chapter 5

I stare blankly at the TV.Some movie,Dawn of the dead i think.
My phone vibrates and the sound of Smashing Pumpkins fills the atmosphere.
"Hello?"I answer.
"Gee.It's Mikey.Alicia's gone into labour."Mikey says,panicing
"And?"I ask.
"And we need you."Mikey nearly screams down the phone.
"I don't know how to deliver a fucking baby!"I protest
"Didn't you study it in health class?"Mikey asks
"Yeah.15 fucking years ago!"I reply.
"Look,we don't have much time!"Mikey says
"Ok,I'm on my way.."I sigh and hang up.

"C'mon Alicia.Just one last push!"I encourage.
After like 2 hours,a bloody,gutsy baby appears in front of me.
"Mikey!Go get some stuff to clean the baby off with!"I shout.
"I've already called the paramedics.I've also called Frank and Ray."Mikey says,coinhg into the room and putting his cell in his jean pocket.
"We did it,Mikey!We have a baby!"Alicia beams.
"So,I'd better get outta your way.."I trail off
"Well,don't you wanna hold her,Uncle Gee?"Mikey asks,holding out the sqirmning child.
"Go on then"I say and take the child into my arms
"You have a name for her yet?"I ask,looking at the baby's flushed face
"Well,we've decided to call her Sadie"Mikey smiles.
Sadie opens her small eyes and looks at my face.
Her eyes.
Those are Helena's eyes.
A darkish green.
She has Helena's hair too.
Small tufts of dark brown hair.
"Mikey,she's beautiful"I say,astonished.
Theres a knock at the door.
"Ray!Frank!"Mikey exclaims.
"Mikes!"They both greet with pride.
"C'mon in guys!"He greets,letting them through.
"Gee?"Frankie says.
"Frankie.."I breathe.
"I need to talk to you ok?"Frankie says,leading me into the other room.
"Look,I'm sorry ok?I didn't mean what I said.I love you.I always will"Frankie blurts out.
"Frankie,I love you too!"I say gleefully and pull him into a tight hug
We finally let it all out and kiss.
"Don't ever leave me again"I whisper
"Never"He whispers back with a smile as we hold each other in the moonlight..
