Chapter 15 - Shauns POV

I released the breath I didn’t know that I was holding.

“Bradie, you look gorgeous,” said Sarah with a huge smile.

“You can see!” He yelled in excitement. Sarah wrapped her arms around him and kissed him passionately. I looked away awkwardly, all I could think about was Kirrah.

Sarah turned to face me, “come on, lets get on with your plan, I’ll go get Kirrah and distract her for a while, what time do you guys want us there?” she asked me.

“Uh, be here at six, Jumpnow will be out the front if we’re not ready, he’ll distract you guys until we text him,” I said, I could feel the excitement building deep in my chest, this was going to work, I thought, it had to.

“Jumpnow’s back?” asked Sarah, a large smile spreading across her face, Sarah and Jumpnow had always been great friends.

“Haha yeah, just flew in this morning” I replied.

“Haha awesome! okay, I’m gonna go meet up with Kirrah now, good luck with setting up and shizz,” Sarah said as she walked away. Bradie stared after her with complete adoration showing clearly on his face.

I punched him lightly in the arm as I said, “you’re in love with her.” I smiled.

“Yeah,” he said softly, I was surprised he actually admited it to me, he wasn’t much of a talker, “and It’s pretty obvious your in love with Kirrah, didn’t think you would ever actually fall in love, you always seemed like such a whore.” He laughed and jumped back as I took a playful swing at him.

“Let’s go set up,” I laughed, as he stood, i pushed him back and ran before he could get me.

. . . . .

Everything was finally in place. The lights, the roses, the band. I had called in a favor from some guys I knew to get then to play tonight, I knew that Kirrah loved their music.

“Hey Shaun! When are they getting here?” asked Jeremy from the stage.

“They should be here soon, like, now-ish,” I said. I heard the noise of someone running in the doors. I turned around to see Jumpnow.

“Sarah just sent me a text, they’re leaving Kirrah’s house now,” he said excitedly, I wondered what had happened to his usual bored and uninterested voice.

I smiled as we added the final touches to the awesome scene that we had created. She was going to love this.

. . . . .

“Huh?” Kirrah said, looking confused, Sarah said something quietly to her as they walked down the stairs to the dance floor that I was standing on.

“Shaun?” Kirrah whispered, “You did this? For me? But.. but what about Ji?” She winced as she said that name.

“There is nothing going on between me and Ji, she kissed me,” I said, looking deep into her eyes, searching them for the girl I knew would forgive me, the girl who loved me. I just hoped I wasn’t to late to find her.

“It’s true,” said Jeremy, from up on the stage, “I tried to kiss him, but he’s obviously in love with you, I mean, who wouldn’t want this,” he joked, while doing a bad imitation of a sexy dance. I just laughed at him

Slowly, a large grin spread over her face as she stepped closer to me, I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer, our faces pressed close together, lips so close to touching, her arms wrapped around my neck, she was standing on her toes, I swept her off the ground and into my arms, pressing my lips to hers in a long, passionate embrace. Our kisses started out fierce, like we were drowning and the other was our only air supply, the kiss slowly turned softer, more loving. I felt like i couldn’t get close enough to her. We broke the long kiss, Kirrah was smiling and looked a bit dizzie, I set her back onto her feet, placing a hand on her shoulder to steady her. She smiled up at me.

“Well, I don’t ever want to go that long without doing that again,” she said with a smile.

I heard the noise of footsteps as someone walked onto the dance floor. I turned around to see Andy with a girl, but it wasn’t Ezme.

“Shani,” hissed Sarah and Kirrah together.
