Chapter 20

Jen’s/Detonator Android’s POV

I’d been so caught up in the fact that my father was dead that I had not realized what was going on with everyone around here. I had hardly left the room Ray and I know shared; we slept in different beds of course. I was woken by a lot of voices outside our bedroom and opened the door to see Party Poison, Kobra Kid, Sonic Sunrise and a stranger carrying in an unconscious boy. His skin was deathly pale and covered in a light sweat, his breathing laboured and ragged.

“Put him in our room,” said Sonic.
“Who is he? What happened?” I asked Black-Hearted Bauty, who was walking past. She looked shocked at the fact that I had talked, which was understandable considering the only person I had talked to since Bob died was Jet Star, who I had not seen in a few hours, he had said something about helping Crash Exploder, it took me a while to realize that was Kirrah, I was having trouble with the whole Killjoy name’s thing.

“I-I dunno… They just bought him in,” she said quietly. I walked after them, they had helped me so much over the past few days, maybe I could help someone else now.

Gerard’s/Party Poison’s POV

Crash Exploder was knocked up, Fun Ghoul had proposed to Crash Exploder, she had run off, now Sonic Sunrise had left to go after her, she had left me with her two cousin’s one of whom was currently unconscious in our bed. Fuck. Barely a week ago, our lives were normal; we were going to school, worrying about tests, and bullies. Our biggest problem was keeping Crash safe from her parents! God, I wish we could go back to those times, at the time, I hated that school, I hated the bullies, the stupid classes, all the teachers walking around, looking down at you like they were so much better than you. Now, I would trade almost anything to go back to that time.

I could see a single motorbike rapidly approaching us, kicking up a line of dust behind it. But wait, why was there only one? I heard someone walk out the front door of the cabin. I turned around to see Fun Ghoul, a single tear rolled down his cheek as he walked over to me.
“She’s going to say no… Isn’t she,” he said, it wasn’t a question, it was what he thought was the truth.
“You don’t know that, look, there’s someone coming up the mountain now, so hopefully you won’t have to wait too long,” I said.

As the biker got closer I could see that there were two people on the motorbike. Crash and Sonic, wait, why were they on one motorbike?


Kirrah’s/Crash Exploder’s POV

I could see him now; Fun Ghoul was standing just behind Party Poison as we made our way towards them at a rapid pace. Sonic Sunrise had her injured arm cradled to her chest while the other was wrapped around my waist as I drove. We’d had to slow down many times because she couldn’t hold on properly and had almost fallen off.

I pulled up next to the boy’s and helped Sonic off the bike. Party Poison rushed over to us.
“What happened!?” he asked frantically.
“Korse,” I spat.
“He shot you!?” exclaimed Poison.
“Obviously,” Sonic said as she rolled her eyes. Was it not obvious?
“Come here,” he said as he picked Sonic up.
“I can walk!” she said.
“But you’re hurt!” he argued.
“It’s not bad!” she said, trying to get down.
“I don’t care,” he said as he lowered his lips to hers, “I’m carrying you I and that’s final.”
“Oh freaking fine then,” she huffed as she gave up.

I laughed at them, they were so freaking cute! Sonic turned and winked at me over her shoulder. I turned to Fun Ghoul.
“I-I’ll leave you alone if you want,” he said sadly. He turned slowly, about to walk away.
“Frank!” I said, feeling that this was an appropriate time to use his real name. He turned around, a hopeful expression on his beautiful face.
“Kirrah?” he asked, wide-eyed and hopeful.

I didn’t know what to say. Now that I look back on it, a simple yes would have sufficed, but of course, I didn’t think of that at the time. No, instead I launched myself onto him, kissing him passionately. Fun Ghoul was shocked for a few moments, then he started to kiss me back. He lifted me off my feet and swung me around as he kissed me over and over again, on the cheek, on my nose, all over my face.

“I’d take it that’s your answer,” he laughed.
“Yes yes yes!” I yelled, grinning from ear to ear.
“Well then,” he said as he pulled a small box from his pocket, “would you like to tell the others? Mrs Iero?” My heart skipped a beat as he said my new last name and slid a ring onto my finger.
“Oh Frankie! It’s beautiful!” and it was. It was a simple ring, but I loved it more than anything in the world, except for Frank and my un-born baby that is, three gold bands plaited together and joined at the end formed my engagement ring.

Fun Ghoul carried me into the house bridal style, a large grin on his face.
“We’re getting married!” he said excitedly when we got into the small cabin, which was over-flowing with people. Jet Star (Ray), Kobra Kid (Mikey), Party Poison (Gerard), Sonic Sunrise (Sarah), Beyond Birthday (Lindsey), Detonator Android (Jen), and the people who hadn’t revealed their real names, Apoclyto, Black-Hearted Beauty, Lady Madness, Toxic Bite and Chemical Corpse all grinned and cheered. Wow, I didn’t think they would be that happy about it!

“Fuck yeah! Buck’s night!” yelled Party Poison. Sonic laughed and whacked him over the head with her good arm.
“Bridal shower?” asked Lady Madness.
“BABY SHOWER!” yelled Beyond Birthday.
“Yet again, BUCK’S NIGHT!” laughed Party Poison.
“No! No buck’s night!” laughed Fun Ghoul.
“Why not babe?” I asked. I thought he would have wanted one.
“I just want to marry you as soon as possible, I don’t care about that stupid tradition! I want you, and you only!” he said.
“AAWWWW! That’s so cute!” said Sonic. All the girls cooed and commented on how adorable he was while the guys made jokes about Fun Ghoul being whipped.

“Have a buck’s night! Let the other boys have their fun, and it’s not like there’s gonna be any strippers,” I laughed. “just have fun!”
Apoclyto called her team over to her and whispered something to each of them, they nodded and ran out the door, saying they’d be back later.
“Oh fine then! But for now you need to rest!” he said, still not putting me down, “come on, we’re going to bed!”
Party poison wolf whistled.
“Not like that you pervert!” laughed Fun Ghoul.
Fun Ghoul carried me into our bedroom and kissed me passionately once we were away from the others.
“You have no idea how happy you’ve made me, I love you,” he said as he put me down on the bed.

Sarah’s/Sonic Sunrise’s POV

“Who was that?” asked Ryan as he pressed a damp cloth to Leslie’s forehead.
“Fun Ghoul and Crash Exploder, he knocked her up,” I explained.
“So he’s just doing this because he’s gonna be a dad?” he asked.
“No! They really love each other!” I said quickly.

“Wh-where am I?” came a weak voice. Leslie tried to sit up.
“Les!” I exclaimed, “Kobra, could you go get him some food?”
“Sure,” answered Kobra Kid.
“S-Sarah?” asked Leslie, “Is it really you?”
“Yeah Les, it’s okay, you’re safe here,” I reassured him.
“No. We’re not safe, no-where’s safe anymore,” he said before he passed out again.
