You approached your house. You were still cuddled into Gerard's side, and you didn't want to leave him. Your head still hurt like a bitch, and it was getting a little worse. You grimaced as you closed in on your porch, and your hand quickly went up to rub the source of your misery. He looked down at you and noticed your contorted features, and asked immediately if anyone was home to take care of you. Your parents were working late, and you didn't have a brother or sister to watch you, or any other close relatives in the neighborhood. He offered to help, and you were surprised by his sudden compassion. You nodded, and opened the door. Your puppies tackled you as soon as you walked in, and when they were done, they went to greet the visitor. They warmed up nicely to him, and played with him as you took of your coat, scarf, shoes, etc. The back of your head was starting to calm down but the pain was still there. You went to lie down on your couch, and Sweet Pea stopped attacking Gerard's shoelace and came over to you. She barked once and climbed onto the couch next to you. She nuzzled onto the pillow you were resting on, and started licking the place where your head collided with wood. You knew that this was good for you, so you just let her stay there. Once Gerard had put his snow covered ensemble beside yours, he came over and laughed, petting your other pup and asking if you wanted anything. "Some ice for my head and something to keep me warm would be nice..." you trailed off as he walked into your kitchen and returned with a towel wrapped around ice. He gave it to you and asked if you had any blankets anywhere. You pointed towards your room and he smiled and got you one. It was your favorite, because it reminded you of him. It had a spider stitched onto it, but was quilted underneath, with hearts of different colors and toxic signs. You knew it was incredibly cheesy and a bit strange and distasteful, but it was still something you loved. He wrapped it around you gingerly, and when his fingers brushed your neck, you felt warmth surge through you. It felt wonderful, and you couldn't help but frown when he moved away. You pressed the ice to the wound once Sweet Pea had retreated to her favorite rubber bone and Lily wandered off into the house, and he asked if you wanted anything else. You knew you only wanted one more thing, but you were suddenly too afraid to ask. You wanted him, you wanted him to be next to you, to be in his arms and to sleep like that, tucked into his embrace. So you simply shook your head and patted the place next to you for him to sit down. You smiled when he did, and he looked away for a minute, looking a little embarrassed. The ice felt good, and the blanket kept the rest of you from freezing. You asked him if he wanted to do something, and he suggested a movie. You ended up watching a comedy about a father who went to the extreme to be with his three children after being divorced and having no custody over them whatsoever. It was very lighthearted, and you both enjoyed it immensely. At some point, Gerard started shivering, and you pulled the edges of the blanket over him and moved a little closer. You both sipped hot chocolate and heard the windows rattling from the sudden storm outside. The wind was strong, and the snow was piling. You were worried that he wouldn't be able to get home in this weather, considering he lived a respectable distance from your own home. Your parents may have had to rent a room in the motels near their work places, and this was confirmed by two messages sent to your phone. You two would be alone tonight. You blushed at the thought, but immediately shooed it away. You didn't mean like THAT but the thought of sleeping in the same house as him frightened you. You wondered where he would sleep, and you remembered that your couch pulled out. You'd give him some pillows and a blanket and he would be fine. You hoped he wouldn't be cold. Or uncomfortable... You would give him something to sleep in, but you were a lot smaller than him and it would be impossible. All you had was one over-sized shirt, that would have to do. You sighed quietly, knowing that you were a complete idiot and you were getting worked up for nothing, and he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you onto his lap, adjusting the blanket to keep you two together. Your face burned, and you knew he could see it, but he just nuzzled your cheek and gave you a small kiss. He whispered in your ear "Was that okay?" and you were just too paralyzed to respond. What was this? He bit his lip and released you, taking you from being pressed against his warm body to being on the couch. Your heart fell, and you could see his embarrassment and worry. You wrapped your arms around his neck and climbed back onto him, brushing your lips briefly onto his. Your face was still red, and you curled into him, tugging the blanket to pull you two together tightly. You settled with your arms resting around his waist, and your head buried in his chest. your legs were pulled up and lay limp between his. He pulled you even closer, if it was somehow possible, and squeezed you gently. He kissed the top of your head, lingering there, and the two of you closed your eyes and fell asleep.
