"Hey darling, how are you feeling today?" a woman asked, snapping Ashley out of his dream again.

"Mum? What are you doing here? Why aren't you in Reading?" Ashley asked, struggling to sit up straight.

"I heard about what happened. As soon as I found out I jumped straight on the train" she said, her smile tinged with sadness.

"I miss him mum" Ashley cried, reaching up to give Karen a hug.

"I know you do darling" Karen replied, pulling him tight.

"No, you don't understand! I love him so fucking much! How can he be dead?" Ash shouted.

"Shh, its okay. I know how much you loved him" his mum soothed, a single tear running down her face.

"We had everything going for us. We both had great jobs, a good house, we were even thinking about adopting a child!" Ashley panted, his breathing out of control.

Ashley could see the hurt in his mothers eyes as she realised she never had another chance to get a grandchild. She Knew Ashley would never love anyone as much as he had loved Stefan.

She didn't say anything though, she just hugged him until he eventually fell asleep.
