Danni's POV

I opened the door to see a smiling Brenden on the other side. “Hey!” he said.

“Hi,” I smiled at him. I ushered him inside. “What’s up?”

“I’m going to the mall with Ryan and a friend of ours, and I was wondering if you and Nikki wanted to go with us.” he said with a smile on his face.

“Wow, I’d love to. Let me go ask my dad. Have a seat,” I told him, heading downstairs. I found them on the couch watching a movie. “Dad, can I go to the mall with Brenden and Ryan?”

“Yea, what about your sister?” he said, sitting up.

“I was just gonna go ask her.”

“Okay.” He handed me some money and I gave him and Frank a hug before heading up to find Nikki. She was in her room, sitting on her bed listing to music.

“Nikki, wanna go to the mall with the neighbors?” I said, jumping on the bed next to her.

“Yea, sure. Let me put on some shoes.” She stood up and put on her orange Chucks and we headed downstairs to find Brenden still sitting on the couch. We followed Brenden outside to see Ryan sitting in his car. He looked up and smiled at us, but mainly at Nikki. I climbed in the back of the car, and Brenden followed. Nikki sat down beside Ryan in the front seat. She looked back at me and smiled.

We stepped out of the car, and we made our way to the mall. I noticed that Ryan kept glancing at Nikki, and I smiled to myself. I really hoped that Ryan was a good guy. Nikki deserved somebody to love her, and I know she wanted somebody to love as well.

I was brought out of my thoughts by Brenden tapping me on the shoulder, “I think he likes her. Ever since you guys moved in he hasn’t stopped talking about her.”

“Well, as long as he doesn’t turn out to be a mass murderer or something, I’m okay with that.” I laughed.

Brenden shook his head, “I can assure you that my brother is not a mass murderer or something.”

Nikki turned around with a worried expression on her face, “Who’s a mass murderer?”

“No one,” I laughed.

Ryan smiled, “Don’t worry. Even if there was a mass murderer around, I could take him.”

Brenden shook his head, “I’d like to see that happen, Mr. Macho.”

Nikki laughed, “Boys, I thought we were here to go shopping.”

Brenden nodded, “Nikki’s right. So, let’s start shopping!”

Brenden's POV

“Well, now that I have spent all my money, I think we should get going.” I said, walking out of a store carrying about ten bags.

Nikki nodded, “Tell me about it. I have no money left whatsoever.”

“Okay. Do you guys want to eat something first?” Ryan asked.

I turned around to look at him and I shook my head, “No, I’m not that hungry.”

Nikki and Danni both nodded their agreement.

Just as I turned back around, I ran into someone. A very good looking someone for that matter. He was a few inches taller than me and he had dark brown hair with the most amazing green eyes I had ever seen, “Sorry.” I managed to look away from his eyes for a second to notice that he was wearing a plain white t-shirt, revealing toned abs underneath, with a pair of plain blue jeans.

He smiled, “It’s okay. I should have been paying attention.” He stuck his hand out, “I’m Conner.”

I grabbed his hand and shook it, “I’m Brenden,” I motioned behind me, “That’s Ryan, Nikki and Danni.”

Conner dropped my hand, “Double date? That’s cool. Who’s with who?”

Ryan laughed, “It’s not a date. Me and my brother just wanted to bring our new neighbors out.”

Conner nodded, “That’s cool. My family is getting ready to move up to Oregon City because my Grandparents live there.”

I nodded, “Where are you from?”

“Los Angeles. Born and raised.” Conner laughed. His laugh was amazing. It made me want to melt... What the heck am I thinking? This guy is not only out of my league but he’s probably straight.

Nikki laughed, “That explains the tan.”

Conner shook his head, smiling, “You guys are pretty cool. We should hang out sometime after we get settled.” He paused, “Do any of you have a phone?”

Before anyone could say anything, I reached in my pocket and handed him my phone. He smiled and put his number in my phone. I felt like my heart was going to explode.

He handed my phone back to me and then pulled his phone out of his pocket. He handed it to me and I put my number in it. Again, It felt like my heart was going to explode. I managed to hand him is phone back without shaking too much.

He put it back in his pocket and smiled, “Well, I should get going. Text me sometime.”

I nodded and watched him as he walked away. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. He was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I was still in shock that he had spoken to me, let alone give my his phone number.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard Ryan’s voice. “I think someone needs to smack him.”

I turned around to face him, “Shut up.”

Nikki laughed, “I think someone has a crush on Conner.”

I sighed, “Whatever. What does it matter to you anyway?”

Nikki shook her head, “Go for it. He was totally checking you out the whole time. Not that you would have noticed... you were too busy ogling at him.”

“What! I was ogling? God, that’s so embarrassing. I really hope he didn’t notice...” I couldn’t believe it. The first hot guy I ever meet and I end up embarrassing myself. Perfect.

Ryan shook his head, “Come on, girls. Let’s go home before we give Brenden a heart attack.”
