A/N: I know it’s a bit late but I just had to express my love for Tomorrow’s Money and Boy Division, they are even better than I expected which means they are so awesome they could cause serious injuries to my ovaries. Also, the bass line in Tomorrow’s Money is just perfect. Also, I went to Mindless Self Indulgence on Saturday and they fucking rocked!
Anyway, that fangirl moment is out of the way so you can now commence reading this chapter, I hope you enjoy

Kids, as you know I’d already had an eventful couple of days; I set a book on fire thus landing me in detention where I met your father and was asked to join him at the lake. Taking your aunt with me, I went to the lake and met some of his friends and your cough crazy cough uncle. He then asked me out later that night and we shared an amazing night and that was the start of our relationship, yet I still managed to find something to freak out about on Monday morning…

“Are you ready?” Molly says as soon as I open the door, standing casually with hands in her pockets, legs crossed and leaning on the pillar

“Yes, kind of, no…” I trail off, looking at her with wide eyes. Molly just sighs and smirks

“You can’t seriously be telling me you are nervous about seeing Gerard?” She asks, laughing lightly. I nod before she continues, “Caitlin, you’ve seen him so much this weekend, how are you nervous?” She stands up straight and takes a step forwards

“I don’t know, I honestly don’t know” I sigh heavily and start to pull my purple converse on

“There is no reason to be nervous, you have managed to keep him so far, why would he leave you now? He obviously likes you a lot” I stand up straight and Molly puts her hand on my shoulder “Believe me” She adds with a little nod.

“Fine” I say rolling my eyes “But I swear to Jesus if you are wrong I am blaming you”

“That’s fine because I know that I am right, now let’s go, Gerard is awaiting your arrival” Molly says, gesturing towards the door and starting to walk towards it. I follow her, stopping in front of the door, taking and deep breath and walking through it. In join Molly up the path and we start walking down the street

“What lessons do we have today?” Molly asks

“Erm” I mumble, shuffling in my bag to find my timetable. I pull out an old, ripped piece of paper. I unfold it and find the right day “Free period” I start

“Great, I forgot to do my maths homework” Molly comments

“Math”

“Shit”

“Science”

“Shit”

“PE”

“Could be worse” Molly says shrugging

“English”

“Shit”

“Drama”

“That’s better”

“And art” I finish, sighing

“Sweet!” Molly adds with a little clap “Today should be good, minus the first three lessons”

“Yeah they’re pretty bad but last night I realised that the other girls are in our drama class,” I point out

“I thought I recognised them! Oh great, we can get to know them more” I nod “And plus, Gerard’s in your math class so it isn’t too bad for you” She adds, poking me in the shoulder and I blush at the thought of it

“Oh yeah, today will definitely be good then” I agree, smiling at the thought of it. We carry on walking, masses of students appearing as we near school. The closer I get, the more excitement bubbles up inside me taking the place of my nerves from earlier. We walk through the parking lot and start to head towards our homeroom. Molly suddenly stops and points

“Hey, there they are” She states “Come on” Molly goes to grab my arm to pull me over but I start walking before she can.

“I’m guessing you’re no longer nervous to see Gee?” She asks. I shake my head and smile, walking over to the big group. Gerard spots me and turns around, smiling and pulling me in for a tight hug as soon as I reach him

“Hey guys” I hear Molly say from behind Gerard. I pull away and smile at him, standing back to see everyone else greeting us back

“I was just telling these guys that you two are in our drama class later” Rebecca informs us pointing to the rest of the girls

“Oh yeah, I said that earlier, maybe we could all work together?” I ask

“Yeah, it would be way better than the usual bitches we are stuck with” Ashlie says, rolling her eyes

“I agree, they’re so controlling, they don’t even know what they are on about half the time” Penina adds

“Well, hopefully we can fix that but I have to warn you, I have the acting skill of a Kardashian, just saying” Molly says, holding her hands up. Everyone laughs before Bob interrupts

“Wait, I just realised where I recognise you from” He says, pointing to Molly before continuing “Weren’t you Mrs Claus in a school play in 4th grade?” She looks down and blushes before letting out a heavy sigh and answering

“Yes, yes I was. I don’t like talking about it; it was quite embarrassing”

“Well, you can’t be that bad if you were in a school play” Ray says

“Oh, you didn’t see it, even my mom found it hard to find something good about it” She says making Ray laugh, “Don’t laugh! I find it quite tragic actually” She adds, putting a hand to her forehead and looking away

“Great performance, ten out of ten” Frank says sarcastically, clapping. The whole group join in. Molly takes a bow

“Thank you, I’ll be waiting patiently for my oscar”

We all hear the bell ring before letting out a synchronized groan

“For fucks sake” Abbie mutters “I hate free period, it’s boring”

“Come on, it’ll be okay” Bob says, putting his arm around her shoulders. They wave goodbye and walk away with Ray, Rebecca and Penina

“We better go too, see you later guys” Mikey waves, taking Ashlie’s hand and leading her away. We all start to walk towards our room. Gerard holds his hand up for me to take and we go ahead and Molly and Frank lag behind, talking.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we eventually got to homeroom, the hour was spent doing homework quietly and responsibly…Haha I’m joking, we spent the hour talking, discussing the latest murder that had occurred overnight in New Jersey, hearing Molly complain about the pointlessness that is math, with reasons, and seeing who could make the best paper airplane. The first few lessons went quick and I actually enjoyed math because Gerard sat next to me and Bob almost knocked the teacher out while doing a very accurate impression of Animal. Eventually, it was time for drama class and the whole “bonding time with the other girls” thing seemed likely from the start…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We all take our seats in the auditorium and wait for the teacher to start speaking. She walks to the middle of the stage and starts

“Okay class, if you could all pay attention BILLY, SHUT UP” I jump slightly when she shouts “Right, we have a lot of preparation to do for the end of year play which will be Romeo and Juliet”

“Oh for fucks sake” Ashlie mutters

“What was that Miss Harlequin?” The teacher asks, raising her eyebrow at Ashlie

“It’s so cliché, can’t we do something else?” Ashlie asks

“No, it has been chosen” The teacher answers before continuing “Now we will need people to help set up and some to be in the band. You can come down to the front and put your name down by what you would like to do. If you would like to audition, here is the separate sheet” She holds up the sheet “Get to it” She claps her hands and goes back to her desk

“Anyone else doing band? I can’t be assed to set up,” Molly asks, turning to all of us. Me, Penina and Ashlie shake our heads and Molly looks disappointed

“I will” Rebecca answers

“Yeah, me too” Abbie says

“Great, I won’t be alone, let’s go put our names down” They get up and walk down to the front

“I guess it’s us three on set up duty then” Penina says smiling

“What about everyone else in the class?” I ask confused, standing up and walking down to the front with them

“Take a look around, we’re surrounded by people who will refuse to do anything unless they are in the play.” Ashlie answers gesturing to the rest of the class

“Oh yeah” I say, shrugging “Oh well, it can’t be that hard”

Of course it can be that hard! Oh my god.
