Melody's POV

The past month had passed in a blur. My exams had come and gone and to my surprise they had been easier than I had expected. Frank had helped me study for hours in preparation which paid off in the end. My desire to finish my schooling had spurred me on in hopes I could finish before our daughter was born which would make it undoubtedly easier to focus on rasing her. Now, with just six weeks remaining until my due date, I had one lesson for each subject left and then my graduation exams to take.

Frank and I had searched for hours on end to find a house we were both happy with. One with a good-sized yard and plenty of room for our soon-to-be family. Neither of us wanted to be too far from our friends and never-ending support system. Frank had completely lucked up when he had come across a two and a half story, Victorian style house just miles from the apartment.

The first time I had seen it had been in shock, arguing that it was too much. Frank insisted it was perfect and that we 'had to have it'. After pleading with him and getting absolutely nowhere I had given up. The house itself was beautiful and more than enough but I couldn't help feeling like it was too much. Frank argued that he wanted the best for us and he refused to take no for an answer.

The house was a two and a half story, Victorian style home with white siding and black shutters. Two small steps led up to a wrap-around porch covering the entire front and left side of the house. The first time I lay eyes on the inside I thought I would faint from the beauty alone. From the small entryway you could take a left into a large family room decorated with off white walls and cherry wood floors. A stone fireplace decorated one wall and a built-in bookcase ran along the other.

To the right of the entry was the kitchen which was painted a cream color and consisted of several matching overhead cabinets as well as a row along the bottom beneath black top counters. An island stood in the middle with a small breakfast bar on one side. Located to the right of the kitchen was an adequate size dining room painted a slightly darker shade than the kitchen and surrounded on one side by a row of windows and on the other a pantry.

A short hallway lead from the dining area to a spacious laundry room with a full bathroom straight across from it. At the end of the hall was a separate room which Frank said could be used as either an office or a fifth bedroom.

A set of wooden stairs lead up from the entryway to the second floor where four more bedrooms were located, including the master bedroom. The two bedrooms down the hall behind the stairs and to the left were identical in size and structure except one room was painted in a soft purple shade and the other a mint green. Each had a large walk-in closet. A large bathroom connected the two rooms with doors on each side.

The third bedroom was painted in hues of pink and located to the right. It was slightly larger than the other two rooms with a built in window seat overlooking the backyard. An en-suite bathroom connected to this room with a door to the left and to the right was a more than adequate sized walk-in closet.

Located directly across from the stairs was the master bedroom and the largest of the four rooms. It held two separate walk-in closets and was painted in a cream color much like the kitchen. The left side of the room held a door which opened to reveal the master bathroom and a separate linen closet. To the right was a set of double-doors leading to a balcony area overlooking the front yard.

Directly behind the stairs was a door with a set of stairs leading straight into a spacious attic. The attic had windows on each side overlooking either yard and a sky-lit in the roof in the middle of the room.

Frank had been adamant about having a spacious, fenced in yard for our daughter and possible future children to play in and had been completely thrilled when he had found just that. The yard was large with a concrete patio leading to an in-ground pool and plenty of lush, green grass for our daughter to play in.

I stood to the side watching Frank direct the delivery drivers on where to place our newly delivered furniture. Frank had insisted on going shopping immediately following our purchase of the house. I hadn't argued because the fact was we needed new furnishings for the house. Luckily, Frank and I had similar taste in style and had settled on a color scheme of black and dark red in every room except the nursery and the kitchen. The kitchen, we had decided, would be decorated in chrome and black and our daughter's room would consist of soft pinks, purples, and greens.

The day before Alicia, Alyson, Benji, and Zac had come over and helped me decorate the entire house. It had been exhausting but we had managed to get every set of curtains and blinds in place as well as every painting, appliance, rug, and odd decoration in place. The only thing lacking now was the furniture which was being hauled into the house now.

I smiled as Frank strolled over and wrapped his arms around me, resting the palms of his hands on my swollen abdomen. I leaned back into his touch, humming as his lips grazed my right cheek.

"The house is going to look amazing once everything is in the right place."

"It's already amazing, Frankie. It's beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you are." He breathed as he turned my face to his, kissing my lips as his fingers traced over my tummy. "Are you hungry, baby?" He questioned, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"A little." I shrugged.

"The delivery drivers are almost done. We'll go get something when they leave.

"Could we just order in? I'm kind of tired."

"Sure. I think there's a pizza place that delivers out here. I think there is a phone book somewhere in the kitchen. Why don't you go find a place and give them a call?"

"Okay."

Frank turned me in his arms and placed a kiss to my forehead before making his way back into the living room where the two men were finishing up with the living room. I located the phone book in a drawer beside the stove and searched for the nearest pizza delivery restaurant. I ordered a couple of large cheese pizzas and a two liter of coke before wandering into the living room to see Frank showing the men out as he thanked them.

"The pizza should be here in about thirty minutes or so."

"Sounds great." He grinned as he grasped my hand and led me to our new couch.

He plopped onto the couch, pulling me into the circle of his arms and nuzzling his nose into my neck. "Mmm...so tired."

I laughed, jabbing a finger at his ribs. "You didn't even do anything, dork."

"Did too." He moaned. "I had to tell them where to put everything and follow them up and down stairs all day and fuck, I didn't realize how much furniture we had bought."

I laughed. "Well, you did insist on furnishing every room. Even the ones we're not using yet."

He shrugged. "We couldn't just leave them empty. It would look weird."

"Yeah, yeah." I mumbled. "You should find us a movie to watch. The pizza should be here any minute now."

He groaned, wrapping his arms around me tighter and burying his face in my shoulder. "I don't wanna. That requires moving and I'd rather not."

"Please? 'Cause you love me?"

"That's not fair." He whined, peeking up from where his face was buried against my shoulder.

I smirked, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose. "Anything but The Exorcist, Frankie. I'd rather not be scared out of my mind on our first night here."

He snickered, squeezing me against his body. "Fine but it's still going to be a scary movie."

I snorted. "I wouldn't expect anything less."

He grinned as he rolled off of the couch and went in search of the box containing his movie collection. Just then the doorbell rang and I pushed myself up from the couch to answer the door. A delivery driver stood on the other side with a friendly smile on his face.

"Good evening." He greeted.

"Hello. How much do I owe you?"

"Twenty-one fifty. Hey, I think I know you. You're Melody, right?"

My heart skipped a beat only to pound relentlessly against chest. I could feel my eyes widen as I stared back at this stranger, trying in vain to place his face.

"I, um...y-yeah. Do I...do I know you?"

"We met last summer. You're Greyson's girlfriend, right? I'm his cousin, Alex."

"Oh, um...n-no. We're no longer together."

He frowned. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize."

My nervous jittered beneath my skin, causing my hands to shake. I really hoped this stranger wouldn't tell Greyson about our encounter but I couldn't be sure and I couldn't just ask him not to tell him. That would seem suspicious and if they're family he might tell him anyway. I steadied myself the best I could, taking a deep breath and plastering a smile on my face.

"It's okay. Excuse me for one moment." I smiled and turned away to find Frank. "Frankie?"

Frank popped his head from around the corner of the living room and lifted his eyebrows in questioning. "Yeah?"

"It's twenty-one fifty."

He smiled as he made his way to the door and paid the driver before wandering into the kitchen. He fixed us each a plate with a few slices of pizza and a glass of coke while I slumped onto the couch trying to squash my nerves.

Frank returned to the living and sat beside me, placing a glass and a plate on the table in front of me. I stared at it, lost in my own thoughts, until Frank nudged me, wanting to know why I wasn't eating.

"Hey, you okay? I thought you were hungry?"

"I, um...."

Frank placed his own plate down and shifted so he was facing me. "Baby, what's wrong?"

"I just...that guy...he was..is..."

"Who? The pizza guy? Did he say something to you?" Frank's tone turned from one of concern to one of anger quickly as he took my hand in his own and forced me to meet his eyes. "What did he say to you, Melody?"

"He knows who I am, Frankie. He's Greyson's cousin."

His eyes narrowed to slits. "What else did he say?"

"Nothing. He wasn't rude or anything he just knew my name and asked if I was still Greyson's girlfriend. It just scared me a little, I guess. He could tell Greyson where I am and I don't want him starting any trouble. Not after what he threatened the last time"

His face softened as he pulled me into his arms, stroking his fingers through my hair and rubbing my back soothingly. "Hey, there's nothing to be afraid of, baby. I will never let anyone hurt you, okay?"

"I know, Frankie. It was just unexpected, I guess. I'm okay."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." I nodded, forcing a smile on my face. "Did you find a movie?"

"Yep. How does X-Men sound?"

"Perfect."

Frank popped the DVD in the player and pressed start before settling back on the couch and wrapping his arms around me, pulling me against his chest and placing a chaste kiss to my temple.

As I lay in Frank's arms I tried pushing my fears of Greyson away. I can't help but wonder what Greyson will do if he finds out where I am. As I had learned months ago, his threats were not empty ones. I truly believe if he takes a notion to he will try to mess things up for us. He'll expose Frank to the media and tell the truth about my age. I can't bear to think what that could possibly mean for the band and for Frank's reputation. It would kill me if anything happened to Frank because of me.

As the thoughts wormed around my brain, exhausting me I closed my eyes and let the warmth of Frank's body surround me; let his breaths lull me into what I hoped would be a dreamless sleep.

***

When I woke the next morning I found myself in our bed wrapped securely in a comforter and alone. Frank was nowhere to be seen and his side of the bed seemed to have long since been abandoned. Swinging my legs over the edge of the bed my feet met the cool wood and I stood, stretching the aches and pains from my body. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and ventured downstairs where I found Frank sitting at the kitchen table with Mikey and Alicia.

"There you are, sleepyhead. We didn't think you would ever wake up." Frank grinned, motioning me over to the table.

My face crumpled in confusion as he pulled me onto his lap. "What time is it?"

"Almost noon."

"Shit. I didn't even realize. How long have you two been here?"

Mikey shrugged. "Not long. We came to help for this afternoon."

"This afternoon?"

Frank chuckled as he buried his face in the side of my neck. "The barbecue. It's kind of like a housewarming party or something. Did you forget?"

"Oh shit. That's today?"

"Yep." Alicia chirped. "Mikey came to help Frank cook and I'm here to keep you company." She winked.

"As long as I don't have to cook." I shrugged. "Who's coming?"

"It'll be us, Gee, Chris, and Ray."

"Sounds fun."

"I need to make a trip to the mall and you're coming with me."

"Don't we need to stay and help the guys?"

"No." Frank answered. "We've got everything covered. You two go have fun just be back by three."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course. Mikey and I can handle things here."

I shrugged. "Okay."

I slid from Frank's lap and made my way back upstairs with Alicia following closely behind. Alicia wandered from room to room as I took a quick shower and dressed. She helped me dry and fix my hair then apply a bit of makeup. Once we had finished we headed back downstairs where the guys were still sat in the kitchen.

"We'll be back by three." Alicia announced upon entering the kitchen.

"You two be careful and have fun. Here's my credit card incase you see something you want." Frank smiled, taking his wallet from his back pocket and retrieving his credit card.

"That's okay, Frankie. I really don't need anything."

"I insist. You'll probably get hungry at least."

I sighed, taking the card from him and placing it safely in my wallet. "Thanks. I love you."

He stood and pulled me into a hug. "I love you, too." He kissed my lips and ushered us out the door.

***

The small trip to the mall had been a bit exhausting and left me with a dull ache in my lower back and feet but it had been well worth it. Spending time with Alicia was always worth it. We pulled into the drive just before three and immediately I knew something was amiss. There was definitely more cars than there should have been. Upon further inspection I smiled as I realized one of those extra cars belonged to Benji. Suddenly, the impromptu trip to the mall seemed to make complete sense.

"Leesh, why didn't you guys tell me Benji was coming?"

She shrugged, a wide smile spreading across her face. "It was a surprise."

"Of course it was." I laughed. "But what about the other cars? I don't recognize any of them."

"That's a surprise, too."

I rolled my eyes but smiled nonetheless. "Frank, right?"

"Yep. He swore me to secrecy. You'll just have to see."

"Come on then. I want to know who he invited."

Alicia laughed as we both climbed from the car and hurried up the path to the house. I was more than curious to see who all Frank had decided to invite to this supposedly small barbecue. As we entered the house it was quiet and no one seemed to actually be inside so I led Alicia through the house to the backyard. I was more than shocked to see most of the people in my yard.

Frank was in the pool splashing around with Pete, Brendon, Gabe, Benji, and Zac. Gerard and Ray were sitting around one of the patio tables talking with Cassie, Leanna, Patrick, and Joe while Mikey and Chris were by the grill cooking and conversing with Alyson, Ryan, William, Andy, and Ryan Ross.

The patio itself was decorated in pinks, purples, and soft greens of crepe paper, balloons, and a sign that read 'It's A Girl!' My eyes narrowed as I turned back around to face Alicia who shrugged, a sly smile plastered to her face.

"You knew about this didn't you?" I accused her playfully.

"Well yeah, of course. I was the distraction silly."

I smiled, shaking my head. "Have I ever told you how amazing you guys are?"

"Once or twice but it never hurts to hear again."

"Melody! You're back." Frank shouted, climbing from the pool and darting toward me, wrapping me in a wet hug before I could protest.

"Frankie, you're getting me all wet!"

"Oh really? I'd say let's sneak away but I think people would notice." He smirked mischievously, winking at me.

"You are such a pervert."

He shrugged. "You still love me."

"This is true." I nodded, shooting him a grin "Frankie, how long have you been planning this?"

He shrugged, grinning. "It was Alicia's idea. I just made the guest list."

"Thanks guys. This is awesome."

"Stop hogging Melody." Pete huffed, pushing Frank to the side playfully and throwing his arms around me in a hug. "It's been too long. Look how much your stomach has grown."

"Yep. Only six more weeks."

"Move it, Wentz. My turn." Brendon pushed him aside and gave me, yet another, wet hug. "My, my, look at you. You get more beautiful every time I see you."

I snorted. "No. I get fatter every time you see me."

"You are not fat. You're pregnant, dork." Benji snorted, pushing his way past Brendon and circling me in a hug. "I've missed you so much, Mel."

My chest tightened, my heart clenching almost painfully as I hugged him tightly. "I've missed you, too, Benj."

After I had received a hug or two from almost every person present and been introduced to Ryan Ross, Frank ushered me to a table and made me wait as he fixed my plate. The party went on well into the night as we enjoyed ourselves and the food alike. I received several gifts for both myself and the baby and we played a few interesting baby shower games Alicia and Cassie had come up with.

By the end of the night I was exhausted and more than ready to fall into my bed. Most of our guests went home save for Cassie, Leanna, Benji, Zac, and Pete who chose to stay over. It was sad to have to say goodbye to my sister once again but it felt nice being able to finally spend time with her and introduce her to some of the friends I had made in the past few months.

Once Frank and I got everyone set up and ready for bed we retired to our own room where we changed into our pajamas and practically crashed into bed. Frank slid his arms around me and pulled me close, nuzzling the side of my neck and placing gentle kisses along my shoulder.

"Did you have fun today?"

"Yes. Thank you, Frankie. It was better than I could have ever imagined."

"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."

"Me too."

"Goodnight, baby. I love you."

"I love you, too, Frankie."

He kissed my lips softly and I snuggled into his side, humming happily as we both descended into a peaceful slumber.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

I'm sorry it's been so long. I've honestly had more going on in my life lately than I care to think about and I won't trouble you all with that drama. I wanted to get something up for you all though and I feel like this could have been better but I've been up for far too long and I can barely hold my eyes open any longer.
