Chapter 9 - Andys POV
I ran my hands through her soft hair, her head rested on my shoulder. We hadn’t moved from our tree since last night. The sun rose slowly over the glistening water, reflecting off the clouds turning everything a delicate pink colour. It was so beautiful, I thought, but not nearly as beautiful as the girl beside me.
“Look,” said Ezme, pointing further down the park. I looked to where she was pointing to see a familiar face, one that looked just as happy as I felt. He still hadn’t noticed us, even as he stopped under our tree. I knew just how to get his attention.

“AHAHAHA good shot beautiful!” I said to Ezme. Shaun looked up at us and laughed. We talked with him for a while longer before he continued down the path.
“Wonder what Bradie and Sarah got up to,” Said Ezme with a laugh

An angry, loud voice filled the park. Something had happened with Kirrah and Shaun. Kirrah ran past us, tears streaming down her face. “Oh gosh, I’d better go after her,” said Ezme as she climbed down the tree and ran after Kirrah.
I climbed down the tree to look for Shaun, but by the time i got down, he was gone.

I wanted to find Ezme. As I walked through the peaceful streets towards her house, a dozen red roses in my hand, I thought about how lucky I was to have found her, how I didn’t think that I could bare to lose her, we’d only been on one date, but that was all it took, I was in love with her. I just hoped that she felt the same.

I saw her through her bedroom window, I’ll go up and surprise her, I thought. I snuck through the door and up the stairs.
“SURPRI- huh? what the hell is going on!” I yelled, as I stared at Ezme, her lipstick smudged, her arms still wrapped around a girl with flaming red hair, who had her arms around Ezme’s waist and her lips to her neck. Ezme jumped quickly away from the other girl.
I dropped the roses and slowly and shakily walked out of the room. What did I do wrong? I thought, was this my fault? Did I actually turn her off guys? As I walked I felt my heart rip in two.
“Andy!” I heard her call from behind me. The pain of what I had just seen showed clearly on my face as I turned around to face her.
“What do you want?” I asked, “I thought we had something, didn’t I at least deserve to be told by you instead of seeing you with someone else?” I turned around to walk away.
“Wait!” she cried,”Andy, I’m so sorry I didn’t tell you, but I didn’t have a chance!”
“Oh, so you were just too busy getting it on with her to tell me?” I cried, “How long?”
“It just happened, ok. I had no more of an idea that I was by-sexual than you did,” she said with tears running down her face.
“Oh… well was it something I did?” I asked, I could feel the tears welling in my eyes.
“No! Of course not!” she said, but I didn’t beleive her.
“Well, what does this mean for us?” I asked her.
“Look, I’m sorry for hurting you, but I need to think, I’m sorry, but you and Lucy will be the first to know,” she said softly. Lucy, so that was her name.
“I just want you to know, even though we have only known eachother for such a short time, I love you, and I will wait for you, no matter how long it takes you, I’m sorry if all of this is my fault,” I said, the tears that were welling in my eyes finally burst through as I walked away from the best thing that had ever happened to me.
