Imagine my delight at seeing a new DrT story, and at the intricate background you have set out here.
I think that this is the 1st time I have seen Harry mail himself somewhere - brilliant - and having had to, under extreme spousal pressure, watch the 1st half of the DH movie, I am really glad to have something to take that horrid taste out of my mouth.
thanks so much

The DH movie was why I went ahead and posted despite not being anywhere near finished -- I really dislike the last two books (other's milage may vary). So, I needed a good reason to kill the camping trip before Godric's Hollow. Then a plausible destination was needed -- Hermione was correctly estimating that the technomages would at least be willing to give them shelter; the rest was beyond her. They of course needed to reveal enough to get them shelter and at least help with Harry's Horcrux -- hording too much information a la Dumbledore would not have helped them. Hope you enjoy the rest of the fic once I get some more work done on itEscape and Return!

This is definitely an interesting take on the world of Harry Potter. I like it so far. I'm not a fan of Ron in the least. Thank you for getting him out of the picture early. I look forward to the Harry/Hermione romance. Thanks for sharing.Escape and Return!

Absolutely fantastic! Some of what I was going to say has been said by others. So keep up the fantastic work and I am glad you are back.
Take care.

Good start. It will probably be interesting to see H&H dealing with a new and different culture and environment. A magic thinktank could certainly be a help. Thanks for writing. W.Escape and Return!

::whistkes:: First of all, welcome back, I've missed new work from you though I admit to thoroughly enjoying re-reading your existing work. I love the clear point of departure for this AU and I look forward to seeing how matters evolve, especially once the "thing" (horcrux, soul-piece, or whatever) in Harry's head is examined and either removed or rendered harmless. The means of their escape from Britain was a nice touch and I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here. Mind you, this method does seem faintly reminiscent of another story, on FFN, where they run the summer after Fifth Year, and, at one point, hide in a trunk which is then shipped non-magically to the US.Author's response
I don't think I've come across that story, but I guess it's almost impossible to come with angles no one else has used in some way! Of course, my North American Confederation has been in at least three of my previous fics, and I used technomages in one as well. Hopefully many will enjoy the fic in any eventEscape and Return!
