Frank’s POV

I was woken up pretty abruptly by a shrill cry from the room next door. I looked at the clock. I think 7:30 must be the longest lie in I’ve had since we welcomed the girls into the world. It’s definitely worth it though. I don’t know how Jamia manages when I’m on tour; like seriously, that woman works wonders. And she’s my woman.

I pulled myself out of bed, realising Jamia was already up and about, and padded down the hallway to the nursery; a room decorated with vivid wallpaper, bright colours and of course completed with toys scattered across the carpet. I stumbled my way past the toys, wiping my eyes as I wakened to see the daylight, to find Lily standing up in her cot crying. I could just see a little smile peering through the waterfall of tears at the sight of her daddy. Being a dad makes me so proud. I met Jamia and thought my life was perfect, but now I’ve got Cherry and Lily it’s like the puzzle is completed. Those girls inspire me so much. My girls: Cherry, Lily and of course my amazing wonder woman, Jamia. I lifted Lily over the bars of the cot and hung her over my shoulder , peering into Cherry’s cot, amazed by how she managed to continue sleeping through the sounds that I unfortunately haven’t been able to ignore for the past year and a half of fatherhood.
“You hungry? I think my Lily wants food, right?” I whispered to my baby daughter.
She gurgled out a laugh, so I accept that as a yes. Padding back across the bedroom turned out to be easier said than done. So much for carefully leaving the room without waking Cherry. I tripped over one of the toys and it let out a loud beep followed by one of those really annoying tunes that you get on a kids’ toy. Why can toys not be simple like they were when I was a kid? Cherry stirred in her cot and I prepared for another typical day in the Iero household.
But then I remembered; today was not a typical day in the Iero household. Today was the get- together. It'd been so long since I’d seen everyone; I actually couldn’t want to see them more. Some people who I hadn’t seen in years now coming back to Jersey for the first time in what seemed like forever. And our new friends, Toyah and Aimee, of course.
I collected Cherry from her cradle and put her over my other shoulder. Man, my little babies were getting bigger every day and at a speedy rate. How could they get so big so quickly? I mean, I was always tiny, but when I hit 13 years old I just stopped. There’s no sign of this happening to Cherry and Lily any time soon though.
When I reached the bottom of the stairs and opened the door of the front room, I was greeted by a strong aroma, the aroma being that of burnt toast, another “typical” in the Iero household.
“Look, I have an excuse this time! I’ve been doing sandwiches for later when you should have been making your own breakfast!” said Jamia before I had a chance to even open my mouth.
Me? I’ve been up with your daughters for the past fifteen minutes!” I said with a smirk, planting a kiss onto my wife’s lips. I passed Lily to her mum as Cherry was still half asleep. Lily saw food on the table and her little chubby cheeks and grin lit up, dimples showing. I took over the job of making breakfast as Jamia fed our little girl and she ate up every bit as eagerly as the last bit. Cherry soon woke up and she was up next to get fed. Finally, mummy and daddy got to eat and we decided to chill out for a bit, take longer than we usually would. I think we deserved it after a hectic morning. And that was only just the beginning.

Aimee’s POV

Oh my gosh. 11:50am. Already? Whoa, we’d both overslept. Like, loads. I jumped out of bed, ran to the other bedroom and launched myself onto Toyah’s bed, being the good friend that I am.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Is it really necessary for you to wake me at this time of the morning?” I heard a croak from under the covers.
“What time? 11:50?”
The reply was a whack up the face with the duvet.
“You being serious?! Flip me. Already?!”
“Uh-huh.”
“Better get going then! We’ve got a party to go to today, remember?”
“Well, a “party”. It’s just a little...you know...”
“Party?”
“Fine yeah, forget I said anything.”
Toyah just laughed at me. I scowled back.
“Aw well, you need to get up and go!”
“I see what you did there!” Toyah said with a smirk.
“Yeah okay, but seriously get up!
“Fine. Fine, I’m getting up. I’m going. Watch me.”
But I was already halfway down the wooden staircase, getting hungrier and preparing myself for my first Jersey breakfast. No, not breakfast. Brunch. Sunday brunch. It had to be brunch at this time of day, and if Toyah didn’t shift her ass soon it would be too late for brunch too. I filled the kettle, flicked the switch and heard a yawn as a finally dressed Toyah came down behind me. It was obvious she was still half-asleep but I continued on. We both made our usual breakfasts that we would’ve had back home in the UK but they just tasted different in Jersey. That was a good thing though.
“What are you going to wear?” Toyah asked me, seating herself at the table.
“Not sure. Nothing too dressy. Just like jeans or leggings and a top or something. What about you?”
She shrugged back at me, still asleep. “What’s wrong with what I’m wearing now?”
“Nothing, I suppose.”
My phone vibrated. My phone comes everywhere with me, every minute of the day. It was Frank.
“You guys can come round now if you want. Frnkxo”
I sent a quick reply, saying we’d be round in about ten minutes, but we’d have to hurry to fulfil what I’d said.
“We can go round now, Toy, so I’m gonna get dressed quickly and then we’ll go, right?” I said scoffing my toast and wiping the crumbs from my mouth as I left the kitchen. But she was already doing her makeup, concentrating on not to smudge her eyeliner instead of listening to me. I reached the pinnacle of the stairs and entered the room that I now referred to as “my bedroom” and searched through the still unpacked case full of clothes for my purple skinny jeans and my favourite t-shirt. It was actually a t-shirt I designed myself, with hand drawn band logos and doodles related to My Chem, Misfits, Black Flag, LeATHERMØUTH and Mindless Self Indulgence. I put on my outfit and checked myself out in the mirror. Tight jeans and a tight t-shirt: my idea of a perfect outfit. I whipped out the eye makeup and then I was ready to hit the Jersey streets.
“Ready?” I asked Toyah when I reached the bottom of the staircase. She was bounding down the hallway, dying to get to our new friends’ house.
“Yes! Let’s go already!” she replied eagerly. I giggled as I opened the door and off we went on the trip to the house next door. And before we knew it we were at the heavy wooden door again. Toyah knocked, curious to know what was going on behind the door. We were greeted more quickly than the day before, by Frank giving us welcoming hugs like we had known him for years. He brought us to the front room once again where Jamia met us with her warm, welcoming smile. Cherry and Lily were crawling and trying to take their first steps across the wooden floor.
“Do you need a hand?” I asked Jamia, but she declined my offer. We were only there a few minutes, on the floor talking to Frank and playing with the girls, when the door was knocked. Frank got up to answer it with a grin on his face.
“Hold on one second,” he smirked. Toyah and I smiled back at him and continued talking to Cherry and Lily in those voices you talk to babies in. We heard familiar voices through the closed door of the front room, but neither of us could think where we’d heard the voices before. But when Frank opened the door and let the visitors into the room we remembered exactly who it was.
There was a handsome dark haired man in jeans and a shirt, an extremely attractive woman in black trousers, a blouse and waistcoat and a small girl, slightly older than the twins standing between her parents, holding their hands in hers.

It was Gerard, Lindsey and Bandit Way.
