- New Years Eve 1984 -
I was having a New Years Eve party in me and Izzy's apartment, which I'd recently moved back into. I also started my new job, which was pretty much the only way I was able to throw this party, with the new money I made. I thought maybe it wouldn't be super crazy and hectic if I just invited Axl, Gina, Izzy, and the members of Hollywood Rose...but I suppose since they all knew I didn't have any other friends, everyone decided to invite all their friends. So it went from being about 6 people to about 60 people all packed into the little apartment. "Okay, there's defiantly more of an outturn than I expected..." I said to Izzy as we looked on at all the people as we stood at the food table "Mmm, yeah, there's defiantly, mmmff...more than we expected," Izzy said as he crammed Cheetos into his mouth "Geez when was the last time you ate? Cause you're destroying those Cheetos!" I said, giggling "Hey, we both know this food will be gone well before it hits midnight, so I may as well pack it in," Izzy replied as he picked up a chicken wing "Yeah I suppose," I said, then Izzy looked at me kinda weird "What?" I asked "Your face...you can move it, and you're not talking weird anymore!" Izzy exclaimed. I touched my face and realized that I COULD move it "Oh my gosh!" I said...normally "Oh Izzy it's back! I'm back! The....stuff...my face! I can!" I yelled, jumping up and down and freaking out, I hugged Izzy "This is so awesome!" I said, Izzy laughed "Yeah it is,". I started jumping up and down again, but then someone put their hands around my waist and stopped me from jumping "Careful, your leg is still out," I looked up/to the side and I saw Axl standing there, and when I saw his look I tried desperately not to laugh or swoon. He had his hair all hairsprayed up and he was wearing makeup. It was really hot but yet really funny. "Oh wow Axl, you look...hot," I said, trying to sound like I was playing with him "Yeah, I know," Axl said shrugging, I laughed and Axl let go of me and started laughing too. "Aaaaaxlllll!!!!" I heard someone yell happily Axl looked around and then smiled to someone behind me, I looked around too and a guy was walking up to us "Hey Axl, how you doing?" he said as he embraced Axl in a hug "Good, and you?" Axl asked "I'm doing fine," the guy said. Axl turned to me "Hey Izzy, this is my buddy Shannon Hoon, Shannon, this is my friend Izzy Kikx," he said "Nice to meet you Shannon," I said as I extended my hand for a shake "Yeah, nice to meet you too, Izzy," he said "Hey isn't there a guy in Axl's band named Izzy?" he asked me "Yeah, so people usually call me Iz now," I replied "Oh okay, cool," Shannon said. Then he stepped back to Axl "Is that your friend or GIRLfriend," he said in a loud whisper, Axl laughed and swatted him lightly on the shoulder "No...this...this is my girlfriend," he said as he extended his arm out and waved Gina over, she ran over to him and he hugged her "Oh okay," Shannon said. Axl and and Gina started making out, I suppose to show that they were a couple, I was actually glad to see they were being affectionate to each other. Axl had actually been acting better and more happy over the past few days and I hope he keeps it up. Axl and Gina wandered off and so had Izzy, so it was just me and Shannon "So, how long have you known Axl?" I asked him, he turned to me "Hmm? Oh! I've known I'm for about 2 years, a year and a half maybe, probably almost 2 years," he answered "Oh yeah, cool," I said "And you?" he asked "Oh, I've known him for a while...like, man, I don't even know, like 6 years or so," I said "Oh wow, you look really young though," Shannon said "Uh yeah, I'm 17, but I'm gonna be 18 on January 18th," "Oh cool," "So...when you turn 18, do you maybe wanna go on a date?" I looked at Shannon...he wasn't that attractive to me and he seemed like he had a ridiculous personality "Uhhh..." I replied "You don't have to," he said "Yeah, I'm gonna pass, I'm sorry Shannon," I said as I patted him on the shoulder. "Ah, it's okay," he said, then he walked off. I sighed, I hope I wasn't too mean to him, but I really didn't think he'd be that great boyfriend material...then again, how exactly would Axl be good boyfriend material? I looked over at Axl who was talking with Izzy and Gina in a corner and sighed, they looked so happy, Axl and Gina, but I wondered if it was just a show for the people...or for me because Axl didn't want to make me feel bad or something. "IZZZZY!!" I heard someone exclaim, I looked up and saw the current drummer of Hollywood Rose standing there "Oh Steven! Hi!" I said, he walked around the table, shakily, I could tell he was drunk or on drugs "Oh my gosh, Izzy...I..Isabel...I-I-zzy! I haven't seen you in a while? H-how arrre you?" he slurred as he hugged me, leaning all his weight on me "Whoa! I'm fine Steven...and you?" I asked as I peeled him off me "I..I'm great, y'know, I'm just so awesome and great, and this is just so awesome, I mean...yea, I love parties! New years parties, college parties, birthday parties, pool parties..." Steven slurred as he wobbled back and forth "Oh that's great, I guess you're enjoying yourself then?" I asked politely "Oh yeah, man, this...this i-i-is the best party I've been to in my life," he said "Oh that's great, glad you're enjoying yourself, help yourself to some food if you want," I said as I started to walk away "Oh sure, thanks," he said as he picked up a barbecue chicken wing. I wandered around for a while, slowly, my leg was still hurting, but not a whole lot. I looked at the clock, it was only 10:00, still a while away from midnight. Everything felt really cramped and claustrophobic, plus there was cigarette smoke everywhere, so I decided to go outside for a second "Hey Axl? I'm gonna step out for a minute," I told Axl once I located him "Okay," he said, nodding. I smiled and then left, I took the elevator downstairs and walked out the front door. The air was currently free of smoke or garbage smell, so that was nice. But it was dark and I immediately got freaked out because I didn't know what type of freaks could be out here at dark. "Want some company?" I heard Axl's voice say, I looked to the right and saw Axl standing there, the tip of his cigarette glowing "Sure," I said. Axl came and leaned against the wall next to me, it was silent for a few minutes before Axl finally said something "Isabel?" he whispered into my ear "Yeah?" I asked "I hope you know how sorry I am for doing those horrible things to you. I didn't mean it, I was just so mad at Gina and myself that I took it out on you. And I'm so, so sorry, from the bottom of my heart," Axl said, still whispering into my ear "I know Axl, and I forgive you, I'd already forgiven you before you even asked for it," I said as I patted his head and held onto his hair. Axl slid over so he was standing in front of me, his body pressed against mine, he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me "I'm so, so sorry," he whispered as he breathed on my neck. I hugged him back "I forgive you Axl, you have nothing to worry about. I'm never going to leave you," I said, Axl kissed my neck "Never?" he asked "Never," I said. Axl brought his head up and looked me in the eyes, and then he brought his lips down on mine, giving me sweet little kisses on the lips and cheeks, soon the kisses were prolonged to the point where it seemed like he was sucking on my cheek. This wasn't the first time we kissed, when we first met me and Axl were starting to explore our sexuality...so there was a lot of kissing, but we never had sex or even saw each other naked.
