Ch 25 I know this hurts, it was meant to. 


Josh's POV

I wake up, and am actually feeling better. The nurse comes in, with a fake plastic smile. 

I glare at her.

"Cheer up! You have visitors."

Visitors?

I look around, and I am suddenly attacked by random hugs. 

Yep. Matt, Mike, and Ian are here. 

"Hey dude! How you doing?" Ian asks. 

"Oh man," Matt exclaims. "He was horrible about two days ago!" 

Ian looks at me. 

"I was puking a bunch, so I got my appendix out." 

Mike looks at me, "Josh. You're shaking. You okay?" 


Am I okay?! I'm in fucking rehab dude! 

"Ah, yeah. I'm fine." I say quickly.

Mike looks at me next. 

"Dude, you're really fucking skinny. You don't look fine at all." 

I look at my arms, which are basically skin and bones. I haven't purged in the last two weeks, and the withdrawals are making it worse. I give him am odd look. 

"Oh god it's coming!" I moan. 

"Wow, that took the south route right there!" Matt exclaims. 

"Fuck off." I mutter, before throwing up.  Matt sighs, as Mike gets me a water bottle. Ian looks at me. 

"Josh? When are ya gettin outta here?" 

"In about a month." I groan, "Jesus I can't fuckin wait!" 

"We'll, MTrench can't go on without thier frontman right?" 

I nod, "Yeah. I know. I've written some new shit, you should check it out." 

I pull a ratty notebook from my duffel bag.  
Matt flips through it, widening his eyes.

"Holy shit dude!" Matt gasps. 

I smile slightly, "You like?"

Matt nods enthuseastiy. Mike quickly grabs the notebook. His eyes widen.

"Jesus Josh! You writing a fucking novel?!" 

I smile a bit more. 

Finally Ian looks at the ratty notebook. He looks at me. 

"You're fucking bulimic?" He asks in a calm voice that scares the shit out of me. 

Shit.
