Chapter 13 - Andys POV
“Oh my gosh! It’s Andy!” I heard someone scream. Great, another fan girl, I thought, I so don’t need this right now. I put on my best fake smile and turned to face the gushing girls.
“Hi girls,” I said with a forced smile, generally I didn’t mind this, but right now I just wanted to be alone, or better yet, with Ezme.
“Ohmigawd Andy we like, love you so so so much, could we get a photo?” a blond girl gushed out. I nodded and stepped closer so that she could take the photo.
. . . . .
After a few more minutes of listening to the girls gush on and on about how much they loved me, I said goodbye to them and continued down the path until I ran into Shani, Kirrahs little sister.
“Hi Andy, How are you doing? I heard about Ezme, that was a really bitchy thing for her to do to you,” I started to say something to defend Ezme, but she cut me off, “You know, the best way to get over someone, is a rebound, and well… I wouldn’t mind if you used me.” She stepped closer to me, lust filled her eyes. I pushed her away.
“No, Shani, I’m not gonna do that to Ezme,” I said as I stepped back.
“Well, just know that my offer still stands, if you change your mind, Kirrah’s out of town for a few days, so I’m home alone, stop by and we can have some… fun,” She said as she looked me up and down, her look told me exactly what type of “fun” she was implying. I walked away.
. . . . .
I didn’t know where I was going, only that I didn’t want to stop, I walked aimlessly, head down, not aware of where I was going. When I finally looked up, I found myself outside Ezmes house, and she was rushing out the door, her hand was clasped tightly in Lucy’s.
“Andy!” she said, shocked, “what are you doing here?”
“I guess I just wanted to see you, and from the looks of this, I see you’ve made up your mind,” I said sadly, as the hot tears of heartbreak welled in my eyes.
Ezme, looked over to Lucy, “Honey, why don’t you go wait inside, I’ll be there in a minute.”
“Don’t worry, I get it, I wasn’t good enough for you,” I muttered.
“No! Don’t think like that Andy!” She scolded me.
“Just say it, you picked her,” I said through clenched teeth.
“I was just coming to find you, look, your a great guy, but, I’m so so sorry Andy, But I’m going to choose Lucy, I hope you understand.” She walked away as my heart ripped in half. the hot tears that had been welling in my eyes finally broke through.
. . . . .
I took a deep breath in as I knocked on the heavy wooden door. Almost instantly the door swung open to reveal a woman, dressed in black skinny jeans and a tightly fitting tube top that left little to the imagination, her dark hair fell dead straight down her back and across her shoulders, her fringe brushing her eyes.
“Shani,” I said quietly.
“Andy!” she said looking pleased, and slightly amused, “I’m so glad you came.” She pulled me quickly into the house and closed the door with a loud, heavy thump.
