Chapter 14 - Kirrahs POV
“KIRRAH!” I heard an excited scream behind me, Sarah, “well don’t you look lovely today!” I was still getting used to her being able to see again, we had all thought that she’d be blind for sure, we never told her that, but we all thought it.
“Come on, we’re going to celebrate!” she said with a nervous smile, she was hiding something.
“You can’t fool me, what are you hiding?” I asked her.
“Nothing, I just wanted to celebrate me being able to see and all, I was hoping that you would come with,” she said sadly bowing her head slightly and looking up at me, her bright gray-green eyes staring into mine with hope. Gosh she’s good at guilt trips, I thought.
“Fine, but I know your hiding something,” I said to her, she was grinning ear to ear, “So, what are we doing?”
“Um, well the guys kinda gave me backstage passes and VIP tickets to their concert tonight, and well I was hoping that you would come with me?” she asked, her voice was so pleading, and I knew that even if I said no she would just guilt trip me into going with her.
“I hate you, but I’m not gonna ditch you,” I said. Sarah basically jumped with excitement. That’s funny, I thought, I didn’t know they had any concerts coming up.
“Well I think we need to go get new outfits,” said Sarah as she grabbed me by the wrist and we walked towards her car.
. . . . .
“Well I think we’re right for clothes for a long time now!” I said as we stumbled through the door to my house, our arms overflowing with shopping bags.
“I’m going to go get Shani, she would love most of this stuff, come with?” I asked. we ran up the stairs to her bedroom.
“Shani!! Come help us wi-” I blinked in shock, not sure if what I saw was real, “huh?”
There, in the bed, arms and legs in a tangled mess, was Shani and Andy! They sprang nervously away from each other.
“So didn’t need to see that!” I said, I could feel the anger filling my mind, “get dressed and com down stairs, we need to talk.” I spun around and walked out the door, closing it with a loud thump. Sarah followed quickly behind me.
. . . . .
Andy stumbled down the stairs, still buttoning up his shirt, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. I was so angry at him!
“How could you do that to Ezme!” I yelled at him.
“She did it to me first,” he said sadly, “and besides, she picked Lucy over me.” My anger towards him melted at the heartbroken look on his face. I couldn’t be angry at him when he was that sad. Shani walked down the stairs with a smug look on her face. I had no trouble being angry at her.
“Okay, I understand he’s not in the best head space, but you! you let him do this?! Do you understand that this will just make everything worse?!
“Hey! Ezme gave up any rights she had to him, when she cheated on him, then when she left him for Lucy,” She practically screamed at me.
“Since when does that make it okay for you to be a slut and fuck anything that moves?!” Sarah said, sticking up for Ezme, she never really did like Shani. I couldn’t help but laugh at that.
Shani grabbed Andy’s wrist and they walked out the door.
. . . . .
“Oh gosh Kirrah! We need to go, like now!!” said Sarah, as I finished straightening my hair.
My heart was pounding in my chest the whole way there, in a way, I wanted to see Shaun again, but I wasn’t sure how I would react to him, I was still in love with him, but what he did hurt so much.
“We’re here!” said Sarah excitedly, she was defiantly hiding something.
We walked through the big doors, it was so dark in there, I couldn’t see anything. Dim lights came on around the edges. Where were all the people? I mean, this is a concert, I thought.A huge bright spot light illuminated the center of the dance floor that should have been the mosh….
“Huh?” I said confused. What was happening? What was this?
“See, this is what I was hiding,” Sarah said with a smile. I walked down the stairs to the dance floor…
