Edward insisted we get on a train instead of going to an inn. When we got on the train I passed out as soon as I was conferrable. My head was on Ed’s shored and I was holding is metal arm. After a few hours Ed woke me up saying we were there. I didn’t know where “there” was but I didn’t really care. We were walking to HQ it turns out. I think they were being a little over pretested because Al was in front of me and Ed was behind me. When we got there everyone was staring at me like I was a big pimple. We went up to their dorm and I sat on the bed while Ed went down to Cornel Mustang’s office. It was very awkward being there with Al. I got board so I started practicing my fire. When I finally got a fireball Ed and Roy came in and saw me doing it (oh crud). They stopped at the door and were staring at me, at first I didn’t notice them starting but I did when I heard the door hit the wall. I made it disappear when I saw them staring. I stood and smiled at them as my cheeks heated. When they snapped out of it, Roy said-
“Hi I’m Cornel Mustang it’s nice to finally meet you”
Right then I got mad because we meet before and if I remember right he wanted me away from Ed. I must have gotten real mad because he took a step back because my hands were on fire (of course). I shook them and made them go out and I took a step back. I felt extremely short 3’7” isn’t the tallest a 10 year old can be. I guess it was mine turn to break the silence that time-
“So- how are you?”
Roy chuckled at that and made my cheeks heat again. Ed must of notice because he was pretending to be sick. That made me laugh and I swear that was the first time in years I have laughed (literally). Roy turned around to see Ed still pretending to be sick so he went to smack him in the back of the head. Then they started talking to themselves like I wasn’t there. I sat on the bed and tried to make fire again. It took a little longer because I didn’t want them to see it. When I got it, it keeps getting bigger but I could still control it. After a while they stopped talking but at that time I was making the fireball into a twister. When I notice they were starting I said-
“Cool right?”
“How are you doing that- are you using alchemy or something?” Said Ed
“I’m not sure” I said
They looked at me kind of wearied.
“So what’s going on? You guys are excluding me from the conversation.”
They told me everything that happened. Then the wanted to hear what happened 3 years ago so I told them and they looked a little shocked about what I said. A woman knocked at the door and said that she needed Roy so he left us and I sat back on the bed. Ed sat next to me and it was quite for awhile. Then Ed said-
“Can you show me what you were doing with the fire?”
“Sure”
I put out my hand and started thinking of fire and soon there was a little fireball over my hand and after awhile it got bigger and bigger until it was the size of and balloon. He just stared at it for awhile. Then there was a knock at the door that made me jump and the fireball disappear. Ed got up and answered the door.
“What are you doing here?”Said Ed
“Well I heard that your little sister was here and just wanted to see her so badly!”Said the man at the door.
Ed sighed and called me over to the door. The guy had big muscle and was very big compared to me also his voice was very deep.
“Well hello there you must be Fullmetal’s sister, I’m Cornell Armstrong.” he said with a creepy smile.
“Hi I’m Nikkie nice to meet you”
After a couple seconds he said-
“Oh she is nothing like you Fullmetal, she so sweet and nice-“
“Don’t you have some place to be?” said Ed
When he left Ed said sorry I had to meet him he said in and annoyed voice. We sat there for awhile in silence. I must have dosed off after awhile because I woke up with a blanket over me. I was alone in the room. It was 1:45 P.M. by the alarm clock in there. I stretched and brushed my hair and made myself look presentable. Just them Ed came in and was happy to see me. He came over and kissed the top of my head as he looked for something.
“Where the hell is it?” he said
“What?” I said
“I had a book somewhere around here” he said
As I turned I saw a book under the bed and grabbed it.
“Is this it” I said holding up the book.
“Yes” he said
He looked throw the book.
“Hey want to come, we are going somewhere” he asked
“Sure why not” I answered back
We walked down the hall way and stilled a lot of people were staring at me when I walked by.
“Hey why are they staring at me it’s kind of creepy” I asked
“Probity because they are wondering who you are and why your with me” he said
“Oh”
We walked to the train station and met Al there. We got on a train and I stared out a window.
After a couple moments Ed said-
“Hey want to play cards?” as he took out a deck of cards.
“No way, you all ways beat me” said Al
“I’ll play”
“Well I’m undefeated so better pay attention”
We played making smart ass remarks as we played. But he beat me in the first game.
“Ha! I win, I guess I’m just that good” he said with a smirk.
“Let’s play again but this time let me shuffle ok.”
He handed me the cards and I started counting them. 48,49,50,51.
“Hey there is only 51 cards in here were missing one!”
I grabbed his arm and found number 52 hidden.
“Ed you cheater!” said Al.
I started laughing so hard that everyone turned to look at me. We played some more and I won! When the train got into the station we got off and started walking to this house. It was very windy and it looked as if a storm was coming. Ed knocked on the door and a girl answered the door and gave Ed I huge hug and said hi to Al. She didn’t see me standing behind Ed until he moved aside to introduced me to her-
“Winry I want you to meet Nikkie” he said
“Hi I’m Winry nice to meet you” she said as she bent down.
We went in and I sat in between Ed and Al. Ed and Winry were talking for the longest time. After a while I went over to the window and just stared out watching the rain hitting the ground. I fell asleep at the window and had the worse nightmare ever: I was running thru the woods running away from someone; they were yelling my name and trying to find me. I came to a clearing with a lake in the middle. I jumped in and started swimming to the other side. They were still yelling my name, still trying to find me. That’s when someone or something gabbed my leg and was pulling me down under. I was trying to go up but it was pulling me down further and further down until I ran out of breath. That’s when I woke up. I was still on the windowsill covered in cold sweat. It was morning and the sun was just now coming up. Ed was on the couch a sleep. I still was looking out the window when Winry came down.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” she asked in a quite tone.
I was kind of surprised to see her. I shook my head to agree. She came over and sat next to me and we watch the sun rise for a little bit. After awhile I turned to look at Ed who was still sleeping on the couch.
“I just wanted to know- how do you know Edward?” She asked
“Well to make things short-“I paused looking up at him.
“He’s my older brother.” I finished.
She looked at me like she didn’t catch the last part.
By that time, the sun was already up so I helped clean up the place. Everyone else woke up and we had breakfast.
