Okay, this is just a small grammar thing, but I think I'll tell you now just because if I wait, then I'll just end up capslocking you on chapter 37.
Spoken clauses need to start with capitals.
Spoken clauses should end with punctuation.
"No, no, see, Kashmere isn't really a stripper. She's just an exhibitionist," explained Constantine.
As opposed to,
"no, no, see, Kashmere isn't really a stripper. She's just an exhibitionist" explained Constantine.
Does it matter when spoken? Nope. When written? Not hardly. But it's more of a butthurt grammar thing than anything else.Author's response
I'm glad you pointed that out. I'm quite the grammar nazi mysel but punctuation and capitals (i know, i know, like the base of what people call grammar) isn't always something I take the time to focus on.
I'm too much of a new generation kid who's used to typing fast on a keyboard while having intense, illiteral IM conversations..
If I ever get over being lazy, I'll be sure to go back and fix those things. And I'll keep this in mind while I edit the future chapters.
Ps. I loved the example about Kashmere the exhibitionist!
