Can I just say that I am so sorry that I took a while to upload this; I know in the last chapter in the author's note that I would have this chapter uploaded quicker, when in fact it has taken longer. This week, I have been on morning shifts at work and I hate them, as they drain me physically and mentally. Also I have been feeling unwell this week, have been for the past couple of weeks. So I am so sorry that it has taken me a while to upload this. But here is chapter 3 and I hope you guys like it!
Cold; so very cold
The rain still falls, like icy bullets; the sidewalks scattered with big puddles. Lightning still flickers and dances across the sky. The thunder rumbles throughout the night sky
Soaked; clothes soaked through and heavy, water droplets rolling down off hair, across skin and falling to the already drenched ground
Uncontrollable shivering erupts like fireworks through his body; shuddery breaths, lungs burning and legs aching and weak from running so far. Eyes sore and tired from crying so hard
Staggering blindly, he collapses into an alley, falling to his knees, crumpling down to the ground like discarded newspaper
Tired; so very tired. Every nerve in his body numb. Eyes become heavy
A bright flash, followed by the loud, booming thunder.
Thoughts swirl around his mind; unwanted; unloved; nobody cares anymore. I have no one. I am alone.
Darkness; the last thing he sees is the dirty brick wall in front of him, followed by the sound of a car driving down the street, accompanied by the low rumbling thunder, as his eyes slip close and he falls into unconsciousness

Gerard’s POV
No sooner had we walked into the dimly lit and slightly run down hall hallway of the apartment block, the sound of music, pounding through the walls reached my ears. After climbing several sets of stairs, Alicia had stopped in front of a door, hands still firmly clamped around Mikey’s arms. Lynz knocked on the door and stood back, waiting. After a few moments, the door swung open, music bellowing out into the hallway. There, in the doorway, stood a woman, dressed as Sally from one of my favourite movies; The Nightmare Before Christmas. Her hair was neatly held back in place, face pale and eyes ringed darkly and fake stitch marks running across her face and arms. She grinned brightly
“Bitch! Been looking for you!” she screamed loudly, grabbing hold of Lynz’s arm and dragging her inside
“Whoa!” Lyn-z called out, “Chill out Jamia!” Lyn-z let herself get dragged into the apartment flat. Ray nudged Bob
“Dude, I don’t think you’ve got a chance with her,” Ray said. Bob scowled slightly
“Never know, she might be Bi,” Bob huffed out. I rolled my eyes as Alicia giggled, before leading Mikey into the apartment. We followed suit, with ray closing the door behind him. We stood together as a three, Mikey now nowhere to be seen. If the music was any louder, I think my ears would be bleeding. The room is decorated with orange fairy lights and orange and purple tinsel. Fake cobwebs decorate the room, with fake plastic spiders hanging from them. The room is filled with ghosts, ghouls, vampires, Frankenstein’s, zombies, teenagers covered in fake blood, movie characters and cartoon characters, laughing and chatting away in small groups. Others were sat around, smoking and drinking. A few couples were scattered about, ravishing each other’s faces, not caring who could see. There were a few others that were ‘attempting’ to dance along to the music, and others, that were wondering around, pulling tricks on one another. I spotted bowls, scattered around the room, filled with various candy and snacks. Suddenly, I felt fairly awkward standing here
“I say we get a drink,” Bob spoke up, his voice cutting across the music. I nodded my head in agreement. Bob turned to look at Ray
“What about you Toro?” No response. He stood, staring ahead, his gaze transfixed on something
“Ray?! I asked. Still nothing. Bob frowned a second
“Yo, puffhead,” Bob said, shoving Ray’s arm. Still no response. Bob glanced at me and I shrugged my shoulders. Bob sighed before punching Ray’s arm and waving his hand frantically in Ray’s face
“Huh?” Ray snapped his head around, looking rather startled, before frowning and rubbing his arm
“The hell is up with you?” Bob asked
“What?” Ray looked confused
“You zoned out,” I stated. Ray raised an eyebrow quizzically at both me and Bob
“Do you want a drink?” Bob asked, crossing his arms across his chest
“Um,” Ray hummed, before looking away again
“Seriously, what is he staring at?” I asked glancing around. Bob glanced around too, before a look of recognition settled onto his face and he began to smirk
“Who’d you think he’s seen,” Bob mumbled. Finally, my gaze settled upon the brunette, stood amongst a group of girls and boys, laughing away; Christa. Before I got to say anything, Ray was stumbling forwards, over towards Christa. Bob began laughing, as Ray stumbled over to her, the group stopping mid-conversation to look at him. I shook my head, as Christa giggled at him, while he blushed
“Dude needs to man up,” Bob chuckled. I watched as Bob glanced over to where Lyn-z was stood, giggling away with, that other girl; Jamia? I can’t remember. Bob looks back around at me and smiles sheepishly
“Come on, let’s go get our drinks.” Bob sets off further into the apartment. Why do I get the feeling, I’m going to end up being sat all by myself somewhere in a corner, while my brother and two best friends are off somewhere with someone. I sigh before following after Bob, who is stood at a table, staring at the various bottles and cans. I pick up a can, not really caring too much as to what it was; I don’t plan on drinking too much, especially after what happened at Mikey’s 18th birthday. I shudder slightly at the memory
“Hmmm,” Bob hums out. I shake my head, smiling fondly as Bob’s eyes linger between two different cans
“You know, you could always have one now and then the other later,” I said
“I know, just which one do I have first?” Bob said, looking up, his eyes staring past my shoulder. I hear laughter and turn around, in time, for someone to bump straight into me; I stumble backwards, hitting my hip rather painfully on the side of the table. I fell Bob grab hold of me and keep me on my feet as the stranger in front of me curses at the spilled contents of his drink. His head snaps up and his icy blue eyes, stare coldly into mine
“The fuck!? You spilled my drink you ass!” he snapped coldly. I felt Bob’s grip on my arms get slightly tighter
“I’m sorry, I didn’t-”
“No Gerard, you shouldn’t have to apologise for this assholes own clumsiness,” Bob spoke up, looking at me first, before glaring at the other guy. The people around us had gone quiet
“What did you just call me?” the guy snapped
“You heard me. Or are you deaf?” Bob took a step in front of me. The guy looked around behind him, at the four people that stood with him. He turned around to face Bob again
“I’m not deaf,” the guy half laughed, but narrowed his eyes at Bob
“Good, then you should be able to remember what I say, unless you’re forgetful too as well as clumsy,” Bob spoke with confidence, staring this guy down. It was rather comical, watching the guy’s expression, change from looking lost, then confused, then understanding, shock and then anger. I had to bite my tongue to stop myself from laughing
“The hell?” the guy snarled, fist clenching; this can’t be good
“And stupid,” Bob said, also clenching his fists and raising them slightly
“That’s it! You’re going down!” the guy snapped, but before he or Bob could even lunge forward at one another, Lyn-z appeared between the two, face hard and cold, staring the guy down
“Drop it Leto,” she hissed. The guy, Leto, narrowed his eye’s at Lyn-z
“Or what?” Leto demanded
“I’ll high-tail your ass out of here,” came another female voice. She too stood, her face hard looking, while her hands were on her hips. Her hair pulled back tightly, her brown eyes narrowing at Leto
“This guy giving you problems?” came another voice, this time male. I look around, to see someone, dressed as the joker, which I was highly impressed with
“Sure is Mike, making a scene over his own stupidity,” the woman replied
“I suggest you leave, before I set Tre on you,” Mike said raising an eyebrow at Leto. Leto looked around at everyone, his eyes resting on me. He sneered at me before turning on his heel and walking away
“Dick,” Lyn-z mumbled, turning around. Her face softened as she smiled at Bob and leaned past him to grab two bottles, before walking away, his friends in tow and out of sight
“Are you guys ok?” the woman asked
“Fine,” Bob said, while I nodded my head
“Sorry about him, he’s just-”
“An obnoxious, arrogant twat,” Ray said, cutting across the woman. The woman and Mike chuckled at Ray’s comment
“Couldn’t have put it any better myself,” the woman smiled
“Billie’s looking for you Adrienne,” Mike said. The woman, Adrienne nodded her head, smiled one last time before walking off and Mike disappeared again
“Are you ok?” Ray asked me
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I sigh out, rubbing my hip a little. Ray smiled, before grabbing a drink for himself
“Bob, you really didn’t have to do that,” I said
“Don’t be stupid! You honestly think that I’d let that prick push you around like that and make you apologise for something that was entirely his fault?” Bob ranted
“But-”
“No but’s! Like I always say, I’ve got your back, next time, if he gives you anymore trouble, I’ll make sure he doesn’t get back up off the ground,” Bob stuck his nose up in the air proudly, making me chuckle
“Bob, chill out!” Ray laughed
“Thanks,” I smile sheepishly at him
Just then, Mikey stumbled over, knocking into Ray slightly. I smirked at him; he looked a little dishevelled and flustered
“Having fun?” Bob asked innocently, though you could see a cheeky glint in his eye
“Fun? Uh yeah, fun,” Mikey mumbled, his cheeks flushing pink. I laughed as Mikey ruffled up his hair. Mikey shoved Ray, making us laugh. Bob picked a drink up and so did Mikey, before we moved over to a quiet area in the room, and chatted away quietly amongst ourselves, before Alicia appeared by Mikey’s side
“Hey, you guys met Billie yet?” she asked
“Not yet,” I said
“I’ll introduce you,” Alicia chuckled, tugging Mikey by the arm. We followed her, weaving around people in the room
“Dude, you’re going to trip over your own tongue in a minute,” Bob spoke up, shoving Ray in the back. I chuckled, as he turned away from looking at Christa, scowling at Bob. Bob smiled at him
“Hey Billie!” Alicia called out, coming to a stop. In a different room, sat a guy, with black hair, covered by a police man’s hat, dressed in black, with a red feather boa draped across his shoulders. His green eyes rimmed slightly with eye liner, stare up at us, a smile playing on his face. His arm was wrapped around Adrienne. Mike stood nearby, with a girl by his side, a drink in his hand and another was leaning against a wall
“S’up Alicia?” Billie greeted waving slightly
“Dude, these are my friends, this is Mikey,” Alicia pushed Mikey forward slightly
“Loving the face,” Billie laughed. Mikey smiled awkwardly, looking round at me
“The dude with the huge-ass hair is Ray.” Ray raised a hand up and half saluted, and Billie saluted back, giggling slightly, which made me giggle as well
“The giant teddy bear is Bob,” Alicia smirked, glancing at Bob, making me, Mikey and Ray snigger. Bob pouted and folded his arms across his chest. Billie, Mike, Adrienna and the girl laughed
“And the vampire, is Gerard,” Alicia smiled. I half smiled and shuffled on my feet a little
“Awesome, nice to meet you,” Billie grinned at everyone, attempting to get up from where he was sat, having Adrienne push him a little
“I’m Billie as you know, this is Adrienne, my girl,” Billie pointed towards Adrienne; a faint dusting of pink came to her cheeks as she giggled
“The dude in the huge pirates hat is Jason,” Billie said. Jason waved and pushed himself off the wall
“I’m gonna go find Janna,” he said walking past us, all the while smiling
“That lovely lady there, is Brittney,” Billie waved at the girl stood next to Mike, who waved at us
“And this ‘joker’,” Billie laughed at his own joke, “Is Mike.”
“Already met them, well two of them,” Mike said looking at me and Bob
“Oh?” Billie asked, eyebrow raised slightly
“Yeah, Jared Leto was giving them grief for nothing,” Mike shrugged and Billie scowled a little
“Yeah,” Adrienne mumbled. Mikey turned and looked at me, raising his eyebrow
“The dick wasn’t looking where he was going, walked straight into my buddy here and spilt his drink, and then tried to pin the blame on Gerard,” Bob said, swinging his arm around my shoulder
“Oh Jesus, I’m sorry man, knew I shouldn’t have let that dick come, he’s always creating drama, the self-centred prick,” Billie said, smiling sympathetically
“Don’t worry about it,” I said back shrugging Bob’s arm off from around my shoulder
“Who’s a self-centred prick?” came another voice from behind us. We turned, to see another guy, dressed as a Mountie
“Jared, been going around picking on my new buddies here,” Billie said, smiling. The guy moved forwards towards Alicia and began to sniff her hair, making her laugh. The guy pushed her away a little and went up to ray, pulling on his hair a little, before smelling it a little. I chuckled as Mikey shuffled to hide behind Alicia a little
“That’s Tré,” Mike laughed as Tre walked up to me
“Dude, you’re looking a little pale,” Tré said
“Uh, that’s because I’m a vampire,” I chuckle. Tré screamed and hid behind Bob. Bob’s eyebrows rose in amusement, before he jumped as Tré began to sniff him too
“Tré, have you been snorting doughnut sprinkles again?” Billie asked, his voice laced with amusement. I laughed as Tré popped up
“Maybe,” he grinned, before running and diving at Billie
“Tré!! Get off me!” Billie cried out, as he and Tré both tumbled to the floor in a heap, with laughter echoing around the room
Narrator’s POV
Jason returned about half an hour later, a girl, named Janna hanging off his arm, giggling away. The rain had started to come down again, this time slightly heavier than earlier, the sky’s an eerie orange colour. Gerard, Ray, Bob and Mikey stayed together, with Alicia staying by Mikey’s side the whole time. Ray’s attention was continually distracted, every time he caught sight of Christa, before he would be mocked and teased by his friends. Party-goers began to slowly trickle away and with that, the music slowly became quieter. After another hour or so, Billie had ushered everyone out into the longue, where they managed to push every piece of furniture to the walls, before sitting in a circle on the floor. Discarded bottles and cans littered the area, some of the bowls empty but most still half full with snacks and candy. For a while, the group played games; the classics of spin the bottle, truth or dare, charades. A game of wink murder was played several times, before Mike suggested the more daring game of murder in the dark. The game went on for a good half hour, man people gaining bruises, and bumps from walking into things, being accidentally kicked or having fallen a little too hard to the ground, before several people announced that they were bored. It wasn’t long, before someone suggested horror stories. People seated themselves around the room, settling down and getting comfy in their spots. Several more people had disappeared, as people took it in turns to tell ghost stories
Gerard’s POV
“And then, the troch flickers, and dies out, the batteries dead, the only light coming through the broken windows,” Jason spoke quietly. I’m not one for ghost stories. It’s not that they scare me, I just don’t believe in ghosts. Yeah sure, vampires and ghouls are awesome, and zombies and all that jazz, but when it comes to ghosts? Come off it, there’s plenty of plausible and reasonable explanations why you hear footsteps, doors close, things supposedly move, shadows on the walls, cold rooms and things that go bump in the night
“Slowly, the girl walks down the corridor, in the darkness,” Jason drones on. I roll my eyes at how people are sat staring so intently at him
“When suddenly-”
“RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRR!” I jump violently as Mikey falls sideways into me, screaming along with everyone else. I glance around wildly, only to spot, none other than Tré rolling on the floor by Billie’s feet, laughing his head off
“Fuck man!” Mike said sitting up, prying Brittany off him
“What are you trying to do? Give us all heart failure!” Adrienne shouted, while Billie bundled on Tré
“My God! Your faces!” Tré wheezed out, while trying to push Billie off him. Mikey sat up shakily next to me, while Bob pushed Ray away from him
“Not funny man!” Jason scowled, “You ruined my story!”
“I didn’t ruin it,” Tré said smugly, as Billie managed to slap him around the head. I chuckled as the two bundled on the floor
“If you ask me, I made it better, no one else screamed at the other stories,” Tré reasoned with him. Jason thought for a moment, before shrugging and nodding his head
“Jesus Billie, I know you love me and all, but don’t you think Adrienne would get jealous?” Tré smirked, before Billie hit him one last time, before sitting back next to Adrienne. Tré sat up and chuckled again before moving and sitting somewhere else
“Right, my turn to tell a scary story,” Billie spoke up. I rolled my eyes again, sitting back and crossing my arms across my chest
“And don’t you even think of ruining it Tré,” Billie warned, pointing a finger at Tré
“Do I get chocolate milk if I behave?” Tré asked
“Only if you behave,” Billie sighed, but laughed as Tré clapped his hands, earning laughter from around the room
“What’s your story then Billie?” Jamia asked. Billie smirked
“Anyone heard of the story of the old abandoned house on Perry Street?” Billie asked, glancing around at everyone. There were murmurs of confirmation; a few people shook their head. Mikey nodded along with Bob. Both me and Ray raised our eyebrows at them
“Well, for those of you that don’t, many years ago, a family lived there. Your average family, mother and father and their two children; a son and a daughter. One day, a patient from a psychiatric ward at the hospital had gone missing. The two children had been playing out front, when the patient wondered down onto the street, He approached the two children, both of them knowing that it was dangerous to speak to anyone that they didn’t know. The son called out to their father, only for the patient to get frustrated with the child and advanced towards them. The two children screamed as he climbed the fence and they ran back into the house. The father appeared in the doorway, along with a few neighbours looking out at the scene playing out in front of them. The patient was shouting, begging them to be quiet; that he didn’t want to hurt any of them. The father ushered the two children inside, to their mother, who took hold of her two children. The father retreated into the house also, but wasn’t quick enough to close the door. Someone in the neighbourhood had already called the cops. The patient burst through the door, shutting it behind him, where he then began to shout. The family retreated, the mother forcing her children down into the basement. A fight broke out between the father and the patient, the mother hysterical as she watched, the children cowering down in the darkness. The patient lashed out at the father, grabbing a kitchen knife from the side. Blood splattered everywhere. The father collapsed to the ground, shaking uncontrollably. The patient turned on the mother, advancing, brandishing the knife. He swung for her as the front door opened. The cops filed into the room, and a gunshot goes off and the patient falls down, dead.”
The room is silent as everyone stares at Billie; even Tré is silent as he listens
“The father died of blood loss. The mother was taken away, mentally and physically scarred; damaged. The children were taken away, into foster care. They lost their father and mother. To this day, there are rumours, that if you go into that house, you can still hear the frantic screams of the mother, and the patient shouting. People hear shuffling footsteps, the sounds of someone having a scuffle. There are bloodstains on the floor and walls. You can hear the cries of the children, as they listen to their father get murdered and their mother go insane.” I scoff and my brother stares at me
“Many people have gone in there, but soon came out after a few minutes,” Billie sighed, leaning back again
“Is that really true?” Lyn-z asked
“Look it up, it’s a true story,” Billie shrugged
“I wouldn’t want to go in there,” Alicia shuddered
“Why? It’s just an empty house,” I said
“An empty house, that had a murder take place in it,” Adrienne said
“So?” I shrug. Mikey shook his head at me
“Wouldn’t it freak you out?” Mike asked
“No, because there’s no such thing as ghosts,” I said
“There is!” someone exclaimed. I laughed
“No there isn’t,” I argued, “It’s all in your imagination.” Billie rose his eyebrows at me and stared
“Well it is!” I exclaimed
“Are you telling me, that you don’t believe in ghosts?” Billie asked
“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” I nod. Billie chuckled
“So, you’d quite happily go into that house,” Billie said, sitting up a little straighter
“Unless it was structurally unstable, then yes I would go into that house,” I said. Billie looked at Mike quickly, before looking back at me
“Would you spend a night there?” Billie asked
“Don’t see why not,” I shrugged. Ray and Bob looked at me, slightly surprised
“Are you mad?” Christa asked
“Quite possibly, I’m not exactly sane,” I mumbled a little towards the end
“You got that right, mind you, you’re saner than Tré,” Ray said. I glanced over at Tré who was still staring intently at Billie. Billie sat silently for a moment, staring at me
“Alright then Gerard, seeming as you’re such a sceptic about ghosts, I dare you to spend one night in that house,” Billie said. The room went quiet and I could feel everyone staring at me
“Fine,” I said
“If you go, I’m going too,” Mikey said
“What? Why?” I asked
“Just because,” Mikey shrugged. I sighed
“Alright,” I said
“I’m coming too,” Bob said, “Not going to let you two have all the fun.”
“And me,” Ray said, staring over at Christa
“Man, you guys and fucking bat shit crazy,” Adrienne said, as everyone in the room agreed
“So, when do we spend the night there?” Ray asked drawing his eyes away from Christa
“How about tonight?” Billie suggested. We nodded our heads in agreement and Billie smirked slightly
“And I’ll come and check in the morning, to make sure you’re all not dead,” Billie said, wrapping an arm around Adrienne. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. The room went quiet again, the music playing very quietly now in the background
“Do I get my chocolate milk now?” Tré spoke up, making everyone giggle

What did you guys think? I did a lot of editing to this and may even do a little more, just tweak little bits. Also if I have said something or used a word that you don't understand, either ask me or just look it up. Hope you guys enjoyed it!
