here to help you, you may be dead but your memory will carry on with everyone around you.

No I am not dead, this is all some crazy drunken stupor dream. I am going to wake up soon hungover with my sweet heart.
Gerard
Umm...hun....you have been dead for more than five days. We don’t know how you exactly died but we know when someone dies and is on the way to joining the Parade.
Gean
No this isn’t true, we were supposed to spend forever with each. We were supposed to become successful artists together
Gerard
Hun we have heard it all before the denial stage will wear off soon after you start regaining most of your memory
Gean
NO! NO! this isn’t supposed to happen
[The first chords of the Ghost of you begin]

Gerard
[has his hands in his pocket with a “I’ve heard it all before face]

[Gean falls to the floor shaking and looking at her hands]

[he comes down to her level and holds her shoulders. Mikey starts to move as if there is something wrong with Gerard grabbing her shoulders but Frank holds him back.]

[Gerard takes Gean behind the float which means they have exited the stage. The members of the Black Parade stop and talk with each other and carry out their own business. Mikey gets back on the float and the band begins to eyeball him.]
Mikey
What are you all looking at?
Ray
You ruined the moment were she could of gotten her memory back and learned the truth.
Mikey
Do you want Mama to learn the truth to. You know what will happen to him and all of us if she knows the truth.
[everyone sighs and the lights go done ending the Scene 2 of act 1 as the stage hands set up the next set for scene 3 of act 1]
