Madison had been crying on the bathroom floor for what felt like hours. The tears just kept coming, the burning in her throat growing more and more painful with each passing second. The sounds torn from her throat didn't even sound human.

She had buried the results from her tests in the bottom of her trash can as she tried to ignore the truth of what was inside of her. She was pregnant. She had been stupid. All it took was one night at a party and now she was pregnant. She was carrying Jon Walker's baby.

Her phone wouldn't stop vibrating. She didn't even need to check it to know that it was Jon texting/calling her repeatedly. What did he want from her? Did he want the bad news as well? What good would it do? They were in high school for goodness sake. Neither of them were prepared for a child. She wasn't prepared to go through child birth. She wasn't ready to take care of a living being. She had a fish for a week before she forgot about it and stopped feeding it.

Madison grabbed a lighter from her counter as she finally stood upon shaky legs. She grabbed a candle and lit it, letting the room's smell shift to vanilla instead of depressed teenage girl. Once she was done she sat back down, messing around with the lighter. She lit a piece of paper on fire that was in the trash can, allowing the fire to grow. She wanted the results to burn. She wanted the fire to take the answer she didn't want away. Unfortunately she wasn't stupid enough to believe it so easy. Despite her denial the baby would still come. You couldn't wish a living being away.

The fire caught, spreading quickly in the trash can. Madison sat, mesmerized... only to be brought to attention by the steady knocking from downstairs. She shook her head, grabbing a cup from her counter. Once she filled it with water she put out the fire in her trash can, finding herself bummed to see the fire extinguished.

Once Madison placed her hand on the door knob to the bathroom she got hit by a dizzy spell, the urge to sit becoming overwhelming. The knock downstairs wouldn't stop though. She kept walking down her hallway, reaching the stairs. She rubbed her forehead as a headache set in and with a shaky step she settled her foot on the top stair, slowly descending. It wasn't until four steps down that her vision began to get blurry from the headache and naseua.

One missed step and Madison's body crashed down the stairs. She let out a loud groan, falling in to sweet unconsciousness.

"I heard something." Jon said, sounding paranoid.

"You didn't hear anything." Brendon said, rolling his eyes. "You're just being creepy Jon. Maybe we should leave before she calls the cops or something. She obviously doesn't want to talk."

"No, I think Jon is right. I heard something too." Ryan stated, pressing his ear to the door.

Spencer rolled his eyes and stepped forward, trying the door.

It wasn't locked.

Spencer pushed the door open, revealing Madison's body... resting at the bottom of her stairs.

Jon rushed forward, "Call 911." He said, his voice shaking as he checked for a pulse.

Ryan's fingers began to exhibit clumsy symptoms as he attempted to call 911. It took five tries before the operator asked him what his emergency was.

Little did Jon know... This was just one problem.

He had many more to face when it came to Madison.

Madison's eyes flickered open, pain gripping her head. "What the hell?" Were her first words as she realized she was in an unfamiliar place.

"Oh sweety, you're awake!" A woman Madison had never met before gushed, rushing to her side.

"I-yeah." Madison awkwardly said before blurting out, "Do I know you?"

Then Jon stepped forward, smiling. "Hi Madison. This is my mother."

"Oh." Madison said, unsure as to why Jon and his mother would be with her.

"You're in the hospital." Mrs. Walker said. "But don't worry. The baby is going to be fine."

The baby. Madison closed her eyes, tears blinding her. Her baby. Her and Jon's baby. Jon knew. Jon's family knew. "My- do my parents know?" Madison choked out, concern lacing her words. Her parents would never understand.

Mrs. Walker grimaced and looked away as Madison reopened her eyes, waiting for an answer. "Jon, do my parents know?" She asked, turning to Jon for an answer.

Jon nodded, unsure of what to say. "They were here earlier." Was all that he could come up with.

"... and..." Madison's throat went dry as she thought of how disappointed they would be.

"Well honey, it seems... you'll be moving in with us." Mrs. Walker said, trying to act cheery despite the sadness of the situation.

"They kicked me out?" Madison asked, finding herself numb.

Jon nodded, "My dad went to get your things."

The room went silent as Madison cried. Now not only was she with child... her parents had abandoned her, so disappointed that they wouldn't even let her stay with them.

"I'll leave you two alone. You have a few things to discuss." Mrs. Walker said, standing. She shot Madison a reassuring smile before leaving the room. The door shutting echoed through out the quiet room.

Jon took a seat next to Madison's bed, letting out a huge sigh. "How are you feeling?" He finally asked.

"Like shit." Madison admitted.

Jon nodded, "Well you did fall down the stairs."

"No." Madison shook her head. "I feel like shit because I'm pregnant while in high school. I no longer have a home. My family abandoned me. I-I have nothing."

Jon closed his eyes for a second as he thought of what to say. Once he re-opened his eyes he placed his hand on Madison's. "You have my family and you have our baby growing inside of you. I'd say that's something."

"How are you not panicking?" Madison asked, staring at his hand that was resting upon hers.

"Ladies first." Jon joked, unsure of how he was remaining so calm. He had freaked out when he found Madison passed out at the bottom of her stairs but now... now he felt oddly calm. He knew there wasn't anything that he could do about her being pregnant. The only thing he could do was support her.

Madison smiled, "We're still kids... and yet, we are having a kid."

Jon nodded. "Hey, we are just getting a headstart in life."

Madison laughed. "You know, you're actually kind of funny."

"You're just figuring this out?" Jon asked, looking insulted.

"Thank you." She whispered, looking up in to his face. "I really needed to laugh. I don't know if I'll be able to do that anytime soon."

"Whys that?"

"I'm facing horrible pain and then a screaming child." Madison reminded him.

"Oh yeah." Jon frowned slightly before perking up. "I guess we have to party hard while you're pregnant because once you pop... well, screaming babies don't exactly make for a fun party."

Madison laughed. "Don't think I"ll be partying."

"Hey, we can party without alcohol and other fun things." Jon argued.

Madison rolled her eyes and leaned back, relaxing. "We don't know each other well enough to be doing this."

"Well, we will make a cute baby." Jon stated. "We don't have to know each other to know that."

"Babies are ugly." Madison stated.

"Not ours." Jon replied, trying to fight his own fears of the impending pregnancy.

"I wanted to go to college."

"I wanted to go to New York." Jon said, trying not to become too upset with his failing dreams.

"Why?" Madison asked, her interest piqued.

"Brendon, Ryan, Spencer and I are in a band... we were gonna try to make it. You know, spread our music?"

"Oh." Madison whispered.

"But it's okay. Ryan, Brendon, and Spencer can go without me." Jon hid his pain well.

Madison could still tell how much that would hurt him though. She didn't want Jon to give up his dreams. She didn't want him to stay just so that she could remind him every day of what she took from him.

"I could get an abortion." She blurted out, without thinking.

The look of horror upon Jon's face wasn't enough to make her change her mind.
