Gerard groaned as he woke up. The sickness was gone, but he was left with a head cold, and it sucked.
He coughed into his sleeve, and fell back on the covers. Lindsey popped in.
"Gee?"
"Mmm?"
"You feeling any better sweetie?"
"Nuh-uh. Stupid head cold"
She kissed his fingers, "Its OK."
He coughed again. Lindsey gave him a concerned glance.
"I'm fine." he said breathlessly.
She didn't want to believe he was OK. He had just gotten out of the hospital, a wweek ago.
He smiled at her.
"I'm gonna get the medicine Gerard."
He nodded and fell on the bed. He sighed. Why was this happening? it was like, one bad thing to another bad thing.
She came in with a spoonful of Nyquil.
Great, the stuff that gets most people high, or knocks them the hell out He sighed in his head.
He swallowed it, and felt his and Lindsey's bedroom fade, as he fell asleep into a medicated slumber.
