This is awesome!
I think that you've got the setting just right for this story. Mikey's going to be out on his own with no one to run to if/when the jocks make up for lost time. I can really see why it's worrying Gerard so much; Mikey's still very fragile, still recovering from a lifetime of horrors so anything could set him off-balance again. It's not just the bullies that he'll have to cope with on his own but his bipolar too, something that I can really see him struggling with without Frank or Gerard there to help him.
I thought that Frank and Mikey were extremely cute together, all cuddled up with Mikey sleeping in Frank's arms. It was really way too adorable for me to handle.
Everything's going so well for them; Mikey's eating, gaining confidence and not cutting. It's almost as if something's just about to come along to ruin it all. And that something is most likely to come in the form of school.
Great first chapter and I'm dying to know what happens when Mikey returns without the protection of a brother and a boyfriend. Great job! :D
P.S. Here are some nicknames I could think of: Mikey-Mouse, Mikester, Mymikey and Way Two. If you're looking for something for Frank to call him, how about Sweetie or Cuteness or Baby Boyo? Sorry for the crappy suggestions. :)Author's response
Thank you!!! I'm sooo relieved that you liked it. You have definitely got the point about Gerard being worried as Mikey will be completely alone in school. I'm very happy this came through as it is a main point in this and future chapters. I'm really happy also that you can see how the bi-polar disorder will effect Mikey in school. This will play quite a part in the next few chapters. I'm quite happy that you thought Mikey and Frank were very cute because I don't think Im very good at writing you know like, fluff and stuff. So I'm happy you enjoyed it. The sense of something going terribly wrong is quite clear I think and I'm glad that you see it too.
You seem to have a very good grasp of the story so far and Im so delighted that you like it. I hope to have the next chapter up tomorrow night. Thanks for reading and leaving a really good review.
P.S. Those nicknames are very helpful and I really like 'Mymikey' and 'cuteness'. So thank you very much for them! Credit to you if they come up in the story! They most certainly weren't crappy! ;)The road to recovery. (Or so we think...)

This is great! I really liked that Mikey opened up to Gerard about things that used to happen to him. I'm glad that Gerard accepts that Mikey's bipolar disorder is just another part of him, even though it's hard for Gerard to see him go through it. I can't wait to see how Mikey handles school when Gerard and Frank are gone. I can't really think of any nicknames or anything even close to cute except for Mikearoni (like macaroni). Sorry I couldn't help with the nicknames, but great job! I can't wait to see more!!!Author's response
Thank you very much! I'm very happy you liked it. I'm also pleased to see that it's hard for Gerard to deal with Mikey's bi-polar disorder but he still accepts him none the less. I actually really like that nickname! It's so clever! I shall probably use that (but not immediately...) Thank you very much for it. I really appreciate the review! I will have a chapter up soon enough tonight. :)
